    Welcome to our weekly stickied App thread! This is a new idea so please feel free to offer your feedback about this thread or the subreddit in general in the comments. As usual if you have a serious issue with the subreddit please contact the moderators directly.

    This thread is intended to help members of the /r/iphone community get informed about new apps that are out there. App developers may also use this thread to make users aware that their new app exists.

    Please sort comments by 'new' to find questions/information that would otherwise be buried.

    In this thread you can ask any iOS app related question that you may have. Anyone may offer advice on any issue.

    Two examples of potential questions could be; "How do I learn to code an app?", or "How is app pricing determined?"

    Developers, please include as much information about your app as possible, including size, price, release info, and anything else people request.

    We also have an official Discord Server you can join if you would like to discuss topic related to apps with other members of this sub.

    Finally, please stick to reddiquette and keep your comments on topic and substantive. Thanks for participating.

    Anyone who works in a metal workshop and owns a pair of Airpods knows this problem.

    Small metal fragments from filing or sawing collect on the case's magents and its rather annoying to clean.

    My iPhone 5 problem

    So I recently purchased a used iPhone 5. The listing said that it's battery was changed 4 month ago and it wasn't used after it. When i got it i noticed that the battery life was absolutely awful so i took it to a 3rd party repair shop to change the battery. He told me that the phone was heavily water damaged and it's possible that its drawing too much current and it isn't the batterys fault. He checked it and it wasn't the case so he just changed my battery. I was using my phone with its new battery and it lasted for much longer, but i noticed that the screen was bulging out at the corners. I was pretty sure that it was the battery and I couldn't believe it. It wasn't even a month old.

    So my question is: can it be the result of the water damage which could damage the motherboard or i just got a used/bad quality battery?

    (I'd also like to note that the previous battery wasn't swollen when he took it out)

    Should I download iOS 12.1.2 on iPhone 7?

    Currently on iOS 11. I really want to download it for the performance but I've read that some iPhone 7 users are having battery and WiFi issues which worries me. Would I at least be able to go back to iOS 11 if shit hits the fan?

    Beats X or Powerbeats 3?

    I am thinking about purchasing one of these two sets of earphones in the near future because I want something with a little more bass to fit my music and something with the W1 chip for easy pairing across my devices. I had a few questions about each. Are the beats X good to use in the gym? Because I can't find anything anywhere saying that they are sweat/water resistant. Also, the cable looks fairly long. Are they a comfortable pair of earphones to wear for a long listening day? Or does the cable make them heavy and annoying when hanging around your neck?

    Now about the Powerbeats. I read that they have fast fuel and have 12 hours of battery life. Are the 12 hours accurate? Or is that apple being optimistic with their battery usage numbers? And how good is charging on the Powerbeats 3?

    Also, if you guys could provide some of your own anecdotal experience, that would be great :D Sorry for the long post lol

    Used Siri to find out a song earlier but can’t remember what song it was? Go to the iTunes Store app and tap “More” on the bottom bar, tap the “Tones” bar, tap the menu button in the top right corner, and then select “Siri.” That will have a history saved of all the songs you have had Siri identify.

    iPhone XR, 8 or 8 Plus?

    Hi, I purchased the iPhone X before Christmas however it caused eye strain and headaches so I had to return it. I thought that it was probably caused by the OLED screen PWM. I was going to purchase the iPhone XR however have seen that some people are still getting eye strain from it and think it's possibly from the Faceid? I'm now not sure which phone to get because I don't want to have to return another one. If you had to pick between the iPhone XR, 8 or 8plus which one would you go for? Also if you have the iPhone XR does it cause you any problems? Thanks.

    How many apps do you guys have?

    With the amount of GB these devices have how many apps have you guys downloaded so far? I currently have 115 and I even have a folder dedicated to apps I test out and delete the ones I don't like. I admit I have a problem 🙃🙃

    I’m Screwed☹️ HELP!

    I recently bought an Sprint Iphone online. Prior to purchase I was aware that the phone had an iCloud still on it but the device was still fully functional. I bought it thinking I could remove the iCloud but was unlucky in doing so. When I bought the phone, I called Sprint to unlock it and found that the phone has an unpaid balance and that I would need to contact the original owner (which I won't do because I know they probably won't pay it). Now I'm trying to look for R-Sims to unlock the phone but each of them result in redoing an activation lock which won't work for me because I don't know the iCloud password and will be locked out of the phone forever. Is there something I could do to remove the iCloud and/or carrier unlock it to use the phone the way I want? Please help!

    iMessage | Read to Delievered.

    This is a bit complicated. I recently both reset my iphone settings and then synced my texts to icloud so that they would appear on both my ipad and iphone. A message I sent to my boyfriend, who has his read receipts on for me, appeared as "Read" on my phone. No timestamp. Just that. On my ipad it appeared as "Delivered". Next time I texted him it appeared as "Delivered" on both devices. My receipts for him are on and his for me are on. I've done a hard reset on both my ipad and iphone. imessages are sending from my phone number. Also, the "Read" is stuck. You know how the status of a message usually disappears once you send a new message? That lone "Read" remains. I'm almost wondering if the new texts sent via my icloud account, but I've switched settings so that they send from my number. Anyone have any advice?

    Random "HLSPlaylist" showing up in my music library? Is this a bug or should I worry about being hacked?

    I was looking through my playlists and I noticed something I haven't seen before -- something called HLSPlaylist, it's completely empty.

    What do I do with this? Should I be concerned about malware/hacking?

    I've had this issue for so long, and when I brought it up during an unrelated Apple store appointment, they just shrugged and said there's nothing I can do to fix it. Has anyone found a solution?

    iPhone X or Xs ?

    So I'm upgrading from a 6 (yea I know pretty big upgrade 5 years behind) and it seems as though iPhone X is getting phased out from apple like they made a mistake and are somehow trying to fix it by forcing people away from it.
