- I have new ATV 4K. Works perfect for a day. Then when press menu to go back, it flashes briefly to green screen, lags, loses signal for a few seconds, and when signal comes back it is at the exact same spot I started. When reset, it all starts again. All’s good for a few hours, then green screen.

Download 4K movies on 5K iMac? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 08:46 PM PDT Is this possible? Catalina says that it should be allowed. Thinking about the possibility of downloading 4K to desktop to stream to ATV. [link] [comments] |
Apple TV remote - Sleep turns off my TV Posted: 23 Sep 2019 02:47 AM PDT Hi all, when I put my Apple TV to sleep, it turns off my LG TV as well. Is there any way I can stop this happening? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2019 09:30 PM PDT So apparently 300 is really fun despite the director having a funky track record? I want to watch it but the spinning ring just keeps spinning, I tried watching a tv show, same thing. Any movie or tv show will just keep spinning. Doesn't matter if they're Netflix originals or not. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app and I logged out of all my devices in case someone was using it. My WiFi is pretty good and it works on my Mac and phone... does anyone have a fix or am I doomed to only playing assassins creed odyssey? [link] [comments] |
AppleTVs suddenly say incorrect password Posted: 22 Sep 2019 02:17 PM PDT Last night, one of my AppleTVs stopped connecting to my wifi network, and when I try to reconnect, it says "incorrect password". The screen then loops around the loading icon. I'm usually given a prompt to input a new password when switching networks. I'm currently connected to a different network, but the original one still doesn't work, even after rebooting the TV. Today, the second AppleTV started exhibiting the same behavior. Does anyone know what's happening and how to fix it? [link] [comments] |

Can I airplay music without turning the screen on? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 06:57 PM PDT I have a setup with TV + Apple TV + AV Receiver + Speakers. Would it be possible to listen to music without turning the TV screen on? My AV receiver does not support airplay. If I had an AV receiver that supports airplay, would it be possible? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 09:26 PM PDT So originally with the TV app, it would show movies/tv shows I could watch with the apps I had downloaded already. And I loved that. Now after the fancy new update to the tv app, it in no way shape or form does that. The only things I can find are for me to purchase subscriptions to other streaming services. Am I missing something or did they make it complete trash? [link] [comments] |
Minimize icon visible during pause? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 03:49 PM PDT I'm having a really hard time Googling this, so I'm hoping someone has a clue... When I pause a movie on Apple TV, there's a small button/icon that pops up towards the bottom middle of the screen. It looks like wants to represent "minimize" or something (one square within in another, and an arrow from one to the other) I can't figure out how to get there to activate it, or what it does. What is that thing? [link] [comments] |
Apple TV App says TV show needs to be purchased now after I bought it months ago Posted: 22 Sep 2019 08:08 AM PDT So weird thing started happening randomly with the Apple TV App. I purchased the complete Modern Family seasons 1-9 (the big bulk one, not individual seasons) awhile back when it was on sale. It used to play through the TV App just fine. Now when I go to play it through "Watch Now", it says I need to purchase each episode, it no longer recognizes them as purchased. I can still play the episodes if I go to library in the TV app or the TV Shows app but I can no longer play episodes from the up next/watch now part of the app. Anyone else have this issue? EDIT: I also bought the complete series of The Office, Magnum PI, and Friday Night Lights...none of these shows have the same error as above, they all work fine. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2019 05:06 AM PDT Wondering if anyone has run into this issue before. I only have 1 single ATV in my house, but I seem to have an issue with multiple Apple TV with the same name showing in the selector in the ATV remote (I'm also noticing it in the Shortcuts app) but I can't for the life of me figure out how to change or remove them - they are both the same but one of them doesn't work. I have tried renaming, restarting and changing the name back, bu no bingo. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2019 01:27 PM PDT Has anyone's viacom channels lost the ability to show live tv? (i.e. Mtv,Comedy central etc..) I was able to live stream as recently as a week or so ago. My cable provider is also signed in. TIA! [link] [comments] |
Having issues with the YouTube app, here’s the solution: Posted: 22 Sep 2019 03:59 PM PDT I used to have some issues with theYouTube app and first I thought it was a wrongful configuration. I had deleted and downloaded the app many times also reset the Apple TV4 and didn't solved the problem. Then I downloaded the tvOS 12 Beta Software and it got fixed. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2019 09:20 AM PDT Sometimes when I put my Apple TV to sleep it'll wake itself back up after about 5-10 seconds. This doenst happen everytime I put it to sleep, but when it does happen, I will have to end up turning the TV itself off because sleeping the Apple TV wont do it like it normally will. Like I started out with, this doesnt happen everytime, so I have no idea what could be causing it. And yes I make sure to not touch the remote after hitting sleep, because most of us should know how touchy that thing can be. Any and all help will be appreciated! [link] [comments] |
Controlling volume in the remote app Posted: 22 Sep 2019 09:05 AM PDT Something strange happens in my Apple ecosystem: When I connect my Apple TV with my AirPods, I can control the volume with the buttons of my iPhone while the remote app is on screen. That doesn't work when my Apple TV is connected to my HomePod. On the other side, when controlling Apple TV wirh the interface opened in control centre, I can suddenly change volume of my HomePod the way it used to be 🧐 I don't understand this behaviour, what can I do to fix this? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 05:05 PM PDT First day with new Apple TV, and as a longtime fan of the desktops, laptops, Pods, Pads and OSs, I've got to say that, IMHO, after spending a few minutes with this user-oblivious hockey puck ghost of Steve Jobs would be find a window overlooking the dumpster and chuck it in. And, if the trash level was high enough to avoid risk of serious injury, he'd pitch the interface designers in after it. [link] [comments] |
