As a nerd, I'm still sad Apple Watch has no calculator Posted: 27 Sep 2018 09:57 PM PDT I mean come on! A calculator was like the original digital nerd watch killer feature. It's just sorta unforgivable that Apple Watch doesn't have a calculator. Or next month's calendar! But I love my Apple Watch. [link] [comments]
I don't get Walkie Talkie. At all. Posted: 28 Sep 2018 03:22 AM PDT I can't, for the life of me, figure out what the point of WT is. Calling a contact not only allows said contact to reject the call if needed, but it's already present and working. There's literally no contact in my list that I'd want able to yell out from my watch at any time they like, because they literally cannot know when might be an unsuitable time for them to do so. What is WT for? [link] [comments]
Has anyone found out how ECG is region-locked on Series 4? Posted: 28 Sep 2018 07:13 AM PDT Can it be enabled by switching the region setting to U.S.? I could not find anything using Google. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Sep 2018 08:27 AM PDT Finally the Apple watch will work through my Tattoos. I was happy to hear from another redditor that it was working for them. I took the jump and got it and this watch is so beautiful and works like a dream. [link] [comments]
Slept with S4 watch on and it lost a lot of battery Posted: 28 Sep 2018 07:49 AM PDT I got my watch yesterday and love it already. However, I slept with it on last night and when I woke up today, it was at 65%. When I went to sleep, it was definitely higher than that. I'm thinking I tapped it on at some points last night. How can I be sure I don't tap it on during future nights? [link] [comments]
Gold Milanese loop with Aluminum Gold Watch Posted: 28 Sep 2018 04:03 AM PDT Hi, Just ordered a Series 4 40mm Aluminum Gold for my wife. She really wanted a Milanese loop but I am not sure how it looks on Aluminum watches. Does anyone have this combo? Or has any photo of it? I tried looking for it but couldn't find it :( Cheers! Wireless chargers also usable for iPhones Posted: 28 Sep 2018 07:26 AM PDT Hello everyone, I'm thinking of buying an AW4 soon and as I have an iPhone 8 it would be the perfect time to switch over to wireless charging. Ideally I'd want to go to a charge on the go system where I charge my iPhone at work or at my desk at home whenever it's running low. This would also eliminate the unnecessary 100% trickle charging at night that while not bad isn't good for a battery either. As I'd rarely need to charge both my phone and watch at the same time I'd love to have a single charger that can either charge my phone or watch. Does such a charger exist? I remember reading some Qi chargers work for the Apple Watch but it after those articles I can barely find anything about it. Sorry if this has been asked already. Tldr: Is there a wireless charger that can charge an iPhone or a Apple watch on a single charge area? [link] [comments]

What setting controls the bedtime alarm notification on Watch? Posted: 28 Sep 2018 03:54 AM PDT I'm a really light sleeper, and I really like how the Bedtime wake tone on my iPhone gently nudges me out of sleep. However, I find the haptic vibration on my Watch is way too intense and RIPS me out of sleep. I can't figure how to turn it off. Does anyone know what setting the Bedtime alarm notifications fall under? [link] [comments]
Didn't preorder, want a silver 44mm, will the Nike be available at retail sooner than a web order? Posted: 28 Sep 2018 06:42 AM PDT Topic says it all, I want to buy an aluminum, 44mm silver (don't care on the band as I'll replace it anyway). Apple's site says I'm out to early November for a delivery if I order now. If I try to stalk the Apple stores in the area (through istocknow), is it likely some of the Nike versions will show up in the next week after they launch, or will those be similarly unavailable? I don't see many 44mm silver versions coming in retail sites at all. Thx. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Sep 2018 06:29 AM PDT So recently my S1's heart rate sensor stopped to work for absolute no reason... found out when I put it on in the morning few days ago.. So now I'm considering upgrading to S3 or the S4... I went online and found pretty decent price for a 42mm Nike version of S3 costing $250 (only been used couple times), or should I spend over $400 for the new S4? The new screen on S4 does look better than the S3, but ECG and some health improvements that I don't think it's quite necessary to me... More important to me is the speed improvements, the S1 isn't slow, but after updating to watchOS5 some apps takes 4~5 sec to open up.. [link] [comments]

Apple Watch S4 availability at the Apple Store (DE) Posted: 28 Sep 2018 02:31 AM PDT Dear community, I come from the Czech Republic and would love to buy the new Series 4 in stainless steel design. In the Czech Republic, Apple only sells the alluminium version, though. Germany is the nearest country the stainless steel ones are being sold. However, since I am from the CR, I cannot actually pre-order them online and have to presently buy them at one of the German Apple stores. The question I would love to ask you is, whether there is possibility to check the availability of the particular Apple Watch S4 at the particular store in Germany since I have to travel there and would not want to waste the travel for nothing. PS: I know that you can check the availability online at the store, however, I don't think they show relevant info since all the new Apple Watches, be it alluminium or stainless steel ones, have got their deliveries set to the same time, saying that they would ship at early november, which does not tell me anything about their actual availability at the Apple Stores. Thank you very much for all your answers. I very much appreciate it. [link] [comments]
Question for someone updating from s2 into a s4 Posted: 28 Sep 2018 05:54 AM PDT How much more accurate would you say that the heart monitor is, would you say that it feels drastically more accurate or just it's maybe more accurate? How much more accurate is the auto detect workouts feature in the s4? After initial use does the upgrade feel worth it? [link] [comments]
How can I download guided runs to my Apple Watch 4? Posted: 28 Sep 2018 05:50 AM PDT Can't find a way to do this, there's no "download run to Apple Watch" button or something. I want to use Nike's coach runs in my watch [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Sep 2018 05:46 AM PDT With the new info graph face there is a spot to place the calendar where you can see your upcoming events. I use fantastical as my regular calendar and unfortunately they haven't updated and their complication isn't listed as an option for the new info graph face. I noticed that Apple calendar doesn't show all day events on the days they occur for some reason. For example, if I have an all day event tomorrow, when I actually click and go in to calendar today it will show the all day event for tomorrow, but on the day of the event, it says no events for the day. This seems odd to me. I like to wake up and see what's going on for the day. Fantastical doesn't do this and keeps the all day events up for the day. Is there a setting or something in calendar? I noticed it is the same even for the calendar widget on my phone. I added calendar back to test and fantastical shows my daily event while calendar says no events for the day. Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments]
