    Help me with my Airpod Problem

    I used my Airpod until the battery drains and then I had placed them in the case, after while the left one works fine but the Right Airpod doesn't works 😣, it is not charging and my iPhone detected only Left Airpod.

    It tried resetting it but nothing helps!

    My mom needs help with accounts

    Hey, a few months ago my mother added new accounts to her phone through the settings app, I assume that when she added these accounts her phone automatically switched to one of the accounts she just added and therefore we believe that all her contacts and notes since that day were saved on one of the new accounts. Today we removed these accounts and some of her contacts and some really important notes were also deleted. I added the accounts back and some of the info came back but some didnt, I figured that I would give it some time cause maybe the info was still downloading from the cloud.

    How can she transfer the notes and contacts to her main account/apple id?

    Will the information eventually return to the phone as I added the accounts back or are the contacts, notes and emails permanently lost?

    2015 “15” Retina... So this happened yesterday... Being told to wait 2-4 weeks for repair.. like what? Never mind my house almost burned down... Probably switching to PC if Apple drags their feet, which it seems they already are.

    Just got a second hand ipad 3, how can I download compatible apps?

    I don't own any other apple products, and I can't seem to download any apps since I can't update past IOS 9. Is there any way to download the newest version of an app compatible with my device? I can't use the previously purchased trick since I've never downloaded anything before and don't own an Apple computer.

    How can I disable dynamic elements of an app's dock icon?

    How can I send a photo album in a text message? I have an iPhone 8... My friend wants me to send her a photo album I have but it has over 90 photos in it so I don't really want to take the time to send them all individually. She has an iphone X i think and she is able to do it but I am not. Help?

    iMac 2017 27" 5k 3.4 GHz (latest OS). I just added extra RAM and now it won't turn on.

    I had 16GB and bought the correct kit to upgrade to 32GB. First attempt, nothing. Dead computer. Took out the new RAM and it's still dead. When I was putting the new RAM in I found the holder wouldn't go back in place without the memory sticks being pushed in tight. I've taken out the original RAM and put it back in but it's still dead. Please help!!

    My Plate app is sending my logged weight in two directions (I don’t know how to sum this up in a title, please read the post)

    I started using the My Plate app to track calories, because it's the best interface for one of these apps I've found. I noticed a problem though.

    I set it up to access my health data, so if I were to input my weight in the app, it logs it as an entry in the Health app. Normally though, I log my weight directly with the Health app or with an Apple shortcut.

    Let's say I log my weight in either of those two ways. If I then open the My Playe app, it will read that data and update my weight in the app. The problem is it seems to then be sending that weight as a second data point back to the Health app.

    So at the end of the day, if I log my weight and then open the My Plate app, every weight entry will have a duplicate.

    Does anyone know how I can fix this? I'd prefer to keep logging with my shortcut.

    iMessage: Old Message not loading up!

    My girlfriends iPhone XS iMessage is acting weird.

    She can't load up old messages. When she scrolls up the text history. It just stop at the oldest text ... doesn't load when you pull down

    But when you go see all the images from the chat... they all show up

    Any fix? Tips?

    Charger stuck in the charging port??

    Battery Issues on IPad Pro 10.5”

    About 2 months ago my kids wrecked the charging port on my 10.5" iPad Pro. It was bent out of shape and there was no other option than to have a new charge port installed. After 6 weeks in the repair shop, I've gotten my iPad back. And here's the issue I'm having now: the battery charge level changes around sporadically. It said it had like 95%, I opened Netflix and browsed less than 5 minutes and the iPad died. I started it again and it said I had 2%. I plugged it in and immediately it read 54%. I unplugged it to see what would happen and after a couple minutes it was 40%, then it died.

    Now before I picked it up they had said they were having issues charging it, after replacing the charge port. They left it plugged in all night after replacing it, but it didn't charge past 12%, but they thought at first it was due to a power outage, they opened it back up, tested all the connections, evidently found nothing wrong because they had nothing to say about it when I asked about it at pick up. When I picked it up it was at 96%. I figured no problem.

    So I am bringing it back to have them fix it and see what's up, but I'd like to have an idea on what I'm dealing with. Any ideas? Is my iPad toast?

    How do you move a Time Machine backup these days?

    So I've been trying to move my Time Machine backup from a smaller drive to a larger (newer) drive and it's all kind of confusing. I haven't done it in a few years, and last time I did it, it was just a simple copy job.

    Apple claims that you should just turn off Time Machine, make sure the permissions are correct and off you go to the races.

    Except... that's not how it works. It took me a while to realize that you couldn't just copy the Backups.backupdb folder, since it's protected. You need to enable Finder full disk access first. And when it does copy, the copy time takes an eternity and then just... never stops copying? MacOS claims that my Time Machine backup is 1,02 TB but after leaving it for a full two days the copy process said it had copied 1,8 TB (!?) and was still going with no end in sight. (Time remaining: 0 seconds for about half a day in the Finder copy window and after that I just gave up and cancelled.)

    So, uh... how do you move a Time Machine "Backups.backupdb" folder properly these days? Disk Utility? Terminal voodoo?

    Trying to get a HP Laserjet P1102w working with Mac OS 10.11 via wireless

    I am looking to move all my business stuff over to an iMac that was given to me. I have been using a HP Laserjet P1102w with Windows 7 with no issue via a USB cable. I found this HP website that titled "HP Printers - macOS 10.12, OS X 10.11, 10.10 Compatible Printers". When I click on the link to open the drop down menu for HP Laserjet printers and do a search for 1102 and then click on the link for "Apple Software Update" it takes me to a page that in step 3 says "Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads." I then click on that and then click on printers and do a search for the printer, it takes me to a page for the printer. I then expand the "Driver-Product Installation Software" section there is no download link.

    I also found this page that has the following steps

    OS X basic installation

    To install basic print drivers without running the HP full solution software from CD or hp.com download, follow these steps:

    1. Connect the printer to the computer or network.

    2. From System Preferences, and click Printers and Scanners.

    3. Click the plus [+] button on the bottom left, and select P1100 using the driver named either AirPrint or HP Printer."

    When I try this option and search for HP, Laserjet or P1100, it comes up with nothing.

    I am pulling my hair out here trying to have this working. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

    EDIT: I forgot to mention that I tried HP Easy Start, when it scans for the printer, it fails to detect it.

    Early 2016 12in Macbook keyboard repair

    Hi there, long time off again on again Mac user. I have a quick question. I have an Early-2016 MacBook 12in model which has the affected keyboard issue. If I send my MacBook in for the keyboard replacement, seeing as the keyboard is part of the entire top assembly, will I get a new/different battery and logic board returned to me? If anyone has done the repair/exchange program, please tell me what to expect and what will happen, aside from the keyboard being repaired/replaced. Thanks.

    Apple "Authorized Repair Center" Rant!!

    So, as well know, Best Buy takes Apple Care Plus for awhile now and repairs devices. I make an appointment to have my cracked screen repaired at BB. After driving all the way there I was told about the repair process and how it would only take 30 minutes or so so I'm thinking sweet I'll walk around. Next thing I know the lady turns around and goes wait I'm sorry, we can't repair your device.

    After irritatingly asking why the hell they couldn't go through the simple process of repairing my screen using the AC+ I've been paying for for nearly 2 years I was told my device has been "randomly selected" to only allow the good folks at Apple to repair it. I was given the option to send it in and go without a phone for 2 weeks (which isn't an option I run a business), or i'd have to drive 3 hours to the nearest crack head genius bar. What a MASSIVE PAIN IN THE ASS!! If Apple doesn't trust its certified repair dealers it shouldn't be in business with them! Or better yet, send an Apple representative to BB and have them monitor the repairs for a certain amount of time. I as a paying customer shouldn't have to be screwed up the ass because I just so happen to be the unlucky sap that gets my phone randomly selected.

    my new bluetooth trackpad acts wonky on my new mac mini.

    hello. i recently got a bluetooth track pad for my mac mini. the battery is new, and it sits close to my CPU. so it's not distance or battery life that is causing the issue.

    sometimes, it acts very sluggishly, and it's hard to control my mouse pointer. it seems to be kind of intermittent. it's not always like this, but it is right now. if i drag the cursor across the screen, it goes between moving slow and jumping from one point to another. it follows the path i give it, just shoddily. so, it acts as if i'm too far away. but i'm about 2 feet from it.

    also, when i use the three finger click-hold-drag shortcut, the trackpad does not register that i have done this for about a half to a whole second it seems. i have to tap and hold, then the computer understands that i've clicked and am holding down. so i drag the item, select the text, or whatever it is i'm doing...then i have to let go and *wait* for my computer to acknowledge that i've let go. there is always a slight time delay with the three finger usage. it is not like this for one or two fingers, vertical or horizontal scrolling, etc. only the three finger shortcut. i use logic pro, and any time i option+click and drag an audio segment, as to duplicate it, if i let go of 'option' before i've given the trackpad/computer a second to register that i've let go of the trackpad, the audio segment does not duplicate itself.

    is this how all bluetooth trackpads are supposed to behave? i understand bluetooth does have a slight time delay regardless. but the amount of time i have to wait when using the three finger functions seems peculiar, and too long.

    if this is too hard to understand, here is a screen cap video of me dragging the mouse around when the trackpad is intermittent. however i dont think a video of the three finger usage will demonstrate what i'm talking about because you'd have to see my hand in action. https://we.tl/t-UQLm8lpr0y

    Developers: Do you still use your 2015 MBP 15"?

    For those of you who use your MBP for professional activities, do you still use a 2015 MBP 15" or have you moved onto the newer TB models? Do you experience any lag when running programs/compiling? What about when connecting to a 4K display? Do you see yourself using it for the next few years?

    I will be attending a bootcamp for data science and I will be practicing web development on my own. I need to decide whether to buy a MBP 15" or use my old Windows machine. I don't want to buy a TB model to possible keyboard issues. Does it make sense for me to get a 2015 15" model? I can only find base models on ebay (for a decent price) but I have found a way to upgrade the SSD using this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FYY3H5F

    I know Apple discontinued it only last year but it's running a 4th gen Intel CPU with pretty poor graphics and I wonder if it would be worth it to keep my Windows machine until Apple releases an upgraded version without a butterfly keyboard.

    Replacing Hard Drive in mid-2010 Macbook Pro

    I received an old Macbook Pro from my grandfather not knowing he had Best Buy remove the old hard drive from it. So now I have a laptop without a hard drive. Would it be possible to install an SSD in the laptop without having a copy of the old hard drive on it? Is there a way to put a version of MacOs on the blank SSD? Thanks!

    How to get the best value for my iPhone 8

    I feel like I am in an odd spot. I currently have an iPhone 8 under Sprint which is eligible for free trade in upgrade, although I could also outright purchase it for around $80 right now because when I got it, I traded in my iPhone 6 to take off like $200 or something.

    However, I can not find anything online for Sprint that states how big of credit I could receive if I outright bought it and then sold it back for trade in credit. It doesn't look like Sprint offers anything for trading it in as-is, while it is still technically being leased (even though the money I pay for leasing goes towards me owning it??).

    I am nervous about my phone because the charging port seems to be going bad, and the rear camera has a problem with shaking so it does not work properly either. I would like to upgrade to the XR/XS pretty much solely for these reasons, because unless I tried to do it myself, it would probably cost a few hundred to fix my phone. However, that also makes me nervous about outright purchasing it and trying to sell it back to Sprint or Apple or whoever.

    I would like to fix these issues ASAP, but do not know how to get the best value for my phone.

    Not booting after deleting Linux partition

    Hi all,

    I've come in desperate need for advice.

    I had a Linux partition, which filled and wouldn't boot.

    Went into MacOS and got rid of the partition, and now it won't boot.

    I'm desperate to try and save the data.

    Currently sat in recovery, letting first aid run, but it appears to have hung.

    When I check the HDD info, I see: Owners Enables: No Is Encrypted: No Can be verified: No Can be repaired: No Bootable: No

    This goes on. A lot of No present.

    Would reinstalling macOS wipe the drive? The website says it won't, but I'd rather know from people with experience.

    Thanks in advanced, any advice at all is greatly appreciated.

    Numbers for Mac insert decimal point?

    Trying to help my mother move her simple spreadsheet tasks from her dying windows laptop to her Mac. She's still using Office 2003 on a badly outdated windows machine. Numbers on Mac might be able to satisfy her spreadsheet needs. If only we could figure out how to recreate this one behavior she is missing from Office 2003

    She needs to be able to input $ amounts and have the decimal automatically inserted. Example: She wants to be able to type the number 5489 and have it display $54.89

    I've never really had to work with spreadsheets. Is there any way to format cells to behave this way in Numbers?
