Strange HBO Now audio issue - only one episode has no sound Posted: 20 Jun 2019 08:33 PM PDT Went to watch episode 5 of Chernobyl tonight on my 4K Apple TV running through an older Denon 7.1 AVR. I've never really had any problems before, but for some reason, the actual episode have very muted audio. It was barely audible and seemed to be slowed down a lot. The strange thing is the audio for the other 4 episodes are fine, as is the audio for the clips from the previous episode. I've tried restarting the Apple TV, powering off, disconnecting/reconnecting the HDMI to the receiver. Nothing seems to work. Any thoughts? I'll try again tomorrow night, maybe it will work itself out on its own. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Jun 2019 07:20 PM PDT You can see what's happening here.. Note this is not a scene transition that's causing the black screen. I rented Pacific Rim 4K off iTunes and this happens every five minutes to the second. The screen goes black and then turns back on and a little green HDMI symbol pops up in the top left-hand corner of the screen. When watching another 4K movie through Netflix on the same Apple TV, the screen never blacked out. This is really strange because this means that it only happens on iTunes and not Netflix, even though I streamed both through the same device (Apple TV). The Apple TV 4K and my Sony VPL-VW285ES projector both run into my Marantz SR7012 receiver. I didn't skip out on my HDMI cable from the projector to the receiver. I'm using a 50' Monoprice SlimRun AV HDR High Speed Cable. I'm using Monoprice Ultra Slim Series High Speed HDMI Cables for everything else. Very much appreciate some help! [link] [comments]
Best way to watch GoT and HBO Shows in general? Posted: 20 Jun 2019 10:12 PM PDT Wondering if the HBO through the Apple TV app has good or better quality than HBO Now or Prime. Last i saw, HBO through Prime was the best for image quality. [link] [comments]
Tv show I own isn’t playable from up next? Posted: 20 Jun 2019 12:36 PM PDT So I own season 1-8 of curb your enthusiasm which I bought in a bundle (so when you view it it is listed in one big list instead of being split out into seasons). Since updating to the latest tvOS in my up next it shows curb your enthusiasm but when I click to play the episode it goes into the show separated by seasons and then asks me to buy the episodes. How can I make up next work correctly? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Jun 2019 10:35 AM PDT For a few months now, the Sky News app on ATV4K does not stream live. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, can't figure it out. It just shows a spinning buffering icon and whatever was live at the time I press the Sky News UK Live button in the app. Anyone else have this problem, or can suggest a fix? It's annoying to watch the YT stream because it has an 'international' version which misses lots of content (and ads, but this is fine). Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Jun 2019 08:15 AM PDT I'm looking at getting a new 4K TV, and I've been looking at the Samsung Q8 and the Sony XF90. I was planning on getting the Apple TV regardless, but the Samsung now has the app. How does it compare to the actual apple hardware? How's picture quality on 4k content compared to the hardware? Thanks [link] [comments]
Can I navigate my Roku TCL tv with Apple TV remote? Posted: 20 Jun 2019 10:55 AM PDT *TV in question:* TCL 6-Series 55" 4K UHD HDR LED Roku OS Smart TV (55R615-CA) *TV remote:* The 55R615 has a simpler remote than the 55R617 variant. It is an IR remote that requires line-of-sight and does not have the voice control feature. *Apple TV:* 4K I have been able to use the Apple TV remote to turn the tv on and off, raise and lower the volume, and of course navigate through the Apple TV channels, but I would like to use it to navigate the Roku channels. I tried to pair it using the TCL/Roku system, but it doesn't recognize it. It's the age-old, first-world common complaint about too many remotes! The Apple TV remote is more stylish than the TCL one, so I would like to use only that one. Is this possible? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Jun 2019 09:34 AM PDT Is there a way to unpair or remove a "learned remote"? (IR, not bluetooth) I want my TV remote back. [link] [comments]
Spectrum TV app multiple logins Posted: 20 Jun 2019 06:04 AM PDT Just curious if anyone out there is using the Spectrum TV app? I am reading online that it does not require a password to log in because you should already be connected to Spectrum internet. Theoretically, whether it's right or wrong, say I move into my own place and want to use my parents Spectrum TV, but I do not have Spectrum internet... can I log into the Spectrum AppleTV app on my appletv with my parents credentials? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Jun 2019 10:18 AM PDT With fire sticks you can control one or both. Disabled you need to use TV remote to turn power off. Enabled you need to use receiver remote if you don't want external speakers. SRS Sony Bravia speakers are fine most of the time. [link] [comments] |
