Posted: 31 Mar 2019 10:15 AM PDT Pretty much what it says on the tin. I love my iPhone X. It's like a handheld computer, and it's the most capable phone I've ever had. However, very occasionally, I'm talking about a couple times every month tops, it'll spontaneously disable itself for one minute. Usually when it's in my pocket so I figured that was somehow knocking something even though it seemed a little odd. However, I noticed that for a few of the times, it'll be on a table where there's absolutely no way anyone or anything could've touched it. I usually only find out when my music (via wireless headphones) cuts out. It's not really an issue but it's super odd. Has anyone else had it happen? I've heard of ghost touch but mine doesn't appear to have that. Plus this is super rare and ghost touch is, if I understand correctly, a near constant problem. [link] [comments]

2 Annoying Voice dictation glitches... Posted: 30 Mar 2019 06:34 PM PDT I use voice dictation a lot with my iPhone. Has anyone noticed a strange glitch that happens more often than not... ...what happens is after you have initiated a voice dictation and finished what you're saying and press the microphone button to end the microphone, it will write the words you said TWICE in the field that the cursor is in. So then you have to go back and erase one of the streams it wrote. Also, a problem that has been around for years, what I referred to as a "beep delay", that occurs with Bluetooth headphones. AirPods do not have this problem but all other Bluetooth headphones experience anywhere between 3 to 5 second delay from the time you press the voice dictation button until the time you're able to actually speak into the microphone forward to receive words. All android phones do not experience this strange phenomenon, it seems to be exclusive to iPhones. [link] [comments]
Is wireless charging causing poor battery life? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 11:20 PM PDT Not sure why but since I started using a wireless charger my battery seems to not last as long, and my battery capacity is sitting at 96%. I can't get this phone to last me a day, and usually it drops fast when I use the phone for a while. Anyone experience issues like this from their wireless charger? I would also like to mention how I will sometimes take my phone on and off the wireless charger, do you think this is harmful and I should leave it to charge ? [link] [comments]
Tap or wake or raise to wake ? Posted: 30 Mar 2019 07:15 PM PDT Which do you guys prefer and why ? I went from tap to wake x to raise to wake because the phone feels way more futuristic if you have 0 problems with Face ID . It's really clean. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Mar 2019 06:09 PM PDT Hey Reddit, So yesterday my dumb butt miraculously dropped my iPhone XR, speakers first, into my bowl of cereal. I wiped the affected area with a damp-ish lens cleaner (not a great I know, I panicked). I forgot about the incident until today when I noticed that the speaker was not sounding like it should. The right speaker sounds kinda grainy. I am really freaked out. The apple help page says to run tap water over the affected area but I'm worried that will make it worse. . Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to clean it? Update: Figured out that my right speaker is actually fine it was just very loud. However, my left speaker doesn't work at all, which is why my speakers sounded so weird. [link] [comments] |
