I recently bought a brand new iPhone 8 Plus and everything was going well but when I got everything set up, I tried the Lightning Earpods that came with it and it just did not work. I opened up Spotify, I plugged my earphones in and heard a beep sound (Not really sure what this is). Other than the beep, the music just plays on the built-in speakers. I updated my software, I tried cleaning the Earpods, and I've tried to reset my phone just in case it might be a bug, but nothing has worked so far. I've tried multiple safe things I found on the internet to no avail. Being a gamer, I rely on the communications app Discord heavily and it would suck for me if I had to buy another pair of earphones. Has anyone experienced this before? | Texts disappeared? iPhone 6s, iOS 12.2 Posted: 24 Apr 2019 01:03 AM PDT Yesterday all my old texts disappeared, meaning the ones not sent that day disappeared. The conversations were still there but only showed the most recent texts. I shut my phone down and turned it on again and all the messages were gone except for the ones sent yesterday, meaning I lost all of my group chats etc. I tried turning iMessages on and off and force resetting but nothing's working :( I didn't delete them or anything, I just looked at my phone yesterday and they were gone. I don't know if texts regularly backup because I don't actively make backups...please help! [link] [comments]  |

| Problem adding passes to wallet Posted: 23 Apr 2019 11:55 AM PDT I'm on iOS 12.2 and I'm having a problem adding my cinema tickets to my wallet. I'm using an iPhone 7 Plus and I'm in the UK. I've never had this problem before adding my Cineworld tickets to my wallet. The attached picture is what pops up in safari once I try to add to my wallet. | How can I view the thumbnail of an HEIC file on Windows? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 05:41 PM PDT Hi everyone I have an Android and my wife has an iPhone. We have 2 young children so every once in a while (like every few years) I sit down, compile all of our photos, organize and sort them and then upload them to somewhere where we can all share and view them. I am now having difficulty viewing photos taken on my wife's iphone. They are HEIC files. I've downloaded the codecs to be able to actually view them when I open the file, but I still cannot see the image in the thumbnail. This is crucial because it allows me to weed out the pictures like screenshots and whatever else my wife takes pictures of that nobody else needs or wants to see. Is there a way I can make these appear in the thumbnail? Currently its just a generic image icon. [link] [comments]  |

My younger son, who is on our family sharing plan, sometimes gets money for the app store that he wants to spend on in-game purchases. We applied the iTunes cards to my wife's account, but when he makes purchases is takes it off our credit card on file. | Posted: 23 Apr 2019 06:40 AM PDT [iPhone 7+, iOS 12.2] I try to obey the hands-free law in Georgia. I leave Waze open which keeps the phone unlocked. Occasionally, I'll have the need to send a text message. In the good old days (up until the 12.2 update I think) I could just say:
I would speak the body of the text message and Siri would usually get it right, Siri asks if I want to send, I say yes. Message sent, no car crashes, everyone wins. Now

| Retrieving data from an old, dead 5s? Posted: 23 Apr 2019 12:07 AM PDT A few years back I dropped my old iPhone 5s on the ground and couldn't get it to turn back on again. I tried everything and contacted support and still couldn't get it to work. I forgot about it until recently, and was wondering if there's any way to retrieve the data/photos on that phone. Would it require manually taking out parts since it doesn't turn on? (Sorry, I'm not very techy so I don't know the correct terms to use!) I never connected it to iCloud at the time or did any backups, which I regret, so I can't do it that way. [link] [comments]  |
