Auto Chess genre is heating up on mobile, what’s your favorite Auto Chess game currently and why?

Auto Chess has become my favorite genre and there are at least 4 very solid games with more coming out on mobile. The most well known DOTA Underlords and AutoChess: Origins are both good, however the cartoon graphic style isn't my personal preference. Underlords which has some advantages over other games, has the least interesting units in terms of how they visually evolve and change when upgrading.

    My top 2:

    1. Chess Rush (my favorite in spite of Tencent)
    2. zooming. Not sure why this isn't standard for the genre, Makes the combat more interesting to watch.
    3. nice graphics and style, more gritty then most
    4. visual changes to units when they upgrade
    5. turbo mode (faster games) 20 minute matches seems like the sweet spot for me.

2 Arena of Evolution: Red Tides - customization, seems to have the most variety for custom boards, gates, commanders - my favorite graphic style for units and commanders. Has the most gritty or dark theme of the genre - Very distinct visual change to the units when upgrading - Blitz mode (faster games) - Duo mode

List of top mobile games for this sub?

    Posted: 05 Jul 2019 07:31 AM PDT

I was over at /r/patientgamers and noticed they have a spreadsheet of "Essential" games. I believe they gave everyone in the sub surveys and put together the list based off of that.

Is there anything like that for IOS gaming? Is that something that would interest anybody?

Deciding to go "all in" on mobile gaming

    Posted: 04 Jul 2019 07:31 PM PDT

I recently sold my last console, as I have two children and not a lot of extended time to play. my iPhone XS is going to be my means of gaming from here on out. Any suggestions on really great games, or good console ports? I just pre ordered Dead cells since I loved it on console.

Switching entirely to iPad Pro 12.9 and need games

    Posted: 05 Jul 2019 06:45 AM PDT

My steam library on my macbook I'm trading in is: Cities:Skylines, Factorio, Tropico, Prison Architect, Civilization VI, and RCT Classic. I'm looking for some game recommendations as I will be unable to play these games now (mostly C:S where I've logged over 700 hours of play).

I'm looking for an mmo that's of high quality, has decent combat, and has deep character customization. Any help would be appreciated.

My homemade, portable, iPhone XR setup. I used an Xbox one controller, BlackWeb wireless charger connected to a BlackWeb battery bank and a cut up phone case to hold it on. The rest is held together with tons of hot glue.

Has anyone with the iOS 13 controller support tried this yet?

    Posted: 04 Jul 2019 10:56 PM PDT

I'm excited about the new controller support because I play a lot of story driven games while my wife watches. I was hoping to be able to connect my iPhone X to a AV to Lightning adapter and hook the iPhone to my tv. Then use a ps4 controller to play games with. My only concern is input lag. Has anyone tried this? If so how is the lag?

Edit: I meant to say PS4 controller.

I wasn’t going to make a sales list for July 4th, but then I realized there’s a ton of games on sale. So here ya go! I think I got all the noteworthy ones, but I’ll add any stragglers I find.

    Assassin's Creed Rebellion - opinions?

    Posted: 05 Jul 2019 09:27 AM PDT

I am not a fan of Assassin's Creed on PS4, but I downloaded this game the other day and I must say I am really enjoying it. I like the way you can use different heroes to perform different missions, according to their strengths and weaknesses.

Has this game received much attention over the past few years, or has it flown under the radar?

    Looking for games to buy

    Posted: 04 Jul 2019 07:05 PM PDT

I recently got 30 dollars on the App Store for my birthday, and am now looking for some great games to buy.

One of my favorite games I've played has been Game Dev Tycoon, which I've played multiple times and is probably my all time favorite game on the AppStore. I also like city/base building games that offer a large degree of customizability, and RPGs. Specifically turn based RPGS because I feel like they work better on phone than action rpgs.

I know that my description of my likes isn't the best but hopefully you guys can help me find a good game

    Posted: 05 Jul 2019 04:22 AM PDT

How do you guys liking the game so far? I haven't seen anything so beautiful on App Store for a long ass time. The graphics, the physics. The content. And I love that F2P players can compete with wallet whales, cause its rather pay2progress than pay2win. What are you thoughts?

P.s. I think theyre doing horrible work on marketing, cause the game deserves way more disocvery.

Looking for a game: It had pixel art and was a party-based, side-scrolling RPG. I didn’t play it so I can’t speak to gameplay. But it seemed that the party auto-ran to the right and you managed their actions on the bottom half of the screen. I think it was highly rated.
