    S4 44mm Steel - What's up with the shortage?

    Anyone know why the Steel S4, at least in 44mm, is in such short supply? It doesn't seem like the stores are getting very many at all. For instance, right now, according to iStockNow's reports of what stores received today, only two stores in the entire country have even one. Is this a supply issue, a demand issue, or a little of both?

    Edit: And the reverse question - who thought they should make so many Gold Aluminum with the Pink Sand Sport Loop? Those things are everywhere. Seems like supply is really outpacing demand there.

    Infograph Face Numbers I set the numbers 3, 6, 9 & 12 as “favourite” contacts. Pretty happy with this result. I retain the 4 important outer complications and gain a single solid numerical face in the centre.

    I already have a black sport loop and I really want the Seashell sport loop or some of the others like Indigo. Buying a new watch where my only options for a Space Gray are black and black. Or buy a silver which I won't do because my whole ecosystem is black. Or shell out separately for the sport loop in question even though I have no choice but to pay for a strap I don't even need.

    Trade in kit for Series 2 when buying a Series 4 online

    I thought I read here that the trade-in does not require handing in the band. I got my trade-in kit which specifically states that the band be returned as well. Anyone ship one back without the band and get credit?

    If that's the way, I'm probably not doing it if I would have to take a sizable portion of the $115 value to buy a black sports band for $49+tax. I think I would rather have the Series 2 sit in a drawer for a backup if the 4 needs to be sent in for service or something.

    Just got off the phone with Apple Support. I recently upgraded to the S4 and swapped out my S3 with the giveback program. Since my S3 had ~1 year of prepaid AppleCare+ remaining, I was able to get a partial refund on the unused plan. Definitely worth giving them a call!

    Apple Watch Face Idea

    First off, I know this may sound like a Reddit thread you've already read, but the last post I've seen like this was from over three years ago.

    Back in the day, I used to own an iPod Nano 6th generation (the little square one), and used to wear it like an Apple Watch during high school. One of the things I loved about it was the watch faces it came with. They were minimalist, stylish (for the lack of a better word), and some even worked as pedometers. Here's my idea- since the Apple Watch has a higher resolution and a larger screen size than the iPod 6th gen Nano, why not include the watch faces it came with for each of the Watch models? There's nothing fancy about them, and I imagine Apple could scale the designs down to meet the needs of whichever Apple Watch people have. They could even be categorized as "Retro" designs.

    Just an idea I had is all.

    I love the Infograph watchface, but I found digital clock more immediate than analog. I'd like to get digital clock on a complication spot that's not the top center I already assigned to Carrot.
    Besides the world clock trick, isn't out there any complication that just shows actual digital time? Are they unallowed?

    Cardiogram and Heartrate complications show very different stats

    At the moment cardiogram shows my bpm as 81. heartrate shows 66. Neither of them match what my blood pressure cuff show.

    I trust the cuff because my father, an MD, has told me the cuff is very accurate.

    I know neither app is at a rocket science level, but in general which app have you consistently found to be the most accurate?

    Can I listen to music on the watch, without pairing it with a iPhone that's near me? My employer doesn't apply me to bring my phone inside the building (no one can), and I really wanna listen to music. So I was curious if I can store some music on a Apple Watch, and use those airbuds or whatever they're called to hear the music.

    Edit: quick 2nd question to ask if the answer is yes. Do all series watches (1-4?) allow this?

    Series 4 does not charge

    So my Series 4 sometimes does not charge even though it indicates it is charging. When I plug it in it makes the chime and does the charging animation but when I check it in the morning it has not charged at all and has discharged. I usually plug it in with about 50% battery and I wake up with it having about 10% battery. Plugging it back in fixes it and it starts charging normally. Using different cables does not stop this from happening. Using a different wall adapter does not stop this from happening. Plugging it straight into a computer or battery bank does not stop this from happening. Its about a 50/50 chance that this will happen on any given attempt to charge it. I never had this happen until I updated to recent WatchOS 5 update. WatchOS 5.0 that came installed on it never seemed to have this issue. Is anyone else having this happen? Any luck on fixing it?

    I finally found one! It’s not quite the $11 clearance price I’ve seen on here but it’s good enough. Fit my S4 44 perfectly.

    [Bug] Does anyone else experience not being able to swipe right on watch faces randomly? I have to hit crown then go back to watch faces and they scroll through as usual. Any fix? I’ve restarted and also factory reset, issue persists at random times during the day.

    I woke up this morning and found that my Watch thinks I was standing during 2 and 3 am. I checked the SleepWatch app, and I was definitely asleep, not sleepwalking or anything. Don't think I've ever done that before anyway. And it only counted >20 steps by the time I woke up.

    Anyone else see something like this before? It is pretty odd, I'm getting a little annoyed by the inaccuracies of this highly expensive device.

    CarPlay?

    Hi all. Got my new S4 Friday, updated all software immediately via my iPhone X running iOS 12. Up until that point, I've had no issues with CarPlay but I noticed over the weekend that music was skipping on IHeartRadio and that Waze was jumpy. There were also times that CarPlay would just close and then reopen. Anybody else experienced this? I'm hoping it's a coincidence that I just connected the Apple Watch and perhaps that there are Verizon connectivity issues in my area. Car is a 2018 BMW 430i. Thanks!

    Limited complication choice on new faces?

    Day 2 of owning an AW here, I've quickly noticed there are a lot more complications available on the pre S4 faces. For example infographic modular has 7 in the centre for me while the old version has 36 (not to mention an adjustable colour theme). I'd understand maybe third party complications not working yet, but there's a lot of system ones that aren't available, and honestly I wouldn't see a problem with some of the third party ones simply showing up smaller than they're supposed to if it meant having functionality and getting the use out of the new size

    So far, customising faces has felt unfinished and pretty clunky as a first time user, am I the only one feeling this way? Is there any hint that this will get fixed very soon? I'm honestly pretty disappointed that the one watch-like part was neglected like this. What's the point in cramming in extra complications when there's no good ones to choose from?
