MrMc not detecting local server? Posted: 28 Sep 2018 01:59 AM PDT hey all, not sure if this is an issue with my pc, plex or mrmc itself. After the new update, it seems to have broken for me. When I scan for media servers, it finds all my shares and the ones I pay into, but my own media server is never found. I used to be able to turn it on and off with my AppleTV 4K remote, but it's no longer working anymore. Volume control still works though. Dolby Vision + Lossless Atmos: Can any device do it? Posted: 27 Sep 2018 05:54 PM PDT I have 3 streamers in my entertainment center: Plex Server is running on the Shield, pulling data from shares on either the Mac or the Windows PC. Xbox One X: Can do lossy Atmos and HDR via streaming Apps, but can't watch remux'ed HDR blurays using Kodi. Can watch using Plex but the experience is awful and the audio is transcoded to AAC Apple TV 4K: Can do lossy Atmos and Dolby Vision via streaming Apps, but HDR and transcoded EAC3 (Plex)/ LPCM (MrMC) on local content only, so no Atmos locally Shield: Can do HDR and DD+ via streaming Apps, and HDR and lossless Atmos on local content. No DV of any kind due to lack of support. It ends up being a two horse race between the ATV 4K and the Shield. ATV 4K lacks in true audio passthrough, Shield lacks in Dolby Vision support. Matching Infuse subtitles to system font/style? Posted: 27 Sep 2018 03:00 PM PDT Howdy! So I'm dabbling a bit with Infuse and it's really working quite well so far. The one thing that does bother me a bit is how to get the subtitles to match the system subtitles by font and size. System fonts are standard helvetica white, but I can't get them to match. Trouble with Youtube TV app going out of sync Posted: 27 Sep 2018 08:35 AM PDT Any one else have trouble with the YouTube TV audio and video going out of sync after a while? Using Apple TV 4K I haven't seen the issue with any other app, Netflix, Amazon, Facebook Live, HBO. If I exit to the home screen and restart the app it's okay for awhile but goes out of sync. I tried setting the "Match Frame Rate" to "Off" and still have trouble. AirPlay stops mirroring when app is opened Posted: 27 Sep 2018 07:00 AM PDT I think this is something wrong with the app itself, but I figure I should look at all possibilities. I use 3rd party video camera app (ProMovie Recorder) on my iPhone X for filming and have been AirPlay mirroring my screen to use my TV as a video monitor. This was all working well and good until I updated to iOS 12 and now I can mirror without a problem until I open ProMovie, and that's when my TV screen goes black. If I minimize the app, the mirror pops back up. This doesn't happen with any other app, only ProMovie. I haven't updated the app and this issue only started after updating to iOS 12. Heavy Straming Artifacts Netflix Posted: 27 Sep 2018 11:06 AM PDT Recently I have noticed an insane drop in streaming quality with Netflix, mainly heavy artifacts all over the screen. I am connected via HDMI and ethernet. My other devices have no problem streaming content at high quality. I am really starting to hate this little device since it always has some kind of stupid problem that I can never seem to fix. Netflix was the only service working and now this happened. PCM plays as mono Posted: 27 Sep 2018 06:20 AM PDT I'm having an issue where PCM Audio (mostly music) are playing in mono (Left channel). When I go to accessibility and change the balance of the audio, the right channel is silent. I tried changing the audio format but to no avail. I tried Airplaying the music from my MacBook which I tested and confirmed to be in Stereo but still not workin. ​ I have the latest update (TV OS 12.0.1), Dolby Digital 5.1 works fine. ​ Anybody with the same issue? submitted by /u/ayyak [link] [comments]
