Posted: 26 Oct 2019 01:04 AM PDT Hi there! I'm Manuel and I've been building Email Me in my free time for the last couple of years. Email Me it is the easiest and fastest way to email something yourself so you will never forget things again. Ever.Power users will enjoy faster access to Email Me with Siri Shortcuts integrations, Today Extension Widget, and the Share and Action Extension. Recently, I've updated it with a few more features like native Dark Mode support, Focus theme, and voice control support. iTunes - https://apps.apple.com/app/id1090744587 I'll be giving away 10 promo codes for the first 10 users who message me for one. The codes will be sent a bit later tonight. I'd love any feedback or thoughts on it. If there are any questions at all I could answer I'd be more than happy to. Thanks for checking it out! 😊 — Manuel [link] [comments]

Great Customer Service at Apple Store Montreal Posted: 25 Oct 2019 09:50 AM PDT I wanted to share with you my recent experience of Apple's Customer Service at their store. For about a month or two, I have had problems with my trackpad after opening my Macbook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015). The cursor would be stuck at the upper left of the screen. Two days ago, I opened my laptop and the cursor was again unresponsive. I plugged in an external mouse and was glad to see I could move the cursor. However, keyboard was not working. I was thus unable to go into Safe Mode or do a SMC reset. I booked an appointment at the Genius Bar, explained my issue and the employee started doing some diagnosis. He told me that I would need to replace the trackpad flex cable that connects trackpad and keyboard. It would cost me CA$122 ($13 cable + $109 labor) and I was happy with that. During the diagnosis, he saw some coating issue on display and told me that Apple is aware of this "coating" on Retina Display and that they would replace it for free. He then added the display repair as the main repair which covers labor fees. I would now have to only pay $13 for a brand new Retina display and the repair of my trackpad/keyboard. Thank you Apple :) [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Oct 2019 10:44 PM PDT I should preface this with: my app is a very niche app targeted for options traders. If you're not familiar with options trading, what it is, how it works, why you would want an app like this. I don't want to waste your time (even if the app is free)! A few months ago, I posted on /r/Options announcing the release of the first version of my iOS app that allowed you to build and test different strategies and view a comprehensive and easy to understand profit/loss spreadsheet. Today, I'm posting because version 2.0 has been approved and I wanted to highlight some cool new features that have been added in the past few months.
I would also like to address the pricing model of the app. The app is free and allows you to manage one strategy at a time to the full capability of the app (no features other than the one strategy at a time limit are restricted). This was done on purpose to give users an idea if the app is for them without leaving them to guess if various features would be useful to them. If you find the app useful and want to be able to manage more than one strategy, the 'full' version of the app (which is solely the ability to manage unlimited strategies simultaneously) is $5.99. Either way, it'd be really cool if you checked it out and left me your thoughts below. Bugs/glitches/missing features that you think are essential are all things that I'm looking to improve on! So please don't let what's missing or what could be fixed completely turn you off from the idea behind the app. Available for FREE on the iOS App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/options-profit-calculator/id1471273380 P.S. Mac & Android are on the way! [link] [comments]
Feature Request: Calendar app on iOS should receive a badge on days of contacts’ birthdays Posted: 25 Oct 2019 06:37 AM PDT I know it can be setup to send a push notification in the mornings. That doesn't do it for me. I want an annoying red badge to remind me through the entire day. There would definitely need to be a way to limit this to just your family or closest friends, whoever you care about most. However, I do recognize that granular notification control is wishful thinking at this point in time. I think it would be a nice feature. [link] [comments]
