Posted: 30 Dec 2019 10:13 PM PST Just bought an Apple TV 4K 32GB model for Christmas and am trying to use the Movies Anywhere app. Regular/HD content plays fine, but 4K HDR content will not play. | Set up a new Apple TV, activating One Home Screen screwed up all my other Apple TVs Posted: 31 Dec 2019 01:53 AM PST I just set up a new Apple TV and when I activated the one-home-screen setting I expected it to update the new device to match my existing devices. Instead the new device downloaded every app I ever purchased in random order and overwrote the home screens on my other Apple TVs. Is there any way to revert my Apple TVs back to their previous state? I think the thing that may have screwed me over was using my iPhone to set up the new Apple TV when I should've just done a manual set up. I'm so mad that the ATV isn't smart enough to know that the home screen I physically customized should be the one to mirror. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 30 Dec 2019 05:11 AM PST My wife and I would love to watch a show while the kids are in bed without disturbing them. However, I have yet to find an actual, workable solution for doing this. From a software perspective, I know that iOS 13 brought AirPod sharing but that would require me to make my iPhone into an AirPlay receiver which I have scoured the internet for and come up empty on old solutions or ones that only work via Jailbreak. From a hardware perspective, I'm just not really sure where to go or what the best product may be. Has anyone had any success connecting two AirPods to an AppleTV in some way? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Plex 4K issues and home screen washed out Posted: 30 Dec 2019 11:21 AM PST Hi all, I bought a Apple TV 4K for my living room, I have a Samsung KS8000 going into a Denon X2300W receiver. The Apple TV defaulted to 4K 60 HDR which is fine and the screensavers look great but the home screen looks washed out and dim. I have changed the Apple TV to 4K SDR and the home screen looks better but I have lost the HDR screensavers, looking online this seems to have been a problem for a while but there still isn't a fix or workaround. My last issue is that plex doesn't like my 4K files, at first I was having lip-sync issues with both 720/1080p and 4K content until I turned off the experimental player, then my 720/1080p issues went away but I'm still having lip-sync issues at 4K. However if I use MRMC the 4K lip-sync is fine. My Apple TV is connected to wired gigabit. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 30 Dec 2019 09:14 AM PST I have my Apple TV setup with profiles. The profiles are being pulled from my Home app. All three Apple TV's were working fine and the profiles were all available. However, about a week ago all but two profiles are now missing. Is there a way to have those profiles return without manually entering the Apple IDs or rebuilding all three Apple TV's? I have two Apple TV 4K's and one Apple TV 4th Generation. All three have Single Screen enabled. Any information on this subject is greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]  |
