Haptic feedback when driving Posted: 01 Nov 2019 04:14 AM PDT I'm loving the haptic taps for left and right turns from my Apple Watch when using Maps. When I choose 'software update' in the Watch app on my phone, I get the message that my "software is up to date". Shouldn't I be able to upgrade to watchOS 6.1? watchOS 6.1 Walkie-Talkie persistent silence noise Posted: 01 Nov 2019 07:49 AM PDT Has anyone else noticed since upgrading to watchOS 6.1 that after someone finishes talking to you over walkie-talkie that there's a "background noise" sound that keeps emanating from the watch speaker? It seems to persist until the watch is rebooted. So far I've come across this with two watches, an S3 and an S4. Switching my apple watch to a new iPhone Posted: 01 Nov 2019 01:31 AM PDT So I got my new iPhone today and have a (probably quite simple) question. I like to set up new phones completely from scratch without applying a backup. Thats a nice method of mine to clean up all those unused apps. I enabled the Health app in the iCloud settings, will my health data sync to the new phone if I set it up without the backup of my old phone? Weird problem with text messaging. Posted: 01 Nov 2019 12:24 AM PDT Hello All, I have been having a very weird problem with text messaging on my AW S4. I can receive texts, I can send original texts, but I cannot REPLY to texts or threads of texts. Every time I try to reply to a text on my AW, the green 'send status indicator' line goes almost to the end, but every single text ends up with a red exclamation point by it. I try to re-send, and it never works. I have restarted both the iPhone and the watch several times, and re-paired twice - once as a recent backup, and once as a new watch, ... with no luck. I'm hesitant to Factory Reset the device, due to an "Activation Lock" - I'm not sure how that works. I don't want to render my AW unusable... Any advice? Watch OS 6.1, S5 Battery Drain with Weather Complication Posted: 31 Oct 2019 08:32 PM PDT Hi, recently got an S5 coming from an S4 and I noticed that the battery drains a lot faster. Obviously, the AOD can attribute to some of that, but I also noticed that the hollow location arrow is always showing on both my watch and phone. Now, this only happens when I have the weather complication on the face. I don't remember having this on my S4, but could also be due to OS 6. Just wondering if anyone else has the same 'issue' on their S4 or S5. Some people have said the hollow arrow has no effect on battery life, some people say it does. 12 hours off the charger, I'll end up with around 60% life left. Any insights?? I'm also on 6.1.
