- Smithsonian Channel 4K - in a series of tests I conducted this evening, I have found that their 4K streams on ATV is vastly inferior to the same 4K stream played through the 4K fire TV stick. I know it's strange. I just found out.
- I control volume using my (analog, no hdmi) receivers’s IR remote. Is it possible to make my Siri remote control it instead?
- Is Apple still upgrading iTunes Movie libraries to 4K when you buy a 4K Apple TV?

It detects the up and down signals from the Pioneer A-30 receiver's IR remote and implies I can now use my Siri remote to control its volume... But it doesn't do anything. I read when the 4K apple TV was released, those that bought it had their Movie libraries upgraded to 4K version of the films they had previously bought. | TV app is playing the right content from the wrong source Posted: 30 May 2019 07:21 PM PDT I am currently watching through Frasier on Amazon prime with no ads. Often times in the TV app it will know which episode I'm on, but it will want to open it in Hulu which has ads. I'll manually open it in prime and it will be fine in the TV app for a few days and then it will switch back to wanting to open in Hulu. Any way to force it to open in prime? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 30 May 2019 05:52 PM PDT So I'm running a plex server which I know the general consensus in the community is to use infuse but since it's hosting for me and a few neighbors and family I'm sorta stuck in where I am. But the question I've got is trying to encode some of the hvec 4K movies to something that appleTV can decode. I ran a file through handbrake but the input file was 40gb and the output file was 4. Something doesn't fee quite right. Is there something I'm not getting if I'm using the preset handbrake has for appleTV 2160p60 HEVC? [link] [comments]  |
