Notifications not going to other users on shared calendar. Posted: 07 Jul 2019 01:13 AM PDT We use a shared set of calendars to manage our workloads for our business. I manage them primarily using macOS and my iPhone. My wife sees the shared items for her calendar fine, but the notification settings are not going to her. Example: All day booking, reminder set for 09:00 that day of the booking. Day arrives, I get the reminder on my machines, but she does not. It's on "her" calendar. I've checked both her iPad and iPhone and they both have notifications set for the calendar. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
anyway to temporarily disable the trackpad on a macbook? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 09:08 PM PDT I'm looking for a way to temporarily disable the trackpad on my macbook that I could preferably keybind so I can easily disable it and enable it. I tend to accidently hit my trackpad when playing games so I'd just like to disable it while I'm doing something where I don't need to use it. [link] [comments]
Connecting multiple external HDDs to a 2015 iMac Posted: 06 Jul 2019 05:55 PM PDT I have two Glyph 1TB external HDDs connected to my Oct 2015 iMac, 27" 5K display, Fusion HDD, OS 10.14.5 1 has a single partition and is devoted to TM backups The other has two partitions: one partition devoted to a daily clonings of my iMac and the other partition devoted to a monthly clone of my MB Pro. The two are connected to one another by a Glyph FW cable and to my iMac via a FW-Thunderbolt adapter Lately, I have noted that from time to time, I will noe that the icons of these Glyphs are not appearing on my desktop. When I launch Disk Utility, sometimes I find them and can hit Mount and they do so. Sometimes DU will not find them requiring that I either turn then off/on or reboot. I thought that perhaps something might be flaky with the cable connecting them to my iMac and so I shut them down and swapped out that FW cable for a USB cable. Now, the only Glyph that will appear on my desktop is whichever drive to which the USB cable is attached. Will the FW pigtail connecting the two drives together not work in association with the USB cable now connecting them to my iMac? Many thanks for any insights, 1 has a single partition and is devoted to TM backups The other has two partitions: one partition devoted to a daily clonings of my iMac and the other partition devoted to a monthly clone of my MB Pro. Posted: 06 Jul 2019 01:41 PM PDT I have been having the worst issues with Safari on some sites. What happens is it makes the mouse movement and scrolling the page stutter and lag really bad. This only happens when using Safari & only on specific sites. It seems to be any sites that play video. Could it be Safari not handling the site code right? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jul 2019 01:04 PM PDT What's the best way to migrate from one macbook to another? It's the first time I've done it and I'm afraid the migration assistant will take many hours. [link] [comments]

After Effects Mojave performance Posted: 06 Jul 2019 03:21 AM PDT Hi guys, Wanted to ask if anyone tried After Effects with Mojave and can compare performance with high sierra on an older macbook pro (2014). I'm wondering if the lack of Nvidia drivers for Mojave impacts After Effects (or other similar software) performance. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

How the hell do you disable mouse acceleration??????? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 04:33 AM PDT Why is this is not an option? I can't figure it out for the life of me. Using the terminal command sets it to a specific speed I am not happy with, when I adjust said speed it goes away. How do I disable this thing? edit: There is even scrolling acceleration? Are you fucking kidding me? [link] [comments]
