| 4K Youtube and Netflix stutter (frame rate). Posted: 22 Dec 2018 07:06 PM PST The majority of the time everything looks fine. But when I play a few things on Netflix (planet earth) and some youtube channels on the youtube app, the framerate appears to stutter or drop. When I watch the same material on the native apps on my LG TV I don't have the issue with the same content. How should I go about fixing this? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 22 Dec 2018 04:53 PM PST I see all of these headlines from 2017 claiming that the Google Photos app "finally adds Airplay support", but I can't see the icon anywhere in the app. Found a thread on Google's forum asking the same question, and the respondent just said "use screen sharing". | Box Sets Incorrectly Sorted by Name Posted: 23 Dec 2018 03:47 AM PST Just bought the Resident Evil Box Set. It's on special with some in 4K and Dolby Atmos. Great deal for $29.99. However, it's extremely frustrating that this is sorted by name and not in chronological order. I realise there might be some sorting issues with a franchise where there have been reboots and prequels, but for box sets that are clearly in chronological order they should be sorted as such. | Adding an Apple TV 3rd Gen to HomeKit Posted: 22 Dec 2018 01:30 PM PST Greetings, Couldn't find a definite answer online. I'm using HomeKit with my Apple TV 4th gen as a hub. I only have a few lights which all work fine w/ my phone, pad, and MacBook. I've recently come across my old 3rd gen Apple TV and have set it up in my spare bedroom/ office. It still works great. Using AirPlay I can play stuff to either Apple TV from my devices. With the HomeKit app I can play and pause the 4th gen Apple TV and I'm sure more as I learn, but I can't seem to find a way to add the 3rd gen to HomeKit. It's not a hub. Can it not be an accessory? | RaiPlay Apple TV App Not Working? Posted: 22 Dec 2018 11:09 AM PST Hello all. Any chance anyone here uses the RaiPlay app on their Apple TV? It hasn't been working for me for over a week now. When I go to play a show it simply shows me the first frame and won't play the program. This is true on both the ATV in my kitchen and bedroom. It's not my wi-fi as all other ATV apps work with no issues. I've contacted Rai on Facebook with no response so far. If I don't hear back in a week I will email them. The Apple TV app has not been updated for over a year so I'm worried this will not be fixed anytime soon. (The ATV app desperately needs a redesign, but that's another issue.) [link] [comments]  |
| iTunes and App Store sign in problems on Apple tv Posted: 22 Dec 2018 01:28 PM PST So i'm trying to sign in to my parents apple tv and every time i sign in with the correct password and email it sends me back to the sign in screen. It does this on a loop and i can't sign in: I've tried my mom's email, dad's email, and even mine but it won't sign in. i've tried the reboot, checked to see if it was up to date, made sure the time and date are correct, and unplugged and re plugged in the box, but nothings is working. | Is it still possibly to stream music from iPhone to AppleTV without internet connection? Posted: 22 Dec 2018 11:49 AM PST Hello. I purchased a cottage where I will not have an internet connection (I will have it on my phone). I want to be able stream music from my iPhone to the receiver & speakers. I read a post from 2014 that it is possible if I setup a local router, just curious if that is still the case. I want the range to be around 30'.
