Posted: 27 Dec 2018 06:08 AM PST Hello, Just got an iPad (all my devices are Android) and I was trying to find a way to quickly access the WiFi networks. On Android for example, from the control center if I long press on the WiFi Icon it brings me to the WiFi settings where I can chose a Network. Is there such things with iOS ? The worst is that the control center was moved to the top right like an iPhone X. I really don't like that even on home button equipped iPads, there is still the stupid gesture control. After I allow it the "Start Protecting" button start to flash between the original text and a new one labeled"Starting". It stays in that mode forever. Is the tweak working? | Posted: 27 Dec 2018 05:47 AM PST Hi, my GF just got a 2nd hand iphone 6s which works great but the battery health is in service mode which has a reading of 77% and needs replacement. we went to apple store for the $29 battery replacement but there was no looner phone and it wil take them 2 weeks and no other spare phone to use is way no option for her, then we decided to grab the opportunity to ask same price replacement for the battery it seems working good. The question is what i know ios 11.3 once battery is replaced app battery status will not work but on her case last battery status per app still shows but the health status still shows service and once we tap the percentage is "-" is there any chance that the batery health status will give us a percentage do i need to reset the whole phone. UPDATE: after the battery replacement just made a reset of settings only but battery status per app still shows from the last battery and health status is still "-" [link] [comments]  | ||

Every time I go to view a video, the video itself goes to an Airplay device somewhere when I'm not connected to anything whatsoever. Turned everything off I'm linked with and it always happens. And on Snapchat, I get the notification that I've screen recorded a chat/photo several times when the recording function isn't enabled too. The only answer I found was a link to a Reddit post about UBER app/driver accessing your phone and using this. I'm going to reset my phone as a precaution, but hopefully someone can provide some insight to this issue?? [link] [comments]  | ||
| iOS limited connectivity behavior Posted: 27 Dec 2018 12:18 AM PST I just discovered the issue and can't believe a polished OS doesn't have support for showing an error for limited connectivity on wifi. My android and even blackberry(BB10) have this feature where in case my wifi has limited connectivity (No Internet) they switch to my active data pack (if enabled) or show error but my iPhone is still connected to my wifi without internet and has no alerts of any kind. I'm not really sure whether its a settings toggled I miss, but Apple support on twitter claimed it to be "expected behavior". Anybody else faced this problem ?, any solutions so I don't miss my skype calls again ? [link] [comments]  | ||

| iMessage Group alerts not silencing when alerts are Hidden. Posted: 26 Dec 2018 09:27 PM PST Sorry if that title is wordy. Basically, I have a group iMessage with two individuals. Our group iMessage thread is set to "Hide Alerts" and has the moon icon next to it. I still receive push notifications for the group: banners, sounds, etc. I've tried everything: deleting both contacts and adding them back fresh. Removing them from my Favorites list in the phone app. No one on my VIP list in Mail... I can't find anything on Google either. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]  | ||

I love android I had a note 4, it stopped turning on I am on a 60 dollar android phone My sister in law upgraded from 8+ to X I will receive 8+ The last time I used iOS on phone was a 3gs my brother gave me I do have have old iPad gen 2 Question Time: Is there anybody here who switched from android to iOS, specifically the 8+ that can give me advice on things that they wish someone had told them? I'm sure I'll figure stuff out but nothing beats being told you can do X thing by doing 1 step instead of 5 steps. I'm not asking for anything specifically. I will mention that I refuse to use iTunes because no, so I've always used copytrans manager. Which does an excellent job of keeping my computer iTunes-less. Lol so anyone have my situation and can provide tips and tricks. Ps - I have been watching numerous tips and tricks and stuff on YouTube I even sent one to my friend and she was like damn I didn't know you can do that. Videos however don't beat live people saying I had android you can do this just like that (insert tip here) instead of 5 tips that might be outdated or something that I'd have figured out.
