Anyway I bought music from the Itunes store and it doesn't appear in my library. It appears in the purchases tab of the store, but nothing in my library. | moving itunes library from an external back to macbook pro Posted: 30 Aug 2019 06:36 PM PDT hi, so i purchased a new (used 2015 - still the best) macbook pro, which has a bigger internal hard drive. previously, i had my itunes library on an external flash drive, but now i want to relocate it back to my macbook pro's internal drive now that i have the room. i use serato, which draws from my itunes library, as a professional dj. so i don't want to mess this up. what's the easiest way to do this? thanks! | [HELP] Trying to create a bootcamp for two days now with 0 success Posted: 30 Aug 2019 09:49 PM PDT I have iMac late 2009 with High Sierra 10.13.6 The image file I have is for Windows 8 downloaded from microsoft. Anyone an expert here with creating bootcamps? I'm at the part where it's asking for a windows installer disc. I'm trying to burn the ISO to DVD but everytime I burn one, it goes straight to garbage because it keeps saying "medium write error". I tried burning at 2x up to max speed. All the same result... straight to garbage. I tried "mounting" the ISO to desktop to "fool" OSX thinking it's an optical drive but it's still says "installer disc could not be found" I even created a bootable USB drive by using Windows DVD/USB tool but that is also not being recognized. Not sure what to do anymore. I've had bootcamp before in this machine. Not sure why I can't create another one again. [link] [comments]  |

I had this issue and resolved it for a time by reconnecting my account back on the Gmail app but the issue is back again. Any idea why this is happening or how I can solve this? Thank you. | Is there any way to get older version of apps? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 05:36 PM PDT So I just factory reset an old iPad mini (1st gen), and I want it plainly to use apps like Adobe Illustrator Draw, Procreate, or any similar app. But when I try to download them, it says the application is not compatible with my device. Is there any way to get older versions that are compatible, or even how to sort the app store to see which apps are compatible and which ones are not? | Cannot download iMovie on Mac book pro w/ Sierra Posted: 30 Aug 2019 09:11 PM PDT I never needed iMovie until now (it has never been on my MacBook) and I cannot download it within the App Store. The App Store says "iMovie can't be installed on "Macintosh HD" because macOS version 10.13.6 or later is required" when I try to download it. I have no problem downloading Garage Band through App Store... Apples support page https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1574?locale=en_US only lets my download updates to iMovie 9, for example iMovie 9.0.9, and when I do it tells me I need iMovie 9.0.0 to run these updates. I've been told I could possible need iLife '11 but I'm not sure if this will work and I'd rather not spend the $22 to get a copy off eBay if I can avoid it. Is there a way I can get iMovie on my machine? I'm okay with it being an older version. Maybe I can download iMovie 7 or something then update to 9.0.9 with that support page link?? Thank you! Is there a place that sells HiDPI + IPS LCD panels for my model? I understand LCD from the later Retina models is not compatible (neither hinges nor display connector.) Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:08 PM PDT For example, if my keyboard & dictation is set to English (UK) but I have a Canadian Accent, would it have difficulty understanding me or my accent doesn't matter as long as it's in the same language (even though it's a different type of English)? Ever since I got my iPhone 7+, I enjoyed it, and I still do. The camera was great. However up until a year ago (somewhere around October), my camera just stopped working. I would launch the camera app and it would just be black. The front facing camera works fine. I would DFU restore it and stuff. Still no luck. Its been like this since October of 2018 and currently I am on iOS 13.1. So is my camera dead? My last resort is to take it to the Apple store but if there is a solution that doesn't involve going that would be great. [link] [comments]  |
| How to use an Input Microphone through my Macbook Pro's Headphone Input? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 03:50 PM PDT I have a microphone with an input connection, not USB. So I thought it would be the same if I just plug it in through the Headphone's input, since my MacBook Pro does NOT have a Microphone input. Turns out it doesn't work that way because my microphone's input doesn't have three rings. So I bought a splitter cable (which has three rings) so that the Mac realizes that a microphone is available, so I plug the splitter cable in the microphone input, connect my microphone in the splitter cable's input and... my Mac still does not recognize my microphone, but it does recognize that something (the splitter cable) is in the headphone input. So let's say I connect my headphones and my microphone into my splitter cable, and THEN I connect my splitter cable into my Mac's Headphone Input, it still doesn't recognize my microphone but it does recognize my headphones. Any ideas on how to make it recognize my microphone? [link] [comments]  |

| Why isn’t locations updating? * please help * Posted: 30 Aug 2019 07:25 PM PDT So I have my little brothers location shared to my iPhone 6s on messages and he has a history of leaving and not telling us where he is and going missing for nights so it's important to me that this gets fixed.. anyways I've had it on since December and it's always worked perfectly fine and gave me his exact location but recently it hasn't been working. it'll say he's in a whole different place when he's home right beside me?? Thing is I can't ask him to turn it off and back on or anything because he does not know he's sharing it with me. It's been like this for a few days now and I've recently updated my phone to the new iOS because I haven't in like a very long time and I thought maybe that was why but nope. Same problem. I also only have a decent knowledge of iOS, I study computer science and primarily use Windows so bear with me My girlfriend is in the process of switching from a Macbook to a new Windows laptop. She's a photographer and has about 8,000 photos saved on her Macbook and she wants to start keeping her photos saved on external drives. She wanted to put only the photos onto her external drive but her computer is way too slow as it is a 2012-2013 laptop that has been through a lot and wouldn't transfer the 8,000 photos. So I formatted the hard drive and backed up her laptop using Time Machine, downloaded HFS Explorer on her new laptop to read the files, and everything is there; her documents, photos from her desktop, etc, but none of her 8,000 photos from her photo app are there. Are these recoverable? I feel bad because I insisted that this would be entirely safe and she wouldn't lose her photos. Is it just because Windows can't read the file that contains the photos? Unfortunately she needed to sell the laptop for in store credit to purchase her new one, but should I borrow another Macbook from someone to recover these files on there? [link] [comments]  |
| Was using boot camp and it's partition won't let me delete it. Posted: 30 Aug 2019 06:26 PM PDT So I was able to use boot camp assistant to create a boot camp partition. I actually did it a few times because I was having issues, I used the assistant to delete the partition just yesterday, then today I made another partition and am now trying to get rid of it, this is what I see in disk utility: "You cannot remove this volume because the previous volume can not be resized." I am not sure what happened between then and now that could have caused this. I ran the terminal code "diskutil list" And "diskutil cs list" Any help would be greatly appreciated. I shut down and restarted thinking that would clear things but nope. According to the tracker, I have not moved nor exercised for the last two days. | Posted: 30 Aug 2019 03:52 PM PDT Not sure if this is against the Sub rules- but it's pertaining to my own Apple ID. I created my AppleID nearly 10 years ago when I picked up my first Macbook Pro. At the time, I was using a disposable cell phone on a pre-paid sim card. When prompted to enter my phone number at the time, I put in the pre-paid number I had. I've since picked up the iPhones, all the way from 4 to currently using the SE and have had my current number since 2011. This brings me to last week, when suddenly I was prompted to re-enter my AppleID password. Upon doing so, I found out that my account had for some reason been "locked" and I was asked for a wholly unfamiliar phone number (based off the last two digits). I don't have any records of a phone number ending in those numbers, nor have my parents. Which leads me to believe that it might have been the disposable number. I'm really at my wits end here. I called Apple Support about what options I had, offering any other information I had available, but alas they told me that the recovery number itself was what it needed. So I've come here looking for any last recourse in unlocking my Apple ID. Nearly a decade worth of shit stored on it which is hugely valuable to me and it would be a damn shame to lose it all over some stupid phone number. Thanks for any help. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 30 Aug 2019 03:08 PM PDT My music is not and has never been in the iTunes Folder, it's always been on a HDD I've had for years. In there I have all the CD imports and digital music and absolutely everything and has been like that for the last 15 years. Back in the day I used to spend my afternoons burning and ripping my/friend's/family's CDs and whatnot and have a pretty extensive library. I wouldn't like to lose all those years of ripping and renaming entire discographies. Because of the Library Situation I kept this computer exclusively for managing my music and my iPod (yes, my 180Gb iPod that to this day is still alive and kicking), unfortunately the computer became an old and slow piece of trash a long time ago and it's about time to get rid of it. I can export a variety of .xml files via the Library > Export menu, but none of them work like I'd want them to, and before trying to import the huge amount of files I'd like to know if there's a faster or automated method.
