| [HELP] HDMI CEC and Apple TV and ps4 Posted: 07 Jul 2019 12:11 AM PDT Hello all I recently bought myself a Philips Ambilight. Their CEC tech is called EasyLink. The problem is: When I turn on the TV, it turns both my PS4 and my Apple TV on. When I turn the TV off, it turns them on if they're off. And as a consequence, if I turn the Apple TV on to turn on the TV, it also does the ps4. Complete mess atm. Any idea? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 07 Jul 2019 02:04 AM PDT I am searching for some sort of App in iOS or macOS that let my select some internet radio stream and let it play directly to the Apple TV... Is there a way to start playing an Internet Radio station without having to fire up the TV and navigating through apps and menus or having to constantly stream with AirPlay? Thank you guys! I've set the ATV remote to control volume on the Onkyo receiver. I am running iOS13 beta on AppleTV 4, and until now, every time I changed volume on the receiver using ATV remote, it would wake up ATV if it was in sleep mode. Now it remains in sleep mode until you wake it up using other button(s), as it should. I hope this is by design, and not some bug. [link] [comments]  |
| Using a Apple HomePod as a speaker Posted: 06 Jul 2019 07:27 PM PDT For those who use an Apple HomePod as a speaker for your Apple TV, do you just use the HomePod as the only speaker for the tv or do you use the tv speaker as well. I've tried using both methods. But when the tv volume is on as well it sounds like there is a little bit of an echo. Just wondering what others do. Do you have no volume on tv or do you have the tv volume as well? If you use both would you ave the volume of the HomePod higher than the Tv or have the tv higher volume? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 06 Jul 2019 10:37 PM PDT Hello all, just got an Apple TV 4K, to go with an Atmos Soundbar ( LG SK10Y). On ATMOS titles, all is actually good, and Atmos is being playing without issue. The issue on on 5.1 titles, they are always played as PCM ( and so in Stereo). Only way to get Dolby Digital, is to disable Auto and select Dolby Digital. In that case, on 5.1 titles it will play dolby, and on non 5.1 it will play PCM sound as expected. Any idea why it would play on auto Atmos, but not dolby 5.1 ? [link] [comments]  |

Within the TV app on Apple TV, is it somehow possible to 'fuse' multiple accounts from different countries so that the shows that I am watching on HBO and the shows that I'm watching on CBC or BBC will all appear in the same place? | Posted: 06 Jul 2019 05:11 PM PDT With cord cutting becoming a much more likely option for our household, I'd like to make the move to AppleTV soon. Ever since our Samsung Smart TV started displaying ads I've wanted to make this move much sooner. I have a couple questions before I make the jump if anyone cares to help. Do you expect a newer version of AppleTV to be released around October like the new iPhones? In the past, have these newer versions had major improvements over past generations? My physical remote often doesn't click to do the scroll-and-find-your-scene thing (I don't know what to call it). Apple TV 4th gen.
