But I've noticed that there are some specks of silver on the aluminum band of my black XR, as well as on the band that goes around the camera. I've had this phone for only 5 months and I never used it without a case. I'm worried because my previous gold 6s had this issue too, and it was really bad. I only noticed it was happening on my 6s when it was already too late, since I always kept it in a case too. Should I get my XR checked and see if I can still have it replaced? The glass screen became severed and the white backlighting is exposed. I wanted to move the stuff off my phone to my pc, but I the phone doesn't respond to touch. The home button also later died. | Issues with random battery drain Posted: 21 Nov 2019 10:29 AM PST So over the past few weeks, I have noticed that my battery percentage indicator has been behaving oddly. I don't have a lot of apps and I don't use my phone for much apart from messaging. As a result, it rarely drops by 1% more frequently than every 1.5-2 hours or so. However, over the last few weeks, I have noticed strange drops in the battery, as well as a single percentage hanging for up to 10 hours. For an example, I charged my phone to 100% on Monday night. Its drain was fine all of Tuesday, until, after leaving it for a while, 15 mins, on 85%, it dropped to 80% when I came back. Its drain was again fine over night, being only 74% when I woke up. However, once I came home from work, after switching off mobile data and using wifi, I came back after a few mins and it was down from 65% to 60%. Went out for the night, came back, did the same action again, and it was down from 55% to 50%. Yet overnight it drained fine, barely 6%. Now it's been on 43% since 8 in the morning, despite having used it since then. It's been on 43% for about 10.5 hours now. Is this a known issue with recent versions of iOS? I am not sure what version of iOS I was on when I started. Checking analytics, it says that when I updated on Monday I was on 12.4.1, but I was already on that version when I installed an update in October, but I updated to iOS 13 on Monday, so I am now on 13.2.3 [link] [comments]  |
