- Bought brandnew iphone8 on 7June. After I activated, it shows purchase date on 14May2019 and AppleCare until 13May2021. I'm sure it wasn't activated before I unboxed it. What does it mean? Should I complain with the shop?

Say it's two or three years time and Catalyst is successful. Now hundreds of crucial and popular apps on both platforms with solid support and roadmap. Things are looking up! What are the chances at this point Apple might consider architecting a way for users to quickly switch between the two systems/interfaces? E.g. they merge the two operating systems, but in typical Apple-fashion they do not try to bring touch over to the Mac, nor do they try to stick a real mouse pointer on iPadOS. Instead the system waits for users to connect certain peripherals (keyboards/mice) and switches the software mode to the most appropriate and useful UI for the selected input method: once a keyboard-case-with-trackpad is detected by the system, iPadOS, fluidly morphs into macOS, or vice versa if keyboard is detached. Enabling a kind of power and flexibility iPad users of today couldn't even imagine. And before some of you say "this will never happen, Apple said they will never do this". Apple were speaking to a different kind of OS merging when they spoke to this. It's not about mashing iPadOS and macOS together, as some people wanted a couple of years ago. This is about modes and use cases. Like you connect a keyboard and suddenly your iPad goes turbo and becomes a workhorse. Detach and go to the sofa iPad is iPad again: fun and touchable. I don't know if something along these lines is inevitable... but it would not surprise me. And if similar does occur, my question is how long will we have to wait? Six years? Five? ..... Four? | Where are my photos. Icloud is a confusing mess. Posted: 09 Jun 2019 07:45 AM PDT I tried syncing a photos folder from my laptop (windows10) to my iPhone using iTunes. I select photos tab then click add folder to library from within iTunes. Select the photos folder I want then click open. On photos tab (iTunes) all I see is a message saying "your photos are stored in iCloud and able to be downloaded over WiFi. No tick box to click/sync. Going back to the summary screen I click on sync hoping the photos (folder) that I added to library have stuck but they are nowhere to be found on my iPhone after syncing completes. I have been at this for hours now. Back & forth and I can't even tell if the photos have been added to my library. Why, when I click the photos tab in iTunes is there no tick box (sync photos) but instead a message saying "iCloud photos is ON photos are able to be downloaded over WiFi " Has it always been this convoluted? | Getting error 14 when installing beta 1 on my device Posted: 09 Jun 2019 07:30 AM PDT Hi everyone, I'm trying to install the beta onto my device (iPhone 7 running iOS 12.3.1) without a developer account (I know, I know...), however once I select the IPSW profile, and after waiting a while, I get an error saying that the iPhone could not be updated because an unknown error occurred (error 14). Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? I've searched online and found the most common causes of error 14: USB cable failing or problems Using an old version of iTunes Firmware errors or corruption Low storage or memory on your device Unstable network connections My USB cable is working fine, I'm using the newest version of iTunes on macOS 10.14.6 beta, I have a very stable network connection and i have enough storage on my device. Does this mean that the firmware file I'm using is corrupt? Ive tried the files from betaprofiles.com and the other sites that several youtubers used. Is this an iOS thing or have they decided to roll this out everywhere? Also most videos over a certain length simply stop playing half way through on iPad or Apple TV. | Looking for bluetooth remotes that work with Switch Control (accessibility switches) Posted: 08 Jun 2019 05:35 PM PDT I'm looking for a remote-style device for a user that can only use one hand. Supported devices with Switch Control don't seem to be documented anywhere. I know about AbleNet but it's not in the form factor I need and I know bluetooth keyboards work because that's what we're currently using. However I also know my Steelseries Nimbus controller does NOT work so I can't just use any bluetooth device as a switch. All we need is a 4 way direction pad, and ideally at least one button. Is there a list of supported switches? Do generic bluetooth media remotes work or do I specifically need something that emulates a keyboard? If anyone has any single handed bluetooth remote and can help me check I'd appreciate it:

While I can delete their account from appearing as one I can switch to, it was, somehow as I helped him do this, saved in my keychain or something because now my face unlocks his account. I think its saved on the iOS or Apple side hence asking here and not on the Instagram FAQ etc. It's not a problem between us I just think its weird and want it purged. [link] [comments]  | ||
