Will be starting up my graduate school program this august.. would like to continue using my MBAir until I 100% need to buy a new computer, as I just bought a 2018 12 inch iPad Pro for note taking and typing word-documents if needed. My specs are:
Updated my computer to Mojave tonight, it's seeming a bit slow (boot up, and opening applications). Any suggestions how to go about improving performance? | Screen Sharing (Version 1.7.2) between Two of my own macs Posted: 16 Jul 2019 09:34 PM PDT I'm wondering if there's a way for me to use the Screen Sharing tool bundled with macOS to share screens (and control the device I connect to) without requiring me to "allow" the screen share on the other machine (Ex. click on the "allow" button on the remote device). - Both devices are logged in with the my AppleID - Both devices have "Screen Sharing" enabled in System Preferences -> Sharing - Both devices are current generation Macs I'm not super familiar with the Screen Sharing tool, but I do have a basic idea of how it works, having used it to tutor some friends who recently got new Macs to replace their older computers. | Filter or search tags - not search files by tag but search the tags themselves. Posted: 16 Jul 2019 05:06 PM PDT I have hundreds of tags - I can see no way to filter them in the "All Tags" window. I simply have to scroll through them alphabetically but it's getting a little ridiculous. I downloaded a third party app and it seemed like what I needed (Ammonite) and it does a good job of filtering the tags, and it reveals the files tagged accordingly when the tag is selected - but then I can do nothing with those files - I can't select and move them (this is what i want to do in the big picture). | iTunes changing order in playlists Posted: 16 Jul 2019 08:06 PM PDT I'm making a pretty large playlist for a party and in the process of changing the order of the songs to make it flow nicely. Nearly every time I change 2 or 3 songs, I go to grab the next song i want near the top and the entire playlist goes back to the original order it was in. It seemed to be synchronizing with my other iTunes libraries but it still did it at least once when I turned my wifi off. Any help with this issue would be much appreciated as I've just wasted an hour changing the order of 5 songs [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 16 Jul 2019 01:12 PM PDT I don't have many files so it's not a huge issue (already have it backed up) but would creating a guest account allow apple to run their tests and diagnostics after replacing the battery without having to delete my main account and all it's settings, apps, files, etc? | Can't download High Sierra under Mojave Posted: 16 Jul 2019 02:03 PM PDT I'm getting the error message "Update not found - The requested version of macOS is not available" when attempting to download High Sierra through the Mac App Store. I did it successfully a few months ago. I'm on a Mac Mini running the latest Mojave (10.14.5) and have checked that "Install macOS Mojave.app" and "Install macOS High Sierra.app" are not in my Applications folder. Halp.
