[Discussion] 12.1.3 and lower versions vulnerable, community patch or upgrade steps Posted: 30 Aug 2019 09:32 AM PDT Reading this article: https://www.technologyreview.com/s/614243/websites-have-been-quietly-hacking-iphones-for-years-says-google/ we can see that devices using firmware lower than 12.1.4 are vulnerable to this. I haven't found a post discussing this and was curious about thoughts to upgrade from 12.1.2 or patch this. [link] [comments]

[News] Nepeta tweets she will “try” to remake InfiniDock. Posted: 30 Aug 2019 04:37 PM PDT InfiniDock was my favorite tweak back in the day. For newbees, it's drag and drop on dock with apps with NO LIMITS and infinitely scrolled both directions. Maybe her version (note she says remake) will be even cooler? I hope she goes through with it. [link] [comments]
[Discussion] Carbon vs Dune. What happened? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 05:26 AM PDT Hello, r/Jailbreak. You've probably all now seen Skittyblock's tweets claiming Carbon stole code from Dune. We do not tolerate stolen code and we take these claims seriously. Skittyblock has claimed that two of the thirty-four hooks within Carbon have been stolen from Dune. This is false and here's why: SBFloatingDockPlatterView SBFloatingDockPlatterView in the initial release of Carbon consisted of 7 lines of code, saving the original dock style and switching between that and 2030 when Carbon was toggled. Skittyblock notes that 2030 is the same number used in Dune. 2030 is a number chosen by Apple used to reference one of the prebuilt dark styles included in iOS, it is the same style used by the dark keyboard and the Safari Private Browsing navbar. The iPhoneDevWiki lists all of the styles included by Apple in iOS, as seen here: http://iphonedevwiki.net/index.php/UIBackdropView. NCNotificationViewController NCNotificationViewController, on the other hand, was a hook we implemented to tackle the notification groupings. It consisted of looping through all subviews in the notification groups and modifying the MTMaterialViews of each stacked notification which is a similar concept we used for three other hooks. This method, while works, was inefficient and we had noted them all as a REDO and we were in the process of redoing it for our 1.3 update. Unfortunately, it seems Skittyblock had the same idea and that is why the code appears to be similar. Given the core nature of both tweaks are the same it is almost inevitable that some areas use the same techniques. Open Source? We had always intended to open source Carbon but when we heard that Skittyblock had expressed concern with those two hooks we fast-tracked our plans to open source to put any idea that code had been stolen to rest. However, by that point, we had already redone the platters hook hence why it is no longer found in the Carbon source. Moving Forward. We intend to continue working on Carbon and we hope that we've shed some light on our side of the story here. We know that a lot of you have already made up your minds so if you wish to receive a refund we will accept it within 24 hours of receiving the request. OxideLabs. [link] [comments]
[Tutorial]How to make iPhone/iPad/TV/iPod/HomePod OS more secure. ANY VERSION!!!! Posted: 30 Aug 2019 07:14 PM PDT We all know that changing your root's password, helps your device to be more secure againts hackers on public networks. What they haven't told you is how to change the other users passwords. This passwords are only for internal use by apple and wireless carriers. These users are hidden as follow: nobody. root. mobile. daemon. ftp. networkd. wireless. installd. neagent. ifccd. securityd. mdnsresponder. sshd. unknown. disnote. astris. ondemand. findmydevice. datadetectors. captiveagent. analyticsd. timed. gpsd. reportmemoryexception. FIRST most important step: Locate the files master.passwd & passwd, then change every /usr.bin.false to /usr.bin.sh On the following steps below, change the root user for any above listed. (USE DIFFERENT PASSWORDS FOR EACH USER. IF YOU CANT REMEMBER THEM, WRITE YOUR PASSWORDS DOWN.)
Now your iPhone's users passwords are different than default. Do this everytime you perform a clean restore to avoid any hacking into your phone outside of your jurisdiction. The passwords will be encrypted within the same file. [link] [comments]

[HELP] How Do I Turn Off Shutter Sound on iPhone Korean Version Posted: 30 Aug 2019 09:41 PM PDT Just to know that the Government doesn't allowing to take photos and screenshots silently. So the iPhone Korean version (also Japan version AFAIK) can't turn off the shutter sound even silent button on, and volume set to 0. Only live photo mode can change shutter sound with record sound. Slightly better 😁 So, can I set to another model number? Or something changes so I can use another region setting that allowing fully silent mode. Or maybe any others solutions? My main phone ready to jailbreak. The other one was already jailbroken. Thank you. [link] [comments]

[Discussion] Jailbreak detection levels nowadays Posted: 30 Aug 2019 12:04 PM PDT I was just wondering, some apps have a low jailbreak detection that can be bypassed with tweaks like Liberty, Unsub, Shadow, etc Others won't work with those tweaks, but restoring to origin-fs using SnapBack will work. Others won't. You need to restore to root-fs (100% unjailbreak) and then all apps I know they use jb detection will work (see Animal Crossing, Pokemon Go and Master, Fortnite..) And then there is Teppen; how the fuck can an app detect jb after restoring to root? [link] [comments]
[Question] Duplicate AppStore apps Posted: 30 Aug 2019 10:58 PM PDT Is there a JB tweak that facilitates having more than one instance of an app? [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Aug 2019 07:37 PM PDT I know this was a tweak during the iPhone 6 days. Whatever happened to that? Is this still a tweak to download or could someone make this happen again? [link] [comments] |
