- Finally! Now there’s a way to connect to different Bluetooth devices and Wifi networks from control center.

- Best Feature of iOS
- FYI you can quickly rearrange apps on the home screen with Haptic Touch by swiping away from the app icon instead of using the menu
- The best hidden iOS 13 Feature - at least for bi-lingual people - No Keyboard Switching anymore!
- Try closing a bunch of tabs in safari and this will happen
- You can set Live Wallpapers on the XR in iOS 13, but it’s hidden away for some reason.
- Can someone smarter than me explain why Night Mode can't be ported to previous iPhones while Google's Night Sight is on a myriad of devices?

- How do I rename a Bluetooth device that doesn’t give me the option to do so?

- Can someone please explain what is happening here? Just upgraded to iOS 13 and all my edited photos are opening as original.
- Can someone on iOS 13 check the download size for the app Dorland Medical Dictionary and comment it on this post.
You know what I hate? How everything is subscription-based nowadays. Posted: 21 Sep 2019 06:20 AM PDT This applies to a bunch of things like YouTube and Spotify where you have to pay just to get rid of those annoying ads (which is why I prefer to use Adblock), but on the App Store it's especially annoying. I get that the developers need to cover the bills somehow, but I wish they didn't have to milk our wallets dry. I have noticed this issue with a bunch of apps like video editors (Filmmaker Pro), piano lesson programs (Yousician), meditation tools (Calm), exercise assistants (SmartGym), cloud storage (Dropbox), social networking (Meetup), knock it the hell off! Whenever I see something on the App Store that interests me, I have to read through the entire page looking for red flags; if there's a premium subscription involved, I IMMEDIATELY run away and never look back. I don't care what the benefits are, because at the end of the day it's just making everything more expensive. Don't believe me? Look over all the premium subscription services you have and see how much money in total you have to spend every month for Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, etc. We have to pay enough bills as it is! Wouldn't you rather save that money for something special (a new gaming PC, that car you always wanted, etc.)? Why not just pay once to get rid of ads or unlock a new feature and let that be it (like it used to be)? Or better yet, why not just have a separate paid version of the app with everything unlocked right out the gate (without having to pay again later)? [link] [comments]
We should be able to choose a wallpaper for light mode and another for dark mode Posted: 21 Sep 2019 03:13 AM PDT Kinda said it all in the title, but I'd love if we could choose wallpapers for light and dark mode. I have a really bright wall paper and it makes me really happy but it blinds me at night so if I could have another darker one for when dark mode is on so I don't have to constantly change it that would be great. Fallen into an iOS 13 Reminders trap Posted: 21 Sep 2019 01:08 AM PDT Totally my fault because I wasn't paying attention so I thought I'd give people a bit of a heads up. If you use Reminders a lot on several devices and have upgraded to iOS 13 on your phone, most definitely click on Upgrade Later when opening the Reminders app for the first time. If you don't and go ahead upgrading your lists, you'll lose access to them on iPad and Mac until those device upgrades are released. I totally didn't do this and I'll be crying a little until Tuesday when iPadOS comes out. That important splash screen that pops up actually contains important information. https://www.imore.com/if-you-use-reminders-app-lot-read-updating-ios-13 [link] [comments]
WatchOS 6 is sooo underwhelming on Series 3 Posted: 21 Sep 2019 02:47 AM PDT Don't get me wrong. It's nice an all that Apple keeps updating older hardware, but aside from 'menstrual cycle tracking' we only got two new watch faces, and some boring ones at that. I would have wished for something more customizable and maybe some new complications. I would also have loved a new color scheme. [link] [comments]

You can set Live Wallpapers on the XR in iOS 13, but it’s hidden away for some reason. Posted: 21 Sep 2019 01:49 AM PDT One thing I missed most about my iPhone 7 were the Live Wallpapers, but had to give them up after updating to the XR. I figured Apple would reimplement them with subsequent Haptic Touch updates but up until iOS 13 we got nothing. Then I was bummed that even in iOS 13 I couldn't set a Live Wallpaper either, despite the 11 series being able to without 3D Touch. Went to Photos, a Live Photo and set wallpaper and was sad to see no Live Wallpaper option. But apparently you can! Apple just decided to hide it away for some stupid reason. The steps:
Why Apple made it like this I have no idea, but hopefully you guys with an XR enjoy the return of one of my favourite 3D Touch features! [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Sep 2019 11:43 PM PDT I'm rocking a Xr and one thing I was always jealous of from Android was how amazing Google's Night Sight was when I compared my pictures with my friends' Pixel or OnePlus phones during dimmer get togethers or events. I love my photos during the day, but really do wish the low light was better. So I was a little excited when Apple announced their own version that was just as good, only to immediately get the air sucked out of me when they announced it was exclusive to the 11 models. So what is it about Apple's Night Mode that prevents it from being on my Xr similar to how Google's Night Sight works perfectly fine across pretty much every company's more powerful phones from the last couple of years. From what I understand the A12 chip is still better than any processor currently on an Android, so it can't be because of raw power, right? I can understand the iPhone 6 or 7 not being fast enough, but surely the A11 and A12 chips from the last couple of years can do the calculations. And if it's all machine learning like Google, it makes it even more baffling. Is it just an artificial barrier to force an upgrade? I don't know, I'm just bummed and wanna understand what's keeping my phone from getting what looks like an excellent new feature. [link] [comments]

How do I rename a Bluetooth device that doesn’t give me the option to do so? Posted: 21 Sep 2019 05:53 AM PDT I have one of those plug ins for my car thay plugs in and acts as both a charger and a Bluetooth radio connector (so I'm able to play music from my phone through the speakers). When I connect it doesn't give the option to change the name- all I can do is disconnect and forget device. I did go on my computer and change the name of it but it didn't show up on my phone that way even after forgetting it and reconnecting. [link] [comments]

iPhone 11 Pro Max doesn't seem to have an option for Hdr on YouTube Posted: 21 Sep 2019 12:00 AM PDT I don't know if this is specific to me but videos that I used to be able to watch in HDR on YouTube no longer show up as HDR. Is anyone having a similar issue [link] [comments]
Anyone missing any Activity awards since the switch to iOS 13 / watchOS 6? Posted: 21 Sep 2019 04:32 AM PDT Pretty much as the title asks... I've filled the monthly 'silver' awards every month since September 2018, but September 2018 is the last one I now have on my Activity app - nothing since then. Same with some of the 'limited edition' awards - some are there, some are missing. Also, this month's 'silver' award that's still in progress seems to have disappeared, too. It was something like recording 15 minutes of exercise 23 times this month, and I was on 21. But that doesn't appear anymore. My 'gold' monthly awards are still there. So frustrating. I know after the switch to iOS12 some of them went missing, but eventually came back. Was just curious if anybody else is experiencing this and, if so, how did you fix it (if you did)? Posted: 21 Sep 2019 06:23 AM PDT Anyone having issues with notifications on 13 with watch os6? Like my phone will have the notifications but they aren't going to my watch like they have in the past...and yes they are set to appear on the watch too. All my settings are the same. I'm baffled. Maybe 13.1 will fix it? [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Sep 2019 08:43 AM PDT I want to know if the size is half the download size that is on iOS 12. Apple claimed that it would be 50% smaller. [link] [comments] |
