| Posted: 03 Sep 2019 03:43 PM PDT I recently downloaded three games that seemed to be absolutely terrible based solely upon their advertisements: AFK Arena, Archero, and Epic Quest for Mighty loot. AFK Arena has advertisements that look identical to one of those "stolen footage" ads for a game that is probably garbage. Turns out this game has a lot of depth, a huge player base and lots of longevity! Next in question is Archero. I can't tell you how many times I saw gameplay that said at the top "My sister fainted after making it to level 20!" Or "you're officially skilled if you can make it to level 30!@ I downloaded the game just to see how bad it was, and it's amazing! Fun levels that you progress through with neat skills that keep you coming back. Lastly is the Epic Quest for Mighty loot. I've seen ad after cringe-inducing ad that says "YASSS! BEST LOOT EVER!" And "RAID DUNGEONS LIKE A BOSS!" Those ads made me cringe so hard, and I wouldn't have given it a chance had someone on this sub not recommended it. Overall, WHY are mobile game companies so terrible at advertising games that are otherwise a blast?! Their games are so great, but I can't imagine how many people will never touch it because of god-awful ad campaigns. Such a shame. [link] [comments]  |
