Basically its a hit/miss and I find NO LOGIC to the issue here 1) I can cleanly sync one album by an artist, then drag drop the next and it is not even possible to select my iPhone on the "drop" part of the drag drop..... literally 30 seconds apart, and it discriminates between these two albums for no reason.... I restart my phone, my Mac, my iTunes, unplug, plug back in , repeat 400000000 times, and suddenly it works once, then again its a mess. anyone know how to sync music cleanly? [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 06 Jun 2019 08:21 PM PDT In Mojave I have to reset SMC in order to tell MacOS to fully take control of auto brightness if I inadvertently adjust it using the keyboard. I was wondering if Catalina made it like iOS where toggling the auto brightness setting in preferences reset the calibration and set it back to "full auto" instead of having to manually restart and reset SMC. | Posted: 06 Jun 2019 05:52 PM PDT Complete noob here so bare with me. I received a 2nd hand MacBook Air that had been "wiped". When they gave it to me it looks like they might have wiped something it needed because it's in an endless boot to macOS utilities loop. When I try to remove the partitions it has left to start from new it says it can't do it because they are "active", if I try to unmount it same thing obviously. When I try to reinstall the os from the utilities it says the partition is locked (I also can't create a new partition because it can't shrink the other). Is there a way from terminal to remove everything and start as if it were a fresh HD out of the box (software wise). [link] [comments]  | ||

| Keyboard Maestro for window management with multiple screens? Posted: 06 Jun 2019 10:33 AM PDT Hey all, I'm looking for a tool to solve an annoyance I have, and I think Keyboard Maestro might do it. I have a MacBook Pro, and when I'm at my desk, it's open and connected to two external monitors. I have my windows set up in a specific way for my workflow, but I also often have to disconnect from my monitors for meetings, etc. When I disconnect, the windows and spaces all get jumbled, and I have to reposition them to make sense again. The biggest complication I foresee here is that I often have multiple Chrome windows open, and each will have a different purpose. Here's a rough version of what I want to do: When connected to monitors: Chrome Window 1 on laptop screen, all other chrome windows on external screen 1, code editor on external screen 2. When disconnected from monitors: Chrome Window 1 on leftmost space, all other chrome windows to the right of that, code editor to the right of that. From the bit of research I've done, I haven't been able to find if you can position windows in different spaces with Keyboard Maestro. Is this possible? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 06 Jun 2019 09:25 AM PDT I have an early 2015 mbp with 128gb (I know that's stupid but I couldn't afford more at that Time), so as you can imagine Space is limited. I wanted to install the new Xcode Beta and at the beginning I had about 20gb of free space. I deleted the old Version of Xcode (which was about 8gb) and tried to clean the trash. It didn't finisch and I cancelled it, after that it seemed to be deleted. So then I tried to install the Beta. When I did this it said that I don't have enough free space, so I looked at my memory and I only had 9gb of free space (the file didn't unpack). Then I tried to uninstall a ipsw because it was 4gb and I didn't need it anymore - the same Problem with the trash reappered. After that there where 6 gb left and it was eventually getting less. Now theres no space left at all, I'm not able to delete anything nor installing the OS again because theres just no space. And no, I can't find any Field in the filesystem associated to that. Anyone knows what to do rather then resetting the mac? [link] [comments]  | ||
