Apple Pay on Apple Watch is amazing. Posted: 26 Jun 2019 01:28 PM PDT I might be late to the party, but being in the US my mindset is to use my debit card everywhere. There are a few places I even think about using Apple Pay (Target, Best Buy) but yesterday, I used it on my watch. Just a double tap of the side button. No Face ID, no Touch ID, no passcode. Never seen anything so seamless. Even the cashier seemed pretty shocked. [link] [comments]

Just submitted a lengthy feedback to Apple Posted: 27 Jun 2019 09:00 AM PDT I submitted a really long feedback to Apple hoping they can somehow add a Bluetooth toggle to control center of watchOS or even a option in the settings app to disable automatic Bluetooth connection. It would function similar to the way iOS 13's Bluetooth toggle works but on the Apple Watch. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Jun 2019 08:47 AM PDT I installed iOS 13 public beta on iPhone, but am still running iOS 5.*. Whatever the latest version is... but not iOS 6. I've notice a steep battery drain on Apple watch series 4. Any ideas why this is? [link] [comments]
40mm Series 4 GPS vs Cellular battery size Posted: 27 Jun 2019 08:28 AM PDT Is the battery cell on the 40mm cellular watch physically larger than the GPS only version? I don't plan on using the cellular data at all. [link] [comments]
Questions for series 4 owners who formerly had a series 3: Posted: 27 Jun 2019 08:11 AM PDT My 3 doesn't automatically pick up the START of a workout. Does the 4? Also, do you get anything new in the heart rate tracking? (Other than the ECG, which I'm not sure how I would read the results.) [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Jun 2019 07:19 AM PDT If I buy an Apple watch series 4 Stainless model from US but still never activated in US until I go back to home in a country where not ECG supported and then I will pair it to my iPhone x (iOS 12.3.1). Can I use feature ECG on apple watch? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Jun 2019 06:35 AM PDT Is there currently an app that shows you the current weather outside, in the complication circle? Does the "Weather Conditions" complication update to what it's like in my local area? It currently shows a sun but IDK if it will update if it gets cloudy. [link] [comments]
Apple Watch won’t play music from iPhone Posted: 27 Jun 2019 06:08 AM PDT My Apple Watch for some reason won't let me play music from my iPhone via my watch. I've tried a restart of the watch and the music app, but nothing seems to do the trick. Help [link] [comments]
Stock Apple complications won’t update on watch face without changing faces. Posted: 26 Jun 2019 06:04 PM PDT This is an ongoing issue where the temperature and activity rings on my complication often do not update on my watch face until I swipe to a different face and then swipe back. Ive been experiencing this through the last few watchOS and iOS updates. Currently on 5.2.1 on the Series 4 SS watch and 5.31 on the iPhone X. I've tried deleting the watch from the phone, factory resetting the watch and reinstalling and it never seems to fix the issue. Swiping to a different face and then back seems to fix it all the time. Shouldn't these two stock Apple complications have live or near-live updating? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Jun 2019 05:57 AM PDT Does anyone have any suggestions for watch bands? I currently own 3: grey sport band (for gym), product red sport loop (casual/sleep), and nomad modern leather strap (for work). I'd like to find another band for casual wear. Right now I'm looking at Nike sport bands and third party nylon bands (bc apple stopped making them 😢). If you have any suggestions, could you please let me know as well as post pics of your favorite bands? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Apple Watch Series 2 water damage Posted: 27 Jun 2019 05:08 AM PDT My AW S2 isn't starting anymore and it's beginning to look like it's probably due to water damage. I took it in a swimming pool, as I have many times in the past. However when I got out this time the screen was unresponsive even after turning the crown. So I hard reset my Apple watch and it hasn't turned on since then. On the charger the watch just gets hot without turning on, so I'm pretty certain it's water damage. Anyone have any ideas if I can do anything to revive the watch? Would taking it to the Apple store help? Not under any warranty or AppleCare since it's 2.5 years old now. [link] [comments]
Heart rate variability and stuff Posted: 26 Jun 2019 02:38 PM PDT I guess we are all pretty much aware that heart rate variability, as measured by the Apple watch is inversely proportional to your stress level. I know it's a little more complex than that but as a rule of thumb the lower your HRV the higher your stress level. This pretty much checks out in my own experience. Apple doesn't make it particularly easy to see your HRV - there's no complication for example, you need to go to the health app on your phone. I found an inexpensive app in the store that has a good display of current and past HRV measurements and a complication. The app is here - Heart Rate Variability Tracker https://apps.apple.com/us/app/heart-rate-variability-tracker/id1463020956 After I had installed it I was wanting to check my HRV at various times during the day. It seems the watch does check it but only infrequently, you need to be at rest for example. However running the Breathe app causes a measurement to be posted into the Health app and become available to the app. Previously I had been using the Breathe app as you are supposed to do - take time out for a minute or two to relax. What I only just realized is that you can set it going any time you are inactive, even driving, and it will still measure your HRV even if you don't actually take time out to breathe in a measured manner. Just breathe normally as you are doing. So, basically the Breathe app has become my HRV app, and the above mentioned HRV Tracker app is it's visible part. TLDR Stuff [link] [comments]
I don't trust my complications Posted: 26 Jun 2019 02:11 PM PDT So many times have I glanced down at my watch to see todays current weather, to just a few minutes later look out the window and see that it's pouring down - not perfectly sunny as the complication told me. When I then click the complication the app updates and it now shows rain. Same with the calendar (wrong date) or my heart rate (120bpm while watching TV? Boy this show must be good). Even though I'm using third party apps (Carrot Weather, Better Day, Cardiogram), I feel like you should be able to trust the complications when you quickly take a look at your wrist? Anyone else has this problem? Is there a setting I've missed to make them update more often? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jun 2019 05:34 PM PDT I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know where I can get a reasonable older version of the Apple Watch? Trying to get one for a friend getting back into fitness after medical issues that have caused her to gain a lot of weight. I'm trying to convince her to get one, but she's not 100% sold, so I'd like to get her one myself because I know she'll be as obsessed as I am. I don't have the money to shell out for a brand new one (that she may not even use) so I'm just looking for sort of a 'starter' watch. TIA [link] [comments]
What do you use your Watch for? Posted: 26 Jun 2019 02:56 PM PDT So I got gifted an Apple Watch S4 recently. It's been about two weeks now and I don't feel like I'm using it enough. Some of my current uses include:
And that's about it. I feel like I'm not making the most of it. Any ideas on how else I might be able to use it would be appreciated. I hear stories of people saying it's their most important gadget etc. And I actually want it to be mine because I need to reduce time I spend on my phone too. [link] [comments] |
