| Posted: 18 Oct 2017 09:33 PM PDT I jailbroke my iPhone 6s before and tried updating and it said there was an error downloading update, I tried restoring it with iTunes (newest version) and I get another error saying it can't connect to my iPhone. I factory reset but that destroyed everything, I set up as new and still had Cydia installed, but now it's broken and none of the tweak apps can be deleted. PLEASE HELP! I cannot figure out how to get rid of Cydia and it's tweaks so I can update to iOS 11 and use my Apple Watch. [link] [comments]  |

| 6s won’t let me download any iMessage games Posted: 18 Oct 2017 08:49 PM PDT I had GamePigeon installed but I didn't play it much but i was sent a game and click on it and it took me to the App Store and i saw it wasn't installed (and I definitely had it installed and didn't uninstall) so I installed it again. It took forever to load but then the loading installing circle with the square in it stayed there and didn't install. So I tried installing two other iMessage games and same thing, wouldn't installed but i had no problem downloading pinterest. Weird because I have more than 90gigs of storage left. | songs not being sorted into albums Posted: 18 Oct 2017 03:43 PM PDT Hi, I'm hoping to get some help here since the closest Apple store to me is actually not that close lol So I recently restored my laptop and had to delete the music on my phone for it to sync with iTunes again. Now, every time I add music to my phone, songs from the same album appear individually. I don't think it's the ID3 tags because I used to be able to add music (I'm using the same files) without this problem. Also, deleting the songs and then adding them a second time seems to solve the issue, but that's cumbersome to do for every single album I put on my phone. Sorry if this is confusing. I'm having a hard time wording this. Here's a picture of what I mean: https://imgur.com/VAaVUu2 Another issue I've noticed is that some artists aren't listed in the artists tab. This also wasn't a problem I had before. Anyone know how to solve this?? I'm using an iPhone 7 Plus running 11.0.3. I tried restoring my phone and had no luck. I also manually add all my music. I installed whatsapp, and all my conversations were gone. I did not made a backup on icloud. And if that wasn't enough, i also factory reset my iphone 7+. | Posted: 18 Oct 2017 12:33 PM PDT The tower that services the area I work in is giving my phone major issues. My wife and I are in the same plan (Sprint unlimited, grandfathered) and have the same phones. If I do a side by side network test (Ookla app) she gets >60mbps down while I get 0.56mbps down. During the Speedtest the needle on the display will spike up past 10 then settle back down and hover at/around the 0.56 mark. Upload usually stays the same but sometimes is as high as 15 or 20mbps. It looks like I'm being throttled but Sprint swears I'm not. If we do side by side tests away from this single tower our speeds are close - within 5%. And besides this one tower, I don't have issues. After a LOT of troubleshooting, including Sprint sending network engineers to my building to verify the tower is working correctly, they've requested I do a full reset of my phone and test with no apps or non-Apple settings. I've done it before so I doubt it will help, but they say it's what I need to do for them to continue troubleshooting. The thing is, I really need to keep my messages during the restore. Apple did over the air diagnostics and my phone "passed with flying colors." I've restarted the phone, updated my network settings via some ##823xxx# process. Sprint has verified I'm getting the right signal by having me enter some sort of data screen by typing 3001#12345#. I've cleared my Safari cache. I've reset my local settings through the Settings options.

What can I do besides throw this phone in the garbage? PS. The worst part is that I downloaded the app with Itunes a month or so ago, and literally the next day when I went to load it up on the phone, I couldn't find the app on itunes, researched and found out that it was that day apple removed that feature. Its unusable except for a few odd minutes of the day when it stops (most of the time my screen clicks are registering elsewhere too). | iPhone 5s restarting randomly after screen replacement Posted: 18 Oct 2017 10:11 AM PDT Hi all, Yesterday I replaced the screen to an old iPhone 5s (mod a1533) after reassembling it to test, I plugged it in after to test camera, sensor, touch, and screen capabilities, all of which were functional. Running fully updated ios 11. This is when I discovered that when plugged in the phone would randomly power down and restart (the one curious bit was that the white apple logo shows then flashes away then reappears each cycle. Once powered back on it will show various degrees of battery charge, and often changes its reading if the phone is put to sleep then opened again. Ive tried googling the specific symptoms without much luck, I have already retested the battery connections and I am starting to wonder if this is a bad battery that will not properly hold charge or if it is more likely a problem elsewhere. Either way this is a 'junk' phone that I have had sitting around for years and decided to place a new screen on to use as a dash cam - so I am not really terribly concerned on a financial level, moreso just frustrated that I cant figure it out Cheers and thanks Update: unplugged phone to observe, now it has stopped rebooting and is stuck at 3% - goign to drain battery fully and observe charging from 'empty' [link] [comments]  |

I use the alarm clock that's already in the iphone (no other app) and during the past week my alarm hasn't been working fine, it keeps on not going off sometimes (making me miss class twice now) and I'm afraid that's going to happen again when I have something more important (like an exam or work) I wake up very easily (light sleeper) so I'm sure it hasn't been going off lately, has anyone had this problem before? | Posted: 18 Oct 2017 04:55 AM PDT Everytime I use my maps function on the road (maps or google maps) my gps doesn't follow where I'm actually at on the road and in other cases it will put my location off to the actual side of the road which causes me to not even know where I'm actually at. | iPhone 5c not powering on at all Posted: 18 Oct 2017 03:34 AM PDT I've received an iPhone 5c with a pretty swollen battery, that battery was completely dead. i measured the battery with a multimeter and it read out as 0 volts. Now i've replaced it with a new battery but it still doesn't want to boot at all, plugging it in doesn't change anything. Been having issues with my iPhone since I got it unblocked I went to an unofficial place to get it unblocked. I've been getting messages from my service provider saying I need to top up every hour which is weird cause I just roped up yesterday and I'm on a deal of free calls and internet. It's as if it's sending something in the background that I'm not aware of. Also getting calls from numbers all over the world from Latvia, Austria etc. I think there's something really wrong with it. | Mic, Video and Calls Disabled After Update Posted: 18 Oct 2017 01:07 AM PDT I have an Iphone 7 and after the newest IOS update my phone started to act up. My phone rings but when I answer there is nothing but silent. The other person cant here me neither. And if some miracle it does get through or working i here some scratching noise or the connection not clear. I try face time and it tries to connect but gets after a few moments it gets cancelled. I try any video or calling apps including viber or FB messenger and it doesnt connect. I try voice memo to check mic working but its unresponsive and doesnt work. Siri cant hear me. Basically anything related to mic or video doesnt work. But here is the weirdest part on my car bluetooth I can make phone calls with no issue. I dont know what is going on so I erase and reset my phone hoping it will fix it but when i restored it the same issues still persist. Please anything will help. Thank you. [link] [comments]  |
