- Read Reports Acting Strange
- Can't install or update apps (iPhone 5)
- iPhone doesn’t receive text messages when powered off
- Iphone disabled. Connect to itunes.
Posted: 31 May 2019 06:31 AM PDT I'm confused with someone's read reports, they had read reports turned on for me. I sent them a message Tuesday, it showed as read, they replied and then I replied back, my reply only showed as delivered until today (Thursday) at which point it changed from "Delivered" to "Read Tuesday" I'm not sure how this happened, it is possible I was blocked and then un-blocked but I don't know if this would be the result of being un-blocked. If anyone has any insight or has had this happen to them I would appreciate some feedback. [link] [comments] |
Can't install or update apps (iPhone 5) Posted: 31 May 2019 06:37 AM PDT Since yesterday, whenever I try to install or update any app, it downloads for a bit then stops and gives me the message "[app] could not be transferred at the moment", which pops up twice. I've reset network settings, signed out and back in the app store, added payment info, removed said payment info, freed up storage space, nothing worked. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
iPhone doesn’t receive text messages when powered off Posted: 31 May 2019 09:03 AM PDT My iPhone 6s sometimes/intermittently doesn't receive texts messages when it's turned off. It still always (I believe) receives iMessages from iPhone users though. This is the second iPhone that I've encountered this problem with. I had an iPhone 6 previously and took it to an Apple store to have a genius look at the issue. They tried troubleshooting the problem in every way they could, including doing a full factory reset and reinstallation of the software. They finally determined it must be a problem with the actual phone itself. This is when and why I bought my iPhone 6s that I currently have. We did a few test texts in the Apple store when I got it and everything worked fine. That was probably about 1 year ago and lately I've been noticing the same issue happening on my iPhone 6s. There's hardly any info online about other people who have had this problem, I suspect because most people don't regularly turn there phones all the way off, and even if you do it takes quite a while to notice you aren't receiving all the texts you should be. I'm required to have my phone powered off while I'm at work so for me this is a major issue. I guess I will go back to an Apple store and have this phone looked at, but I feel it's really unlikely that this is a hardware problem since this is the second phone it's happened with. I'm almost ready to give up on iPhone if I can't get this resolved. Has anyone else ever dealt with an issue like this with their iPhone? Sometimes upon powering on the phone I'll see text messages on the lock screen from someone who's in my contacts, but it won't show their name only their phone number. Once I unlock the phone the red bubble saying how many new texts appears on the messages icon, only to disappear after a few seconds, and those text messages are seemingly gone forever. Sometimes there's nothing on the lock screen and nothing in my messages even though I've confirmed with friends that they sent me a text message. Please help! [link] [comments] |
Iphone disabled. Connect to itunes. Posted: 31 May 2019 07:23 AM PDT I have an old iphone 4s running IOS 9.3.5 and it says 'iPhone disabled. Connect to iTunes.' I know how to reset it, but is there any way i can unlock it without deleting the content? I have some important photos in there i'd like to keep. Thanks [link] [comments] |
