Graveyard Keeper Mobile Review: How Does Stardew Valley Gone Bad Play on iOS and Android Posted: 29 Jun 2019 05:42 AM PDT Hey guys! We've run a review of Graveyard Keeper this week over on Gamezebo so thought I'd share it with you in case any of you are on the fence about grabbing it. Previously, we mostly focused on mobile game guides but we've started ramping up our news and reviews coverage lately, so we'd recommend checking in daily / weekly. :) Edit: fixed link [link] [comments]

Does mobile gaming use a lot of data to play consistently (5 hours+)? Posted: 29 Jun 2019 08:19 AM PDT Looking to explore mobile gaming minus the need to carry additional battery. Another concern is the consist use of mobile data as I have a capped monthly plan, as such per the title. [link] [comments]
Any hero/card collector games that aren’t that restrictive on F2P players? Posted: 29 Jun 2019 06:41 AM PDT I'd be willing to throw in some money once I'm more invested but generally look for a F2P experience [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Jun 2019 03:06 PM PDT Hey! I´m looking for rpgs or games with rpg elements that do not requires my full concentration (I'm not looking for a full pc/console port). I'm more of a fan of 2D games, 16 bits graphics and that kind of style because they usually don't drain my battery. Finally, it would be best if they are free or up to 3 dollars. Some games that I've played recently are StardewValley, Weapon Shop Fantasy (lite versión), Tiny Dice, Dungeon Maker. Thanks beforehand :) [link] [comments]
Looking for RPG recommendations. I have played most of the ‘big names’. Posted: 28 Jun 2019 06:25 PM PDT Other than working full time, i have free time I want to kill. I love RPGs and JRPGs that have a great story, character customization, etc. I have played all of the FF games, DQ, SWTOR, pretty much all of the big name games. Are there any really good games that are less known that I can sink my teeth into? I don't mind paying, well I prefer it because it somewhat ensures better quality. Thanks. [link] [comments]

Can iOS (and by extension, macOS) transform into a destination for AAA games? Posted: 28 Jun 2019 12:53 PM PDT I'm curious to field this community's perspective. Given that future iterations of iOS and iPadOS accept DualShock 4s and Xbox One S+ controllers as input devices, would it be too optimistic to assume a proliferation of AAA titles is in the cards? I recognize that there are potential hurdles (which I will identify), but it seems to me that the stars are aligning in the Apple ecosystem for a gaming "revolution" (used lightly here and a bit tongue-in-cheek). Project Catalyst may also invigorate the gaming scene on macOS, no? I know that the lack of Vulcan support gimps the Mac as a gaming platform, but I imagine the following scenario: a popular AAA title is ported to iOS and iPadOS due to increasingly powerful hardware with untapped potential, a large built-in consumer base, and (most importantly) because the platform now supports widely circulated and suitable controllers tailored for such an experience. Potentially, this AAA game may not be too difficult to port to the Mac, so let's assume it gets ported. Now the higher end platform is getting downstream benefits due increasing overlap of devices and software in this ecosystem. Now, here are the potential hurdles: » Mobile gamers are typically unwilling to pay a premium price for a premium experience. » I believe Apple limits the size of app downloads. » Battery limits (although this hasn't hurt the popularity of the Nintendo Switch). » Lack of gaming services found on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and even Nintendo. » Mobile hardware, while increasingly powerful, doesn't have the benefit of internal cooling. This would impact performance. Pros: » Apple Arcade. This signifies that Apple is finally taking gaming seriously, so perhaps they will make the necessary ecosystem improvements and alleviate some of the issues listed. » Project Catalyst and adoption of PlayStation and Xbox controllers (hopefully soon Nintendo Switch's Pro controller). » Large, lucrative software market place. Apple just needs to find a way to differentiate a premium experience from a freemium one. Apple Arcade is part of the puzzle, but if these games make it to Mac and/or are primarily advertised to an enthusiast gamer crowd who understands the kind of experience they're buying then they may be able to find consumers willing to pay a bit more. » Apple manufactures some of the most powerful mobile hardware and the best tablet on the market. The power difference is not too far off from the MacBook lines so perhaps increased overlap isn't out of the question. » Lots of major developers that are intimately familiar with the platform already. Challenges: » At some point, Nintendo and / or Apple are going to realize they're becoming direct competitors (if Apple can attract AAA experiences). That's of course if one of these parties (Apple) hasn't realized it already. Nintendo seems happy to make mobile games for iOS (and I don't think they view the platform as a threat to their business model), but I think Apple may view the Switch as a threat to their tablet market dominance. Think about it, most people use iPads for video streaming, light gaming, and web browsing. While a Switch cannot perform two of those tasks better than an iPad, it certainly has a leg up in gaming experiences offered. Additionally, the Switch can improve on those other functions in time with future OS updates while iPad has already nailed down those interactions and cannot improve much further. Now, Apple loves their gaming revenue, and I'm sure they want to ensure that gravy train continues and grows, so they have to improve the gaming experience within their ecosystem). Thoughts? Posted: 28 Jun 2019 02:37 PM PDT Looking for suggestions on games you can play with one hand, don't require internet, and go well with listening to podcasts or audiobooks. Shouldn't be very strategic or text-heavy. Should be simple, fun, and ideally not real-time (so you don't mess up your game in case you have to suddenly move out of someone's way). For example, I like Reigns a lot but it doesn't fit the bill because it's text heavy—hard to play and listen to a podcast/audiobook at the same time. Games I've really liked that fit this bill, in no particular order:
