iPhone 6s+ cracked unresponsive screen? Posted: 19 Jan 2019 07:28 PM PST The screen still looks good, except for a large recent crack on the top left that made that entire area unresponsive to touch. Is there any way I can fix this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Jan 2019 07:14 AM PST This last December, I traded in my leased iPhone 7 for the X. Yesterday, I received an email that my iPhone had been "found" immediately followed by another email saying Lost Mode had been enabled on it. My ex bf then started calling me and said someone found my phone (his number was apparently still listed as the contact number on the "lost" screen). He then said they were able to describe what I looked like and my profession from the photos in the phone (medical profession). I went into the setting on my current phone and looked at the phones in my Apple ID and it's not there. However, it is listed as my phone in the Find my iPhone app and I can see its last known location. When i go to remove it, it says it is under my Apple ID. I've tried to erase it but it needs to connect to WiFi. If I remove it from my find my iPhone, they won't have my Apple ID, but they will have access to everything inside my phone. I've called the sprint store that I took it to. The manager said she would call me back in a couple minutes but that was yesterday and she has yet to call me back. I called their national hotline but they just apologized for my "frustration" and said they don't know what to do because someone should have cleared the phone when I turned it in. I even reached out on twitter but they also don't have any solutions besides that I should change my passwords. What can I do about this? [link] [comments] |
Messages keep going to friend's email, no text option available Posted: 19 Jan 2019 04:18 PM PST I only want to send a text message to my friend but the message keeps getting sent to the icloud email address. I tried going to contacts and messaging just the number only but when I click the number and send a message it goes to the email again. When I press and hold the message there is no option to send as text. My friend has no data at the moment, and I need to send a text and ONLY a text. What a great company apple is to make it hard for my phone to send a text to another phone. edit: Current workaround was to create two separate contacts - I just have one labeled as "friends phone" and the other as "friends email address". They were two separate things to begin with I'm not sure why apple decided I would want to combine them and then only send it to my friends email. [link] [comments] |
How to I receive a better Apple news feed? Posted: 19 Jan 2019 04:42 PM PST I'm sick and tired of always seeing Trump this, Trump that, on my damn news feed! I've gone into the News app multiple times, and I've disliked CNN, Washington Post, Top Stories, Trending or whatever. I CANNOT STOP THIS CRAP FROM BEING PUSHED ONTO MY FEED! I've got in the News app and favored, Gizmodo, 9to5Mac, Fox News. Uh, I've even tried subbing Hacking, National Rifle Association, Fraud, Science, National Geographic. I cannot figure out how to stop this trash ass news feed! Like...I jokingly tried liking Fox and NRA to stop receiving Trump bashing news, but now I just want news that isn't political at all! I want good news to read! What can I do to stop this horrible news feed? [link] [comments] |

Jailbroken iPhone 6s on ios 9.3.5 keeps restarting and turning off Posted: 19 Jan 2019 05:30 AM PST Is there any way to save my brother's phone? The jailbreak is not working meaning that Cydia is not accessible. Even just being able to save the photos would be amazing. The phone is never on, it's always either turning on or off. My brother made no backups whatsoever of anything. Thank you for your help [link] [comments] |
