Your carrier may pay to fix your broken watch. Posted: 31 Jan 2019 10:20 PM PST I cracked the screen of my S3-LTE about a month ago, and the screen became unresponsive. Fixing it is $289, and I didn't want to pay that much, so I was just going to leave it while I considered what to do. I contacted t-mobile service to cancel my watch data plan, and the agent offered to reimburse me for the repair if I kept the plan. Not sure if that's a fluke or a policy, but keep that in mind if your watch is broken. I had no apple care or other protection plan. They must do the calculation that it's better to keep getting the monthly data fee. [link] [comments]
Something really embarrassing happened last night because of my Apple Watch Posted: 01 Feb 2019 06:27 AM PST I was with a few friends having our weekly FIFA get together and we were all having fun and talking about the things that guys do, you know... Girls, farts, swearing etc. Suddenly I hear my apple watch talking to me asking me if I wanted to leave a message. I panicked and pressed the red button straight away... It turns out my Apple Watch had accidentally called my boss from 4 years ago and I had been recording me and my friends for 7 minutes straight and sent it to his answer machine. How did this happen? He definitely heard some messed up stuff in those 7 minutes I'm sure. He text me 20 minutes later saying ''Ummm, did you mean to leave me a 7 minute voice message?'' I just ignored the message and deleted it and pretended this never happened, maybe he will think I have changed phone or something. I honestly don't know how it happened, it was just on my wrist the whole time. So please, be aware that this can happen to anyone. [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 Jan 2019 10:40 AM PST This morning, I left the house in a hurry and noticed that my iPhone was left behind. How did I notice this? Looking at my watch to see a red iPhone symbol at the top, staring back at me, almost mockingly. How difficult would it be to buzz my wrist the second my iPhone is out of Bluetooth range of my S4? I realize that the solution is simple...don't forget your phone. However, I was rushing and overslept and things happen. [link] [comments]
Possible bug with Pandora and Apple Watch s3? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 08:07 AM PST I noticed this shortly after I updated to watchOS 5.1.3. It may have started before this but I can not be sure. Heck, it could be that this was always this ugly. This is what I see when I play Pandora music on my phone. I noticed it when I hooked up my phone to my truck radio but this screenshot is taken sans radio interface so it isn't the radio interfacing with the phone screwing things up. I added a photo of the Spotify interface showing a nice clean "now playing". Any Ideas? [link] [comments]

Is it safe to use my iPad charger to charge my Apple Watch? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 08:27 AM PST If so, does it charge faster than using the 5W small cube charger that came with the watch? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 02:57 AM PST Was I just dreaming it, or am I using Maps on my watch wrong? Once upon a time there was a way to see map view whilst navigating however that has been replaced by turn by turn. Do I need to turn something on? [link] [comments]
February Challenge popped up but disappered Posted: 31 Jan 2019 11:07 PM PST I just clicked but it disappeared. Where to find it again? [link] [comments]
Digital Crown and side button suddenly stopped working Posted: 01 Feb 2019 06:37 AM PST Hi, I just bought my AWS4 in SSGold yesterday and it was working complete fine until this morning when the Digital Crown and the side button just completely stopped working. I couldn't get to the dock or to any of my apps, scrolling did not work as well. Customization on the watch faces was also a no-go. I paired and unpaired my watch about 3 times until the Digital Crown/side button finally worked, setting it up as a new watch (although when it prompted me to press the Digital Crown after initial set up, it automatically took me to the watch faces without me ever pressing or even touching the Digital Crown). It's working okay now, so far anyway, but I was wondering if I this has happened to some of you before, is this something I should be worried about in the future/should I exchange for a new watch? Thanks! P.S. I did update to watch OS 5.1.3 and did sleep with the AW on. Button was pressing fine, didn't feel sticky, just did not work. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 06:20 AM PST Just got an S4 SBSS two days ago and I woke up this morning with an alarm going off on my watch. I tried turning the alarms off on my watch and on my phone — it would not stop playing and is incredibly annoying. My watch was on silent mode but no vibrations, it was left charging over night but I put it on as the alarm sounded. Now this could be some new user operating error, but I googled around and have no idea why it happened. Does anyone else have experience of the "bedtime" function of the alarm clock triggered and playing on your watch nonstop? Siri couldn't turn it off and I had to hard reboot. Pls help. Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:01 AM PST Usually it responds to the slightest bump on my bedside table, and sometimes simply when I'm walking around in my room. But sometimes it just doesn't turn on at all, even with me shaking it. Does anyone else's watch do this? [link] [comments]
Which sleep tracking app should I use? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 11:29 PM PST I've noticed there's a couple different sleep tracking apps with a high amount of reviews and ratings. Which one should I choose to go with? What do you guys recommend and why? [link] [comments]
Will my s4 work as a phone if my iPhone is turned off and not with me? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 03:25 AM PST Tech support says that my phone doesn't need to be with me but it needs to be turned on. Somewhere on earth. I asked if that's the case what's the point of an lte watch? Pretend I didn't have an iPhone. Could I use my watch to make calls/text/emails etc? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 02:21 AM PST I bought a series 4 last week. I did not get a challenge for January but i figured that was normal since I did not have the watch in the beginning of January. When I woke up this morning I thought I was going to get a challenge for February. But in the awards section in the iPhone app there is not challenge for February. Is it normal that it takes a while for the challenge to appear? edit: a video of my awards screen https://youtu.be/l1l2-7gtiAU [link] [comments]
Hey so now I’ve had the s4 watch for 4 days I’m in love !!! Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:11 PM PST I posted recently saying if having a Apple Watch was worth it . Well I was WRONG this thing is a beauty once you learn how to use it to its potential. But I do have a few more questions regarding tips. Like a idiot I was walking around using the voice control to text ppl back lifting my arm right up to my mouth until my friend said you can let your arm hang down and do it lol. He showed me that writing way of responding which I find hard even with the 44mm . Now when I use my wireless headphones and listen to Spotify or Apple Music my watch will show what's playing with the screen on permanently. Is there a way too just have the watch face permanently on or always showing ? When it comes to apps I bought streaks and fantastical 2 which are awesome . Any other good productivity paid apps you would recommend? I'm on the free trial of FITiv pro which is a amazing workout app which I think will end up purchasing. Now I see these apps for the ekg feature that costs 30 dollars or some that require you to buy separate products from them before even using them . Any good heart monitor or ekg paid apps that are great for the price ? Lastly, I have the silver s4 44mm watch and I'm growing tired of the plain white band. I just purchased the black MIFA leather band but my worries is that the silver and black may not look too great . Any recommendations on what kind of bands (sporty preferably on amazon that are of quality that would look good with a silver Apple Watch ⌚️ [link] [comments]

I love our beagle, but she nearly died this morning Posted: 31 Jan 2019 09:35 AM PST My charger for my Series 4 Nike+ edition is on my bedside table. Woke up this morning, went to shower, and when I came out of the bathroom, my watch was laying on the floor. I thought, that's weird...until I saw the "buckle" end of the band. I knew instantly what had happened. Our beagle likes to get up on the bed while I'm showering and until this morning, she'd never touched anything on the nightstand on my side of the bed. My wife's side, however, she's messed with every since we got her nearly 2 years ago. She's chewed up multiple pairs of glasses, tissues, etc. I guess this was karma coming home to roost on me. LOL. Anyway, my heart sank. Yes, I have AppleCare+, but dammit, this watch is less than 2 weeks old! I picked it up expecting the worst, but thankfully, she only chewed on the buckle end of the band. The watch body was completely untouched (and pristine). Whew! I got lucky, I guess. At least it's only the band and not the watch itself. Still, I loved that anthracite/black Nike band, so I'm off to get another one. Sidenote: I stopped by the Apple Store just to inquire if there was anything I could do short of buying a new band. The guy talked to the manager and came back and said the manager said to go ahead and replace the band. I was elated, but that was short lived. He asked for the receipt and I pulled up my email and mentioned that I got it at Best Buy. He stopped me and said, unfortunately, we can only replace them if the watch is purchased from Apple. Bummer. I'm not upset about it at all and I understand, but it still kinda sucks to be me. Dog tax: Our beagle Carly [link] [comments] |
