| Why did Safari 13.0 remove support for legacy extensions? Posted: 23 Sep 2019 12:00 AM PDT For example, uBlock origin which is a popular safari extension is no longer available? Is this because all the safari extensions have moved to the app store? Also, how do you probably see what safari extensions are available? https://safari-extensions.apple.com/ simply opens up the app store with a massive list of all the safari extensions? | Posted: 22 Sep 2019 03:07 AM PDT I'm trying to resolve an issue with iCloud. I'd like to try signing out of iCloud on my Mac running macOS Mojave, since iCloud is only giving the error "iCloud storage is full" on that one and not any others. But my question is this: If I sign out of iCloud, say to keep my data on the computer, and then sign back in, will that duplicate data? (Contacts/calendar stuff/etc).? Edit: I caved and called Apple. | Mojave Patcher on Mac Mini Server? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 11:07 AM PDT I'm thinking of buying a used 2011 Mac Mini Server. I'm about 99% it should be able to run Mojave (Desktop) with the Mojave patcher, as I've read that the Server editions are basically the same machine with a different CPU, but can anyone confirm this? | Posted: 22 Sep 2019 07:30 PM PDT OK - hardware: 2019 MBP Core i9, 500gb SSD . Went to Catalina, had major issues (mapping a drive in AD when I'm not full time connected, and can't boot in unless it's in safe mode). When I restored from Time Machine (Friday's backup before doing the Catalina install), the first time it failed (I was very concerned) I came back to the Mac after the restore to a flashing folder with the question mark. I figured something burped along the way, and tried again, and it worked the next time. Now, looking in Finder, I see a separate Macintosh HD, and in disk utility, I see two. One is bootable, the other is all grey (shows as an APFS volume with "Other Volumes" for the progress indicator). The space for this ghost drive shows 499.96 and under it says shared by 5 volumes. Here is the output of diskutil list: Did I goof up doing the restore? Should I take another backup to Time Machine, and then do another restore? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 22 Sep 2019 03:37 PM PDT Within the last 2 days I have been experiencing MAJOR mouse lag and it occurs whether I'm using Magic Mouse 1 or MX Master 1. I don't experience any lag when I use my MX on my ThinkPad. I have removed the Magic Mouse from settings and reconnected it, I have also restarted my MacBook Peo multiple times . Same issue. The only program that I currently have been running is PyCharm. I though PC was the issue so I switched to VSCode. Same issue. Is there a new update that could be causing it? I updated safari and I don't believe that to be the issue as it was lagging prior to the update. It's a 2017 13in MBP 2.9 8gb 512gb connected to LG UK650-W running at 2k [link] [comments]  | ||

| External display’s not detected Posted: 22 Sep 2019 04:15 PM PDT Dear reader, I'm using a Mac Pro 3,1 (early 2008) and am running Mojave. I have installed an after market GPU. The AMD Radeon R9 280x. (Supporting up to 4 displays via: DVI-I / HDMI / 2x MDP The Mac Pro has been in temporary use as a backup server for my dad's office while working on a server upgrade, and therefore Mac OS X 10.6 was installed. Now the Mac Pro is back and I reinstalled Mojave but it won't recognise my external display, other than via the single DVI-I port. We have no idea what caused the HDMI and MDP ports to stop working as they worked without problem before. Are there any known fixes for this problem? Thanks a lot in advance!! [link] [comments]  | ||

This service has worked in the last.. four versions of Mac, totally fine. For some reason, on this computer, I'm getting this error when I run it. I'm using High Sierra. | QuickTime fullscreen green tint Posted: 22 Sep 2019 01:07 PM PDT Hi ! Whenever I play a video in QuickTime player in fullscreen and I wait few seconds for the UI to disappear, the display colors turn slightly greenish. When paused the colors become normal again. It's not influenced by Night Shift, True Tone nor auto-brightness. I'm not the first one witch such a problem but I couldn't find any solution. Do you see it too ? I use MPB 2019 and it bugs me even more as the Touch Bar won't dim with any other video player. [link] [comments]  | ||
