Idea: force touch alarms to bring up edit screen

    Posted: 22 Nov 2018 09:03 PM PST

I have to set lots of alarms. I get sick of filling the app with alarms I only use once when I could just edit an old alarm quickly. Right now it takes two taps to get to the edit screen, why not just let me force touch an alarm to edit it quickly?

TIL: you can open a singel Excel file multiple times and the changes show up in all open windows.

    Posted: 23 Nov 2018 12:55 AM PST

This would have saved me soo much time if I discovery that earlier. But somehow it never occurred to me to look for it. It's really helpful if you work on a file with multiple sheets and need to cross reverence values.

Via window>new window the file gets opened in a new window.

You can also select a cell in one window to have it referenced in a formula your typing in the other.

Fan noise on the macbook pro 2015?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2018 01:12 AM PST

I'm very sensitive to fan noise - that's why I love my 2014 mac mini.

I'm looking to buy a used mbp 13' 2015 base model off of ebay, and I'm wondering how does the fan hold up? I'm planning on having it closed and hooking it up to an external monitor for regular usage.

What’s your personal Apple product lineup look like?

    Posted: 22 Nov 2018 03:07 PM PST

iPhone XS, MacBook Pro 2017 13" Touch Bar, Apple Watch S4 44mm, AirPods over here. Been eyeballing the iPad Pro (probably 11") though, I don't need it.. but it might be a good addition to my workflow (I'm an architectural designer).

For the sake of sharing how other people use their products in their workflow and lineup, what's your lineup look like?

Blood Alcohol Calculators in App Store

    Posted: 23 Nov 2018 01:06 AM PST

Recently I tried to find such an app in App Store. My only request was HealthKit integration. Imagine my when I discovered that there was none! It almost seems there was some kind of purge of that app category in App Store. For example, this article was written in 02.11.18 (according to Google), but all links are now not working

The same is true for this article

Where are IntelliDrink, Blood Alcohol Track Calculator and other apps? What has happened to them?

Can anyone tell me where I can find Airbuds with QI rechargable case?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2018 01:18 AM PST

I'm not used to Apple products and am having difficulty figuring out how to get them. Can I order these online? All I see are there are bumps with a regular case that plugs a lightning connector to it. And when I check on Amazon I just see an off-brand case. Does Apple make good rechargeable Qi base? If you could provide a link I would really appreciate it thank you.

Any recent and conclusive butterfly keyboard news?

    Posted: 22 Nov 2018 07:26 PM PST

Hey everyone! Since the repair program and 2018 MBP keyboard updates were released in the summer, I haven't seen any media coverage and only a few reddit posts about the state of Macbook keyboards. Especially with the recent release of the Macbook Air, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experiences with the repair program, the new vs old keyboard designs, and any other useful information.

Personally, I bought a 2017 Macbook Pro soon after it was released, and ultimately ended up returning it within 14 days after going through 2 replacements for the "sticky key" and repeating key issues. Since then, I've just been waiting to see how Apple would address these issues (hence this post lol) before considering a new Macbook Pro or Air. Thanks again!
