- Was charging and it said 71% and just after I disconnected from the charger it displayed 73%, restarted immediately and got 76% turned the screen off and on now it displays 75%
- Sometimes the phone just hangs up and requires a full restart, did it twice until now
- Also sometimes it lags in animations.

iOS 12.1.2, wtf?

Face ID stopped working. 1 year old phone

Yesterday my face ID suddenly stopped working. It was a bit slow and then the circle just kept spinning, so I had to put in my code.

Now it does that every time. I tried to set up an alternate appearance, and I also completely deleted in and started over. It won't 'recognize' my face, it just says to lower the phone and keep my face in the frame. I've tried several times.

Anyone?

iPhone X screen bug?

For the past two days my phone's been acting weird, I can't move apps around nor can I put them in folders. When I drag it it'll let me move it for a bit before forcing it back into place. Also, in some instances I can't press the buttons on screen for certain applications. For example, when the phone has 20% battery, a notification pops up saying so but I can't dismiss it by pressing the close button, I have to turn the phone off. I haven't cracked the screen or dropped the phone, I've also tried hard resetting a few times and even resetting all of my settings. Any ideas?

While surfing through reddit I came across some 'grey static images', which apparently can be used (by turning your brightness very low in a very dark room) to check damage on your OLED screen. Right, I saved the image and tried it.

Well, looks like my 3 week old iPhone has some issues. [I don't have another device to take a picture of the screen and show it to you, so I'll to be as descriptive as possible lol). The grey image, under test conditions, appears as having uneven brightness throughout the screen; some lighter or darker horizontal lines are also noticeable. Some areas are brighter than others. Right at the two top corners by the notch, it is considerably darker than the rest.

However this is noticeable only in a very dark room , turning the brightness slightly up makes the screen evenly bright.

Oh and having True Tone actually made it worse, so turn that off while trying this.

I am attaching the grey image I used to test this.

(turn off True Tone and night shift before trying; it needs to be pitch black in the room).

I use a Supcase UB Pro for over a year, it's protected my phone well -- the phone appears mint inside there. But the integrated screen protector is plastic -- it scratches quite easily and has a fair amount of glare. None of deal breakers for me, the protection the case provides makes up for those shortcomings. But I'd still like to find a rugged, full case that has an integrated *glass* screen protector. If anyone has some ideas can you post them? Thanks.

iPhone X issue question

Sometimes the phone screen will just go black, the loading icon will show for about 3 seconds, and then show the lock screen, and everything's fine again. This happens about once per week. It's not a major issue, but does anyone know why this happens?

Hey Guys,

As of the last 3-4 days, my phone has constantly been lagging whenever I go on any apps, I have to turn it off and back on but tehn 10 seconds later it does it again. I've only had it since around when it was released brand new, any ideas how to fix it?

I've tried powering it off multiple times now and left it for up to 30 minutes but that hasn't fixed it either. All apps updated and have the latest software version.

Battery capacity decreasing fast

Hey all,

I've just bought an iPhone X from Swappa. I've had it for about two weeks now. When I initially got the phone, the battery capacity was at 96%, within this two week time frame, the capacity is now at 92%. Is this normal ? Not sure if I should be worried at how fast it's draining?. Also, the previous owner claimed to have had it since launch.
