    Can’t make my main email my Apple ID because it’s an alias on some other account.

    I have a gmail account that I'd like to make my Apple ID login, but when I try to add it, it says its being used as an alias. The problem is I have no clue what other main account I linked it to (probably some random account I setup a long time ago and don't remember).

    When I try to log into the gmail alias on iCloud, it tells me the password is wrong, but attempting to recover it gives me a "no account found" error.

    So like: is there a way to forcefully remove an email from being an alias? I have full access to the gmail account from the email / Google side. I just cannot figure out how to unlink it without knowing the login to the main account.

    Edit: I'm dumb. Apparently this was fixed recently and I didn't bother trying before making this post. I was able to verify via security code through email and I'm all good now.

    Help?

    The only thing I'm concerned with is texting. When I type "bruh" (which I type A LOT) it autocorrects it to 'brug' and it pisses me off. Along with "the" changes to "thé". What the hell?!?? So a few minutes ago, I just decided to completely turn off autocorrect, but I usually like having it because I type so fast. But when I type with it on, I have to deal with these stupid things! Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there some setting I can change? Are they going to fix this? I would really appreciate some feedback!

    Safari 13 won't load

    I did the update to Safari 13 and it just won't launch. The icon bounces in the dock then stops, if I check activity monitor it starts for one second and then goes away.

    I'm on 10.14.6 on a 2014 Mac Mini.

    Any ideas? Any way to revert to Safari 12? (No time machine backup on this system)

    iTunes Music Syncing issues with my iPhone 6s. Can't find the songs on my iPhone and all it shows is this circle thing greyed out. Any way to fix this?

    It's really the only thing I dont like about this update because it takes away the magnifying glass from touching and holding on text. Can I get the magnifying glass back or is there a way to just have 3D touch or is that completely removed from the software?

    Language In Mail App changed to Chinese and I can’t Change it back. Even in my settings, the only language selected is English and I’ve tried resetting my phone multiple times. The emails themselves are fine but I can’t tell which inbox I’m checking.

    My wife and I both have iPhones and on my phone it shows that I'm reachable at both my number AND hers (As well as my email addresses). On her phone, it shows that she's reachable only by email (No phone numbers listed). When I attempt to delete her number on my phone it says I can't deregister it because it's used for FaceTime. (When I go to FaceTime settings, her number is listed there, but not checked).

    Family Sharing but using my own debit card?

    So I have a friend who pays for his family sharing, and added me to it so I could get music. When I would purchase things through apps, it would get charged to his card that he had connected for the family sharing. He is the "organizer". I felt bad about that, so I added my own debit card on my own phone, under the "wallets and Apple Pay" section. I just want to know, will the other people that are a part of the family sharing (aka his download happy 5 year old niece) be able to use my card? I obviously don't want that lol. I just want to be able to buy my own stuff while still being a part of his "family" for music. Am I in the clear?

    I am a authorized user on my dad's Verizon account.. my phone is due for an upgrade.. now my question is does my dad have to be present when I go into the Apple store for the upgrade because he's the primary account holder? Or since I am an authorized user on the account can I just go in by myself?

    I got a new iPhone XR two days ago, and the lens cover just fell off - I was using the flashlight function, and I saw something drop on the carpet (luckily). Anyone else had this issue? Assuming it's covered under warranty, I've barely used the thing!

    How to get best out of it

    So I have a question regarding to how to maximize/get the best out of battery life for iPhone 11 Pro Max. So to my understanding, if I lightly use my phone throughout the day and I only used 24% of the battery once I'm in bed, should I charge it over night or do I wait until the battery reach 20%? What is the best way to get the best out of battery life?

    Sold phone, getting Apple ID 2-factor auth SMS messages

    So, I bought a new iPhone 11.

    I factory reset my old iPhone 6s (Erase All Content and Settings), and confirmed it showed the normal "set up new iphone" screen when turned on. A new sim card was provided with the iPhone 11, and the old sim card was left in the old phone (which was no longer working/disabled).

    I sold the phone to a guy (a mexican, it matters...), and then a few hours later my wife's new phone gets a 2-factor auth SMS for her Apple ID, in spanish "El codigo de verificacion de tu Apple ID es: 555555"

    So, I contacted the guy I sold it to, and he says that he was able to remove the old sim card, install his new one, and set up the iPhone fine. Calls work, etc.

    "Yea I'm sorry that this is happening I was trying to down load google and download Facebook, messenger in the new phone and it kept asking for the password I put mine but it won't accept it and then it told me that this number has recently changed it told me if I wanted to change the number so I put yes and I tried to put mine but then it showed a number that starts with 555 (OP: my area code) and it told me that I had to put in a code that apparently sent to the number then I tried to leave it be"

    I'm honestly not sure how this happened - again, I confirmed that I had reset the iphone so I don't understand what happened.

    When is iPad OS coming out? (iPad Air 2)

    Just curious since iOS 13 is available on the iPhones but iPad OS doesn't show in the iPad Air 2 which Apple.com shows it will come to the iPad Air 2.

    IOS 13 update help!

    So I just updated to iOS 13 and my phone has been stuck in a boot loop for about 3 hours now. It finished the update and before I could even swipe up to open my phone, the screen went blank and the little spinning gear appeared. The screen then came back on to the lock screen, and then it went off again to the same spinning gear. It's done this constantly for about 3 hours. To be a bit more specific, it's doing the same thing as it would do if your phone crashes. I've read about pressing the lock, volume up and down buttons at the same time and that did stop it for a second and I was able to type in my passcode to get to the update welcome screen, but no sooner or later it went off again to the same screen. I tried letting it die so I could restart it and boot it up again but it didn't work and it's still doing it. I've contacted Apple and all they're going to do is call me tomorrow at 10AM and tell me to go to an Apple store to be seen by an Apple genius. Any help??? My phone is an iPhone X if that's any help

    After restoring an iCloud backup some of my photos are in the wrong order

    I got an iPhone 8 on iOS 13. After restoring the backup I have about 30 or so pictures from the past few years all right in the front of the gallery where pictures taken today would go. Not only that but the photo app crashes constantly if I scroll too fast. The last part might just be an iOS 13 glitch but what about some of my pictures not being in chronological order?

    Separating the content between iPod Touch and iPhone

    I currently have an iPhone XR and an iPod Touch (6th generation).

    I know, I'm gonna get a lot of comments asking "why don't you just put all the music on your iPhone?" Well, I have a shit ton of music so I don't wanna fuck up my iPhone's storage, but also I always lose the little headphone extender that goes into the charging port, and I don't like Bluetooth headphones, so it's always worked out just to have 2 separate devices for the different purposes.

    Now, I'm having an issue with my iPod Touch. I believe I got it during the summer of 2016. Since then, the performance and battery life have both deteriorated and the screen has some cracks. So I'm looking to get a new one.

    The 2 devices are under one Apple ID. I'm afraid to sync my iPod Touch to my laptop because I already have all my info from my iPhone in it. I want my photos, apps, etc to be separate. I'm afraid they're just going to fuse together (which wouldn't work I guess anyway since my iPhone has 64GB and my iPod has 32GB). Is there any way to assure they stay separate?

    Another additional question: which would be the best option? An iPod 6 or 7? I've heard mixed reviews. I'm wondering if an iPod 7 would be better, but I've heard it has a poor battery life, which is one of my main issues here.

    Public beta and iOS 13

    So I'm on public beta and a friend of mine sent me a screenshot like 15 mins ago showing iOS 13 is out now. I go to check mine and mine says up to date. Do I need to delete the beta profile so I can get 13?

    When I download stuff

    When I Download items on my iPhone 7 from mediafire or any other place it loads for a minute then turns into like java script or something weird (i have pictures) and recently I replaced my phone with another iPhone 7(this is where the problem occurs) and now I can't download stuff to my files unlike my old phone could and as I recall I think I might have been able to get it work when I first got this phone about 3 weeks ago but I'm not sure can anybody solve this, also the other phone was only on update like 12.2 I think of 12.2.3 maybe and this new phone is at the latest version of iOS 12

    Mac extremely slow after crash, bottom dock missing

    Hello everyone,

    Hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I've been having with my MacBook. Last night, while using Chrome my Mac crashed and did a complete restart. Upon resetting , my computer was incredibly slow, and my bottom dock won't load. Basically clicking any program will cause the Mac to freeze for a bit, and then show the beach ball loading symbol for 2-3 minutes until it finally loads. Booting into safe mode doesn't change anything. My wallpaper will also change to black every so often for a moment and then revert back.

    I checked the disc, but nothing came up in the scan. My logs are flooded with various messages, which I can attempt to copy if the Mac will allow me to. I think a program is trying to load, crashes, and is stuck in a loop.

    System info: MacBook Pro 13in (mid 2012) Mojave 10.14.3

    I can get logs as needed, however I'm not sure which are most relevant, so just let me know what is needed. Thanks everyone.

    Trouble rearranging apps iOS 13

    Can't seem to rearrange the order of my apps without great difficulty. This is what happens when I let go of it to drop it, and this happens when I hit the home button.

    Is this a glitch? Or am I not doing it right?
