| iPhone 8+ Cracked/Black screen Posted: 24 Apr 2019 07:37 PM PDT Hi everyone, my iPhone 8+ cracked a few weeks ago and I neglected to fix it and a couple days go the screen completely shut off. The phone still works as I can receive calls and alert noises but it will not connect to computer, it just a couple subtle vibrations when connected. I've gone to best buy and ATT and they say they can't fix the screen without restoring the phone and I would like to keep my data as I have some concert videos and other things on there that I hadn't backed up on iTunes yet. Is there any way to back these things up or does anyone know the problem as to why it doesn't read on my computer? Any help is appreciated, thanks. [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone 7 Plus: touch screen glitch issues Posted: 24 Apr 2019 04:10 PM PDT Hey everybody! I just bought an iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 12.1.4) on eBay and it's been having issues where I'll tap somewhere but the phone will seem to glitch and press somewhere else, sometimes rapidly. (Example, texting someone, but before I finished tapping the letters, it'll glitch out and press send or exit out of that text window despite me not being close to that area) I don't have a cover over the screen, nor is the screen broken or wet. I reset the entire phone but I still have that problem. Looking around, it seems to be a driving/sensing lines issue that's physical since resetting didn't fix it. The seller is denying the phone ever having any issues and these glitches happen randomly through the day where it's hard to screen record to prove what I'm saying if I have to contact eBay to dispute. The seller said the only issue with the phone was a few scratches on the back. But when I received it, the SIM card was invalid and constantly failing with a minute or two of service (despite the point of me buying this phone was that the phone provider matched the SIM). I wouldn't mind everyone's input on that touch issue along with the SIM issue (the touch issue being the primary concern since I don't know if it's common to not use the SIM provided) and if I should possibly just return this phone. Posted: 24 Apr 2019 05:50 AM PDT As I said the phone has an issue with the microphone I believe, but it's gone on for a few weeks. I've contacted the provider, and got some helpful info just confirming basic facts of the case. The speaker is greyed over, it apparently works with some headphones though. Very poor even then. The other issue is that the phone crashes (turns off) when in use, and boot up time is abnormally long. Once done, WiFi is not working. Instead of an switch on/off in settings; it is just off with no option to turn on. It normally takes 1-3 reboots to return to normal. Hopefully if anyone can give info on said issues and if have occurred before with other phones. Thanks for reading! [link] [comments]  |

One day all of my contacts deleted from my phone and I can't call/facetime or text people out of state. I didn't change a thing.
