The only other iOS games that really hooked me were clash of clans (back in the day) and clash royale, which I gave up on after I hit the pay to win wall. I also tried supercells new game I can't remember the name, and I thought it was pretty shit.

I'm not sure if i want to play another moba on my phone. I tried Arena of Valor and I did not like The joystick controls.

    Any suggestions?

    A good mmo(rpg) loot-based game?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2019 07:39 AM PST

I need a new game to sink my time into, preferably one with an active community, loots are pretty much rng and have drop from even the common monsters, I'm also more of a party based player than single player

Been really enjoying New Star Soccer recently, but hate the freemium model, can anyone suggest any similar paid or free apps without this model?

Need a fun game for a toddler. Yes toddler. (Something like Mario Run)

    Posted: 17 Jan 2019 05:46 AM PST

My youngest daughter (20 months) really likes mario run. The other day to everyone's astounding she was seen jumping over Bowser beating him with an axe in remix 10... yes, a toddler did this... yes, we are still in awe...

The way I see it game needs a following:

    - simple start by touching something on a screen. No ads. She has no idea how to click away from those.

    - preferably something that can be played with nothing more than a one finger tap

    - portrait only, no landscape... she's still figuring out how to hold a phone properly in landscape mode

    - once you die you have to be able to restart with no more than a simple tap

    - toddler friendly game characters would help... I mean Mario games are cute... but no blood or gore please. No scary characters or monsters.

    - gotta be relatively easy to beat... frequent dying 10 seconds into the game will be labeled boring quite quick... Mario Run somehow got this figured out but even there I frequently get a phone to help once she becomes "ballon" to many times... :)

Anyways, she loves mario run (her favorite part is remix 10).

So , can someone here help out and suggest something else other than mario run that I can get her to play?

    Games like Solitairica

    Posted: 16 Jan 2019 04:49 PM PST

    Hi /r/iosgaming

Just wondering if there are any other titles similar to Solitairica in which it is:

    - Offline

    - Features card play without being a CCG

    - Puzzly in nature

    - Features RPG elements with leveling/skills/items etc.

I saw Card Crawl but it looked significantly different in the pics and short video on the appstore.

    Thanks All!

Looking for a new “time waster” game

    Posted: 16 Jan 2019 05:04 PM PST

I know Hearthstone is not technically a time waster but it was my go to smoke break game. Go outside, play a match or two then turn it off. I don't want to play Hearthstone anymore.

Does anyone have solid recommendations for a game that I can play daily and with a pick up and play type style. I enjoy strategy games and multiplayer/competitive games. I can answer any other questions to clarify if needed. Bottom line is I need a new game and what is your favorite one that fits my very general criteria? Thank you in advance!

[Survey] Motivations for Playing Mobile Games and Attitude Towards Mobile VR

    Posted: 16 Jan 2019 12:43 PM PST

    Hello Everyone!

I'm a Games Engineering student and currently conducting a survey for my thesis.

We want to find out about motivations for playing mobile games and attitudes towards mobile VR, with the goal of designing a mobile virtual reality (VR) game. Virtual Reality (VR) is a computer simulation where you interact with a 3D virtual environment.

Any comments on the survey structure or study are also appreciated, either in the comment box at the end of the survey, or as a comment on this post.

Your support will help me massively with my thesis.

The survey takes about 10 minutes.

Thank you so much for your time!
