| Posted: 18 Jun 2019 09:48 PM PDT I'm trying to clear the "suggested users" that pop up when you start to type in the search bar. Everything I'm reading says to "long tap" and click "hide". The problem I'm having is "hide" never pops up. I asked this on the Instagram sub but I feel like it's just going to get ignored so I figured I'd try here. It's not really that big of a deal, but it being such a simple thing that's not working is really annoying me. Any recommendations? I've restarted my phone, I've updated the app, I've logged in and logged back out. Please help me fix this stupid little issue. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 18 Jun 2019 06:55 PM PDT SUPER common mishap I'm sure, but as a predominantly Android user and someone out of the cell phone for game for a bit I'm not sure where else to turn. So I damaged my screen while on vacation (luggage pressure) and after having it repaired I unfortunately found I'd been locked out and needed an iTunes restore. No idea how there were password attempts via an unresponsive damaged screen but sure enough... The problem is I've never backed it up via iTunes before and any cloud account I've used doesn't have the Notes (the photos despite thousands I can get over) I need. It's absurd to me there doesn't seem to be a way to access the device data when various email/call notifications still come through. Is there any third party solution to access the data without a restore? I'd pay a data restoration or migrate hardware myself if there's a possibility of recovery. | Posted: 18 Jun 2019 02:59 PM PDT When I call someone or recieve a call it automatically goes to speaker.( Loud rings) then when someone answers I don't hear a peep, and they can't hear me. I can hear YouTube videos that have sound, but can't hear anything if I make a new video on my camera. This just started over night. Also, when I restart my phone, it has the normal white background with the apple icon as normal, but it stays on that screen for a good 5 minutes before finally restarting. Any advice? | Facebook Messenger noises, even with sounds off in Notifications Posted: 18 Jun 2019 02:30 PM PDT My phone (iPhone 8+, 12.3.2) has started making noises related to Facebook Messenger - there's a short noise when the other person reads my message, as well as one when someone sends a message. As far as I can remember, this only happens when the phone is locked and the screen is off. Under notifications, I don't have sound allowed on either Facebook or Facebook messenger (just banners and badges). I don't see any settings in the apps either for this. | Record video without pausing music? Posted: 18 Jun 2019 06:47 AM PDT Hi all. Is there any way or workaround to recording video through your iPhone without pausing music that you're playing? I often have my headphones in during the gym and like to record the odd set on video but have to use someone else's. I found an app called Mideo but it's £2.99 which is a bit steep for what it is so I wanted to find a cheaper (free!) workaround if possible. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |
| I can't backup my phone at all Posted: 18 Jun 2019 08:41 AM PDT I am unable to backup my phone either to iCloud or to my computer. I have left my phone trying to backup overnight both plugged into a computer (2 different computers) or connected to wifi charging right next to my router receiving 500 down when I did a speed test. I have signed out of iCloud on my phone and signed back in a few times, I deleted my old backup, I deleted most of the apps I downloaded around the last time it backed up which was 4/28. I have a 500 GB storage plan with iCloud and only 50 GB used. Yesterday I talked to apple support and we tried to check the usb drivers and all of the previous stated things I tried again. I am able to backup other phones on either machine I've tried just not mine. I have an Iphone XS Max running the latest version of IOS no profiles currently installed. Has anyone else had this issue? | Posted: 18 Jun 2019 04:31 AM PDT Hi. I did restore my device with new ios 12.3.1. But after that my phone end up in a loop recovery/dfu mod and my computer doesn't recognize my phone at all. Can't see it in device manager/system report or anywhere else. Tried with mac and windows. My other phone is ok with same cable and pc. I literally tried everything on the google and youtube. When I say, "Hey Siri, message __________," it works for some contacts and not others. | Unable to use backup through cloud due to different IOS Posted: 18 Jun 2019 08:05 AM PDT So the iPhone 8 Plus recently got the newest IOS software. The 12.3.2 which was only made for iPhone 8 Plus. My new iPhone XR runs the 12.3.1 which is the furthest iOS is has. Due to the iPhone 8 being technically higher than iPhone XR, I can't actually backup and bring all my data to the XR from the 8. | iPhone XS Bluetooth Volume Changes Itself Posted: 18 Jun 2019 07:10 AM PDT Hi all, I've come to Reddit with a frustrating issue which has been going on for months and I just cannot seem to find the solution. I had an iPhone 7 Plus but last month upgraded to an iPhone XS and the problem is STILL there. When I listen to my music in the car via Bluetooth every time i change the track the volume reduces itself. The head unit I have in the car is the JVC KD-R871BT and I've checked all settings and there's nothing on there enabled for Bluetooth volume changing. I also have an Apple Watch but I've turned off the media playback control just in case that played a part. Any solutions or ideas will be soooooo much appreciated! thanks in advance!
