    Watch with a baby

    Posted: 23 Dec 2018 03:27 AM PST

It drives me nuts when, after an hour of walking around with a baby struggling to sleep in my arms, my S2 taps me to stand up. I get that my arm is stable relative to my body, but it can't detect my movement relative to the earth at all? And my phone, usually in my hand playing white noise, can't help out?

Ok, sorry, rant over. I love the Watch, but when it doesn't detect my movements it makes me question the point of the fitness / health tracking.

Pretty dissapointed with how series 4 tracks outdoors runs

    Posted: 23 Dec 2018 08:16 AM PST

I did the same workout wearing two devices: a Garmin 910xt on the right wrist and the Watch series 4 on the left. The GPS tracking was very poor if you compare it with the Garmin. Notice how the Watch resolved a loop I did intentionally around a fountain for testing both devices. I'll keep doing more tests but I am very dissapointed by now.

When i long press the button on the Watch and swipe right for the Medical ID. It shows other information than it shows on my iPhone. How do i charge this? The same information on both iPhone and Watch?

Minor question, is there any reason against buying Nike+ version?

    Posted: 22 Dec 2018 09:06 PM PST

While I'm still deciding whether to buy and which version should I go for, this comes across my mind.

My tentative thought is that, if Nike+ version has exclusive features (like watchface and bands), does it mean that the Nike version wins if I'm only choosing between Nike vs standard one?

    Am I missing something?

Just upgraded from a series 0 to a series 4. What new features do I probably not know about?

Can someone else use my Watch to take an ECG?

    Posted: 22 Dec 2018 06:45 PM PST

My mom has lately had some heart problems, she was recommended to buy a Series 4. While I can save up to buy her one, can she use my Apple Watch to take an ECG test? Or does my weight and height data affect the result if she takes it?

On my Apple Watch Series 4 box, it shows a white screen with black minute/hours hands, and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to change them from white to black on mine! Any thoughts guys?

I think I have found the best portable charger (no built-in battery)

Anyone loving the sport loop band? How do you stop it from getting thick on one side without making it uncomfortably tight?

[Question] My iPhone is in repair for 3 days. Will my Apple Watch still be able to track and sync my health data when the phone is back?

    Posted: 23 Dec 2018 03:57 AM PST

So my iPhone is undergoing a battery replacement, and I've been told it might take 3-5 days for it to be done with.

I'm still using my watch (airplane mode). When the phone is back, will I still be able to sync the previous days and continue my move streak?

My move streak is around 540 days so far, and I don't wanna lose it. I'm worried that since the watch is away, my phone would automatically stop the streak.

Why is Messages in iCloud not a feature of Apple Watch?

    Posted: 22 Dec 2018 02:09 PM PST

This just seems like a big omission. At the very least you'd think when you delete a message on iPhone that would sync with Apple Watch via Bluetooth. Anyone have any ideas or know for sure why iCloud doesn't sync messages with Apple Watch?

Is there any way to flawlessly use the calendar app? I wanted to see the dates for next year, is that possible?

    Posted: 23 Dec 2018 02:15 AM PST

It would be great if I could check which dates I'm free without having to open my phone.

Creating events via watch would be great too.

3 Lead ECG with Apple Watch

    Posted: 22 Dec 2018 08:27 AM PST

First let me say I am not a medical professional and Apple Watch is not designed to do this.... but it does appear it's possible to take a 3 lead ECG by putting your watch on your left leg then using your right finger on the crown (Lead II) then left finger (Lead III).

The results I've attached look very close to what I see from a professional ECG. This is no substitute for seeing a doctor, I just found it interesting. Anyone with ECG knowledge have an opinion?

    Swimming Laps?

    Posted: 23 Dec 2018 01:27 AM PST

Got a series 4 and I know it's water proof and I'd like to use it to keep track of my swim workout but idk how much I trust it... I've had apples water resistant phones since they have came out and have an X now but I still don't shower with the thing. Does anyone swim with their watch? I just need someone to boost my confidence

Apple Watch S4 -- Skin Irritation?

    Posted: 22 Dec 2018 09:15 PM PST

I have a S4 with a steel body and I'm getting a horrendous rash on my wrist but nowhere near the metal part of the watch. It seems to be isolated to the right side of my left wrist. It doesn't hurt, just itches and it's insanely red. I have an allergy to nickel and this doesn't feel like that.

I contacted Apple and they sent me to an Apple Store where they replaced the band two weeks ago. Fast forward to today and it's happening all over again.

Has anyone had this happen to them as well? How did you solve it? Should I try getting one of the bands that's not plastic/rubber/whatever?

Series 2 sports band is irritating my wrist - any good recommendations for 3rd party sports bands that are more breathable?

    Posted: 22 Dec 2018 08:05 PM PST

I've had my Apple Watch Series 2 with the standard Sports band for a couple years with no issue, but over the past few weeks I've noticed the bottom of my wrist has gotten irritated while wearing the watch. I also started a new exercise program during that time, where I'm sweating a ton more, so I'm thinking that may the issue.

Does anybody know of any good bands on Amazon to look into that are good for working out but maybe a big more breathable, which hopefully will get rid of this problem? I saw some recommendations for the sports loop, but I can only find that for the 44mm Series 4. Thanks!

Found my "lost" Apple Watch but it says offline on FindMyiPhone

    Posted: 22 Dec 2018 06:19 PM PST

I went out last night and lost my Apple Watch. I was devastated and upset so went to FindMyiPhone on my iPhone and clicked Lost Mode. It said some it connects to the Internet it will display my custom message and phone number.

I decided to retrace my steps and ended up at the last pub, it had been put behind the bar so I found it again. Went straight back to FindMyiPhone and the watch was offline. It said pending action needs and Internet connection. So got home and Apple Watch connected to Internet but still it says offline on FindMyiPhone.

Have a done something wrong? Is my watch going to be traced again? I'm confused.

I am a Spotify Premium member and want to download some music to my AppleWatch so that I can go running without my phone. I have read that it is not possible as of now, but I don’t want to convert to Apple Music solely because of this. Are there any apps that will allow me to download my playlists?

I am a Spotify Premium member and want to download some music to my AppleWatch so that I can go running without my phone. I have read that it is not possible as of now, but I don't want to convert to Apple Music solely because of this. Are there any apps that will allow me to download Spotify playlists? To clarify, I have the Series 3 (GPS), without LTE.

I have noticed some converting applications online, but most cost $40, which seems pricey for only 2GB of available downloading space to the watch.

Any solutions for downloading Spotify music?

    S2 resale value.

    Posted: 22 Dec 2018 04:48 PM PST

I'm currently selling my used Series 2 42mm Space Gray aluminum for around $165 + $7.25 shipping on eBay before I upgrade to a S4 44mm LTE.

Is this too much to ask? The watch has no warranty on it by the way. watch photo

NPR station on Apple Watch Radio

    Posted: 22 Dec 2018 04:21 PM PST

I have a series 4 Apple Watch and am a newbie. I listen to NPR on it by selecting the Radio setting and then selecting NPR (as opposed to ESPN or CBS). The NPR station it presents me with varies quite often. Sometimes I am presented with WGBH, sometimes WBUR, sometimes NHPR (new hampshire public radio) and sometimes others.

Is there any way to specify which NPR station to listen to?

I don't have a subscription to Apple Music.
