    iPad - Tap To Wake?

    I have an iPad (not Pro/Air/Mini). Since I also have an iPhone XS, I have been very annoyed that I have to press the home button or the power button to wake my iPad instead of just tapping the screen, like I've been used to for around a year. The only time I ever use the home button is to wake the device, since I use the swipe gestures to close apps, switch apps, etc. Is there any way to enable tap to wake on a home button model iPad?

    After I found that, on my new iPad Air (2019), the switch for Text Forwarding wasn't on, I turned that on. However, my issue is that I still only see messages that I've sent out and not received from. And only one contact seems to be consistent. I've rebooted the iPad, disabled and reenabled iMessage, and yet still no change. Any other advice?

    Lesser known iPad apps?

    I'm looking for apps which remain undiscovered due to the presence of the more popular ones. I have so far discovered two which are pretty good ( not the best, but still good).

    Infinite Painter - something you'd get if you mixed Procreate+ Tayasui sketches. Love their collection of brushes and the overall UI is good as well.

    Flexcil - PDF annotation app which is quite helpful for students like me. I use my iPad for reading and taking notes on a daily basis and I honestly love this app. It's so fluid, has almost every feature that I need and honestly I've never had a problem with this app.

    Which apps according to you guys are the "underdogs"?

    iPad pro 9.7, is there a second generation?

    I'm new to the iPad scene and I find it super convoluted and confusing. I've made it as far as to understand that there are two iPad 9.7's, one is Pro and the other isn't.

    I'm looking to use Lightroom so I've decided to go with the Pro 9.7.

    Now I'm having trouble keeping track of which generation we are currently on. I'm looking at refurbs and people selling them on eBay and they are all saying "9.7 pro first generation".

    Is there a second generation of the 9.7 Pro that would be better? Do they not sell them anymore?

    Yet another unresponsive iPad Pro 12.9" 2018 model.

    My screen keeps getting unresponsive to the point where it is almost unusable (5-8 taps for 1 to register and you can just forget about sliding your finger and double taps etc).

    I have an Apple Pencil 2nd gen but I do not have a case. I had this issue before the pencil as well.

    It fixes itself after a reboot but it ALWAYS comes back.

    Is this something I just have to live with? My old iPad 2 never had this issue and that was 1/5 of the price. Ive tried a bunch of things but the only thing that temporarily fixes it is a reboot. What do I do?

    Replacement iPad Pro 11” slow charging indicator

    I just received a replacement iPad Pro 11" from Apple. It's doing something strange, it doesn't work with all USB A to C leads and when it does work. I plug in the lead and it takes a few seconds for the indicator to show it's charging. Is this normal. My old iPad Pro 11" just showed it instantly. There isn't anything wrong with this replacement is there. It is actually a few seconds about 4 seconds sometimes 5. I have tried different chargers, same outcome.

    DON’T buy the smart folio. This is what it looks like after a few months of normal use (always in my sleeve except when using it). Apple refused to replace it. Ridiculous for a $100 product.

    What iPad and what storage size should I buy for college?

    This fall I will be a second-year at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and I'm looking to purchase an iPad over the summer for the next few years of my college career. I'm a communication studies major, but will possibly switch to advertising or journalism, so nothing too major to begin with. I want an iPad generally to just take notes in class to save paper and resources. I also work with our school's news and sports show so I'll probably end up using it for something related to that as well, maybe recording audio, I'm not quite sure. I won't be using it for editing since I have desktops provided by the school and I'm not about to pay $20/month for Adobe Premiere on my laptop, haha. I'm a big fan of the continuity of Apple products so that's a reason I want to stick with iPad. Do y'all have any recommendations for what type of iPad to buy and what kind of storage works for you? I'm willing to doll out the money for the 128 GB+, but I really wouldn't like to if I have to. I spend the .99 cents a month for 50GB of iCloud as well. Would 32 GBs work or is that too small?Also, what are your opinions of the Apple Pencil? I know this is a lot, haha, but any help would be wonderful!!

    I'm goding to make it stort: I am studiyng physics at univerity and I want to be able to use an iPad Pro to take notes. What i want to be able to do is to use an app to both Write text, and also draw in it a second later. I also want the notes to be able to be easily exported to PDF and preferably connect to my Dropbox account. It should be easy to manage folders or tags on different documents. I have tried the built in "Notes" app, but it didnt really fit my needs. Any other tips? ANything is appreachiated alot! Thank you.

    Hi all! Looking for some recommendations for keyboards, I won't be using it super frequently and I'm not super picky on it being Bluetooth or directly connected. Ideally I'm looking for something similar to the Smart Keyboard folio from apple, but less costly. Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you!
