How to replace my iPhone through AppleCare. Posted: 06 Jul 2019 10:38 PM PDT My iPhone is in great condition but my AppleCare expires in a month. What can I do to exchange my phone for a new one for $99? I know it can't be completely damaged (like running my car over it) so what are my options? [link] [comments]
Does anyone think that Apple might be falling from its position in the tech world? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 06:28 PM PDT I know the history of Apple, how it used to be so much more intuitive and consumer-oriented than the other tech moguls of the time. I know that Apple marketed their tech in a way that made them very appealing to ordinary folks. That made them unique, once upon a time. My question now is, are they so unique anymore? And are they as good as they used to be? In the past year, I've seen reports and reviews and tear-downs and all kinds of things that show me that Apple isn't standing as high as it used to. Their technology is no longer as cutting-edge as it used to be. A lot of other companies have caught up to them or surpassed them. Things like iCloud have been matched with things like Google Drive. Their smartphones not only aren't revolutionary anymore, they're not even the best models on the market. And lately there has been a lot of negative press around Apple. They've been making decisions, both in tech and in management, that haven't been earning them the most flattering spotlight. I'd like to point out now that I do not in any way dislike Apple. Every piece of tech I own that isn't a game console is an Apple product. I love Apple and everything they've created. From my perspective, though, it seems like their big hold on the technology world is, at the very least, weakening. I just fear that they might fall from grace and become something less than the excellent company I grew up with. I haven't been around since their beginning, and I don't know if they've had bad spots before now. I'm perfectly open to having my position changed on this. I just want to ask someone who can tell me better than anyone. So I'm here asking you all. [link] [comments]
