Posted: 16 Jan 2019 10:43 PM PST Any price/warranty/return policy difference from buying a new Macbook direct from Apple vs buying it from say Bestbuy or another authorized apple retailer? (in Canada) thanks [link] [comments] |
Need podcasts deleted for storage. Easiest way to do so? Posted: 16 Jan 2019 10:07 PM PST I've spent hours today trying to figure out easy way to clear storage on my Macbook Pro so that I can download Mojave (which I've heard will help me from having to do things like this so often with the storage optimization features). Realized that the easiest most brainless files to delete which will clear up the remaining 10GB and probably a lot more are all the podcasts that I let iTunes download through subscriptions. What's the easiest/quickest way to find all of these files in one place and get rid of them? [link] [comments] |
Keyboard cover for MacBook Pro 2018 Posted: 16 Jan 2019 02:29 PM PST Hello all, is it save to use keyboard cover with new MacBook Pro (2018)? I have mine for about a week, and it already shows signs of use - keys are shiny and oily... I heard keyboard cover could damage the screen - is it true? BTW. How to clean this greasy marks? Cheers! Any way to play that old game Nanosaur? Posted: 16 Jan 2019 07:36 PM PST That just popped into my head on my commute home from work. Just bought a MacBook Pro, figure that should be sufficient to run a 20 year old game. Would I need to use an emulator or something? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2019 05:28 PM PST Hello, the backlight on my 2017 MacBook Pro went out. Was quoted at around $600 to fix this issue.. my question is, should I fix this for $600 and hope for the best, or should I purchase the MacBook Air (older version for $999) along with AppleCare, so I am guaranteed 3 years at least... I'm just scared I'll spend $600 and it will die again in a year! Advice please! [link] [comments] |
Macbook pro 15" 2018 - Lid slightly misaligned to the right Posted: 16 Jan 2019 04:52 PM PST Hi there, I've bought my macbook pro 3 weeks ago from an apple agreed reseller in my home country. I've noticed that there was a problem with the lid; it's slightly misaligned to the right. It's unnoticeable if you see it at a normal distance but if you check it nearly, you can notice it's 0.5 - 1 mm to the right. I've wanted to return the macbook but unlike in apple stores, apple resellers don't have this option (we don't have apple stores in my country) and asked me to bring the macbook to repair it. Tbh, I don't trust "agreed resellers" since I'm 100% they're incompetent (at least in my country). I already have a bad experience with them since i had a keyboard problem with an old mac and they finished up scratching the retina screen and stating it came like that.. Any solution? It doesn't affect my macbook performance but I love perfectionism and I paid for a premium product.. Can I run Logic pro X on my macbook air 11 mid 2011 Posted: 16 Jan 2019 06:04 AM PST It's i7, 4GB, 256 SSD one. I don't want to buy anything that I won't run, especially that expensive SW. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Jan 2019 06:30 AM PST In addition to refurbishing (hardware) the thing ( as for a keyboard button that has fallen off and the rubber pads on the bottom ) and software . Restarting the thing to run good as new . May be a dumb question [link] [comments] |
