Posted: 28 Dec 2019 06:52 PM PST Just confirmed with apple support, the extended version of Straight Outta Compton has been removed from iTunes and will no longer play or download to any idevices. Senior support will not issue a refund or credit to replace the lost content and only suggestion was to back up movies externally in the future. Edit: the issue is only with the unrated version, the theatrical version is still in the store, see photo - https://i.imgur.com/gHMdT2j.jpg Edit 2: Chat Transcript [link] [comments]
AppleTV 4K HDR+Stereo Homepods+4K PLEX Media Content = Sweet 4K HDR BLISS Posted: 28 Dec 2019 02:35 PM PST I have to say, i had to upgrade to AppleTV 4K in order for Plex 4K content to stream properly. I can finally stream any 4K content I want. The built in "chromecast" built into my android tv was utter garbage. It could stream 4K Plex content but it would buffer and fail. Also AppleTV 4th gen Bluetooth 4.0 tech was killling audio quality and Siri handoff's. Once i switched to AppleTV 4K (bluetooth 5.0) ,alot of problems/bugs went away and I was able to do everything i wanted. My Only Negative.... Youtube 4K gone.... /sigh. This ECO system has matured. The holy trinty is complete. I see what apples vision is... and sonna bitch I'm in! Anyone have any questions? [link] [comments]
Anyone else having issues when streaming from iPhone to AppleTv? Posted: 28 Dec 2019 08:32 PM PST Just recently when I'm attempting to stream a sporting event or movie from my phone to airplay on my tv it won't allow me to connect. Thought it was just mine but went to my parents and it's the same issue even if using his phone and Apple TV. Anyone come across this issue and is there a fix? [link] [comments]
Apple TV 4K started flickering while watching content on Apple TV+, Netflix, & HBO apps Posted: 28 Dec 2019 12:18 PM PST Over the last couple days I've noticed while watching random shows that the screen will flash black for a quick second and then the HDR logo pops on in top right when the screen comes back on. Not sure why it started doing this all of the sudden but it's super annoying. I am on the latest beta and not sure if a recent automatic update has started causing this. Anyone having similar issues recently or know of a potential fix? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Apple TV App - Low Res playback on 2018 MBP 15 Posted: 28 Dec 2019 11:28 AM PST So I just started using the Apple TV app. It's nice but my movies look low res andI'm not sure why. For example: I own Interstellar and it says 4K on the splash screen, but when I attempt to playback, its fuzzy and looks mediocre. My wifi is currently around 400mbps down so I don't think thats the issue. Streaming settings are set to "Best". Does apple just not allow higher resolution playback on macbook without an external display? Not even 1440p? [link] [comments]

Can I use Link Bar Remote on Apple TV? Posted: 28 Dec 2019 02:27 PM PST I got my parents a JBL LinkBar for Christmas (https://www.jbl.com/soundbars/JBL+LINK+BAR-.html) I've finally set up the apple tv through the hdmi input on the soundbar. My question is since the soundbar remote has pairing capabilities, can I use it to control the apple tv in lieu of the apple remote? If this is possible to have both remotes connected to the apple tv if someone has a preference for the original remote? [link] [comments]
Mandalorian: Atmos on Apple TV? Posted: 28 Dec 2019 08:56 AM PST Was anyone able to get Atmos working for mandalorian? It claims it works on the video page but doesn't enable when I load up an episode. I can get Atmos going on Netflix and other Disney movies. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Dec 2019 07:42 AM PST Is it possible to play Monopoly on the Apple TV? It's in the iOS App Store, but I don't know if there is a compatible version for Apple TV 4, or if it is possible to use AirPlay. Thoughts? Thanks... [link] [comments]

Newbie to Apple TV 4K — got some questions Posted: 28 Dec 2019 05:41 AM PST Hi there, me and my wife got ourself an Apple TV 4K, we are using it for some time and I have a few questions, but before that here are the specs: - Apple TV 4K - LG 43UJ670V (4K HDR) - LG Soundbar - Apple tv connected to TV with HDMI 2.0 (cable type, ARC port) - Soundbar connected to TV with LG SoundSync (bluetooth) - 4K 60 HZ, HDR settings + 4:2:2 colour
General Feedback: On our setup the image is rich in colors, no overkill (too saturated) and with the clearmotion OFF (tv settings), we got no "soap-opera" effects. Took me a while to set it up, regarding image quality, but we're very happy with the results and experience. Backstory: The TVs smart functions started to lagg due to low memory storage and low processing power (youtube is a pain to use), the interface felt more and more sluggy and laggy, sometimes the wifi would get stuck in "no internet" and many many many issues, but the most disturbing was that playing 4K videos through network (Plex) seem a nightmare with most of the time stuck in "buffering" or crashing (even playing from an USB hard drive), since switching to ATV, there are no more issues, cleaned the TV apps (uninstall) and everything is good now (except the TV/soundbard itself). Any other tips and tricks you got for us? P.S. I've seen people complain about ATV going to sleep during airplay, we don't have this issue, although it is set to 15 mins, sometimes we stream from our phone for hours without an issue.
