    Started having rapid kernel panics. Switched out hatssd for older one and problem went away. I emailed hatssd and they wrote back that a recent osx Mojave update was causing problems like mine and are sending me an fixed model free! Great folks!

    MBA 17 won’t boot up. Sound works and charges fine. All I get is the backlight. Any suggestions and or info would be appreciated.

    I had to take off the bottom of my laptop to rest SSD issues I got it working but I Spilled the screws and I don't know where the long screws go and I can't find it on internet unless I watch a two hour video literally! Which holes do the two long screws go into?

    Thank you as I sit in frustration and terror. Laptop works so far.

    Iv had my MacBook for a year, it used to be very sharp to boot up, recently its started to become slow, it also makes a clicking noise when I rotate it. I didn't have much on my MacBook and nothing on my start up. I decided to reset my MacBook and only it has made it far worse, now when I press the power button, I have to wait 5 seconds then I says to enter my password, I enter my password then it shows the loading bar. I'm very confused. Thanks

    Replaced SSD in 15" MBP Retina + Battery recall?

    Title says it all. I swapped the SSD in my 2015 15" Retina MacBook Pro for an M.2 NVMe + adapter but plan to take my laptop to the Apple Store to have the battery replaced.

    I can't find the original SSD though -- I suspect it is in my college apartment (am away for the summer.) Should I definitely have the original SSD placed back before taking it to the Apple Store, or should I be fine despite having an aftermarket SSD?

    A couple of keys are functioning poorly, namely 'f', 'n', 't' and arrow up, not that I care since I get a new keyboard, but does anyone know what exactly has to be replaced as well since the whole thing is soldered/glued?

    MacBook Pro upgrade doubts

    Hi everyone! I am going to upgrade my current MacBook Pro 13 2015 to Pro 15 2019. I'm a developer, and my current MacBook sometimes is not fast enough(docker starts painfully long, jetbrains products stop EVERYTHING). 6 cores, 16 RAM and bigger screen are selling points for me. But I really dread about keyboards(in my country there are no Apple Stores, just authorized resellers, so repair may take a few weeks). I just put up this idea and was going to buy it next week when new rumors about 2020 gen MacBooks appeared. So I'm confused. On the one hand this is rumors, updated models may be to expensive(16 inch model), etc. On the other hand I'm buying this laptop for 3-4 years and this keyboard weakness may be critical. Have you any thoughts about this situation?

    Should I buy a 2018 MacBook Air

    I'm starting grad school in late August and need a new Mac. Does it make sense to buy a new 2018 MBA now for $999 at Costco? I don't foresee the price going lower. Is there any chance they will release a new MBA before September?

    The Apple store sent my MBA to repair center last week for a few warranty repairs. They changed the top case for keyboard and logic board for sleep/wake issue. I got it back today by mail, and the MBA won't even turn on even with the power plugged in. I'm probably going to visit the store in a few hours, hopefully this is resolved.

    Mac screen-splitting up that switches windows?

    So there are plenty of Mac third-party screen-splitting applications out there. What I want is a screen application that has a shortcut by which I can switch the two windows I have in split-screen mode.

    MBP 15” 2012 DEATH after Boot

    Hi, today I replaced the R-speaker of my MacBook Pro 15" 2012 RETINA. After that replace I turned it ON and after the Boot-Sound it stops and ShutDown. Now it doesn't boot anymore. Any suggestions?

    Buying Used & 13 or 15 MBP

    I have two questions. Based on used availability, I am considering either a 13 or 15 MBP. The min requirement is 16GB of RAM. Ideally I'd prefer the 15, but given the price, a 13 would do. I mainly use this for running VM's (Windows & Linux) for testing pentesting tools and malware. Any feedback or points of concern for a 13 or 15 would be appreciated.

    Searching used MBP's I am looking for only those that are Apple Care eligible or have it already. I see people selling "new" MBP sealed in a box. Some are 2019, and others are 2017 & 2018. I am not sure how they can get them cheap enough to sell used. What should I consider when buying used?

    I’m looking for help deciding my first macbook

    I'm looking for a used macbook and I found two that are ok for me: 1. a Macbook Air 2018 13" with only 2 battery cycles and 128GB of storage (the base model) - 900€ 2. a MacBook 12" 2018 with 512GB of storage and an i5 at 1.3GHz - 700€

    I'm oriented toward the first one but what do you think is the best? Thanks in advance

    Mac ssd works on 1/2 of my macbooks

    Basically what title sais, my macbook ssd will boot on one of my 2012 model macbooks but wont work on the other one (prohibited sign when booting) also 2012 model. My old hdd works on the one that dosent work with the ssd. Any help is appreciated

    Yesterday I was transferring some files on my Dad's Macbook PRO 2012 13" and It was a lot of hard work for the laptop I was working on it for more than 10 hours and now when my father started the mac it is so slow until its impossible to work with it... What can I do please, I ran antiviruses I have more than 100gb on both my SDD main system drive and HDD and My RAM is more than I need (3gb of free RAM) and really I don't know what to do now...

    Best MacBook Air configuration?

    Hello I am a future nursing student looking for a new MacBook. I was debating between the pro and the air but I think the air fits me more at this time. I would like to know the difference between 8 and 16 LPDDR3 memory. I definitely want atleast 512GB SSD storage.

    Do you recommend the air for school or should I just get the pro?

    Is anyone's pause/play key(F8) only working on app you are using?

    I noticed that pause and play is only working for whatever app you are using. For example, I will be listening to Spotify and go to watch a YouTube vid, press pause key (F8) to pause Spotify, and that only pauses and plays the YouTube video. It is not just pausing and playing the app that I am using for music like it always has. Anyone else have this notice this/have this problem?
