| Apple Watch won’t force reset. Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:37 PM PDT Hi all. I have a problem with my series 0 Apple Watch and I'm hoping someone here is able to help. The watch is no longer paired with an iPhone and to make matters even worst, it's been disabled due to entering the incorrect passcode too many times. I've tried force resetting the watch by force touching the power off slider. That's where the next problem comes in. For whatever reason, a spinning circle comes up after confirming the reset. The spinning circle spins for roughly 10 seconds then the screen goes black, I'm able to tap it and the circle comes back. But if I leave it for too long, the watch goes back to the 'face' screen, almost as if it's timed out. I have no idea what to do now. [link] [comments]  |
| Mac Mini display doesnt fit screen Posted: 01 Sep 2018 03:35 PM PDT Bought a mac mini and it doesnt fit the screen When i put it on standard it is 75Hz and really low resolution So i put it on Scaled resolution and FHD But then it doesnt fit in the screen. | iPhone Photos app seems to think iCloud is full Posted: 01 Sep 2018 06:03 PM PDT Whenever I delete a photo from the Photos app it gives me the message "Your iCloud storage is full. This photo will be deleted immediately. You will not be able to recover it from Recently Deleted." I checked my iCloud storage and I am only using 1GB out of 5GB. It wouldn't be a big deal except that it makes it so I have to go through an extra dialog to delete a photo which can just get tedious. [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 6s bricked unable to restore. Posted: 01 Sep 2018 01:27 PM PDT Got my iPhone 6s screen replaced a week go by a third party, has been working fine. Earlier today my Touch ID stopped working so I turned my phone off and when it came on it says iPhone disabled - conned to iTunes. When connected i get the not connected error 0xE8000015 So I put it in restore mode and connected it, but then I get an unable to restore error 3194. Any help? [link] [comments]  |

| iPhoneSE is using all the internet Upload when on wlan Posted: 01 Sep 2018 06:42 PM PDT Hey, i noticed while gaming that my ping was higher than normal. I checked the router and found out its my iPhoneSE. I dont know whats causing this, i restarted the iphone which didnt help. Photo sync is off, same with the icloud backup. I dont have my apps on it anymore to test if its caused by any of them. so its an empty iphone with no icloud backup and no photo sync enabled. it hit 450 MB so far, i have no clue whats the phone is trying to accomplish [link] [comments]  |

| [iMessage] Sending an image when blocked - should progress bar show up? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 02:59 PM PDT No other way around to saying this but I've been wondering if a person blocked me. I know I can try to call them and see if it goes straight to voice mail but I'd rather not try that. I sent an image to them a few days ago and remember seeing the progress bar appear as it would normally. Is this any indication that I didn't get blocked? | I'm desperate to find a portable monitor for my MacBook Air! (xpost r/apple) Posted: 01 Sep 2018 11:04 AM PDT I'm going to be travelling for work and my work laptop is a MacBook Air. I was looking at portable monitors, but it seems like none are compatible with the macOS on the laptop (High Sierra 10.13.6). My second thought was to find a regular monitor with an HDMI port and MacGyver a kickstand onto it, but I'm unable to find any that are around 15 inches, so the portability aspect is missing (it should be able to fit into a normal backpack). After hours of researching, I'm turning to you, Reddit! Does anyone have any solutions to my problem? Thank you in advance! [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 01 Sep 2018 02:22 PM PDT When I connect to my car's stereo via bluetooth either iTunes or Spotify starts playing automatically (I suppose Pandora would do it too) even if neither is active on the phone. What is the reason for this? I am not limited on data but if I was I would be annoyed that an app would use data without me specifically turning it on. This leads me to wonder if certain things never turn off on the phone? Spotify will pick up exactly where I left off. Edit: iPhone 8 with everything up to date [link] [comments]  |
| Brand New iPad Fell, What Are My Options? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 02:55 AM PDT On August 9th the 128GB 2018 iPad I ordered through Comcast was shipped to me. I put it in a (what turned out to be a piece of crap) case. It fell onto my vinyl flooring, and the screen greyed out. I don't think it's actually cracked, though. The sound seems fine. I see that accidental damage isn't covered by the included warranty. Apparently AppleCare + does, but can I sign up for it after damage has been done? Or are there other options I should consider? I'm disabled, and the $5 per month price was the only thing that made this purchase affordable. I imagine fixing or replacing the screen is very expensive. Ideally I'd like to fix it or get the same model, but I would sell it and get a slightly older one if I had to, if it ran the current software. The only working one I have now won't run anything past iOS 9.3.5. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 01 Sep 2018 02:04 PM PDT Hello, I have a 2012 mbp that has a known issue with its video card, apple had an extended repair for it but It only lasted untill 2016. I took to apple who said I can claim under consumer law. However I bought the laptop using my business name and was told it doesn't cover business purchases. I send the proof of purchase to a repair shop who said they'd open a claim with apple however they want £80 to process, if it gets declined by apple they don't refund it. Should I apply and hope they repair it? I read that these big companies like apple normally repair them for small businesses and aren't too fussed. Thanks for your opinions [link] [comments]  |

Here's the deal: I have a maxxed out 2017 Touchbar 15", and I recently got a 4k Asus monitor. It's currently hooked up via HDMI with a hyperdrive adapter, but it's stuck at 30Hz. The monitor has HDMI 2, whatever that is. Now, I need to change how this thing connects to the Mac. Do I: 1) Get a Cable that's got a Full Size Display port connector for the monitor, down to a Thunderbolt 3 port on the Mac. 2) I currently have a cable that's got a full size display port connector on the one end, and thunderbolt 2 on the other. I could use that and add a thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 dongle. Either way, I need to buy something. And I need to know that it'll work. What should I do? [link] [comments]  |
| Macbook Pro 2016 15 and Dell TB15 not fully working Posted: 01 Sep 2018 09:50 AM PDT Good afternoon, I've just bought a Dell thunderbolt dock (TB15) and all the USBs are working, the sounds outputs, power is coming in fine but I can't get anything through the displays- i've tried HDMI, mDP and VGA (I don't have DP available) but nothing. | iPhone X not syncing photos properly Posted: 01 Sep 2018 09:36 AM PDT First things first... i have the latest versions if iOS, iTunes, and OSX running. I've been having this weird problems where my photos won't sync properly. I last restored from a backup my phone on 8/19, up until that date all photos were syncing properly. I have taken photos on my iPhone X after the backup up until yesterday (8/20-8/31). When i sync my phone with my MBP, my phone will successfully offload photos to my Mac, but they will not sync back to my phone. For me to successfully sync all my photos I need to restore my iPhone from a backup. Has this happened to anyone? [link] [comments]  |

How would I go about moving my entire phones contents (whatsapp, pictures, apps) to another email? I just want to consolidate the data I have into one account because my current phone is a mess. Some apps were downloaded on email X, the other on Y. How would I go about doing this? I am planning on purchasing a new phone (Xs) - would it be easier to just set up a new AppleID there? | Trying to export photos to my mac from IPhone Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:41 AM PDT When I plug in my phone I'm using the pop up from imagine capture. My iPhone has 9500 photos/videos I want to export all at once. In the top left corner it says, 'my iPhone USB, 1628 items. Why is this? The same issue happened when I use drop box. | Safari tabs incredibly slow and unresponsive for no apparent reason Posted: 01 Sep 2018 04:41 AM PDT Safari (High Sierra, latest update) has been working flawlessly for me for the last 2 months or so. Switching between tabs was always instantaneous. Now, all of a sudden, switching between tabs has become super slow often taking some 7-15 seconds to switch from one to the other. I have 8GB of RAM and it's clearly not caused by Safari being forced to reload because of low RAM(no other apps are open). Even using the URL address field as search "link" to Google Search is incredibly slow and also takes the 10-15 seconds to load the new tab displaying the Google Search results. Using the "cmd+F" to search for words on websites is also superslow to load, or isn't visible when enabled(it's just a grey/white bar at the top of the page). I've tried toggling iCloud Safari synching on and off and this seemed to help but only for a couple of minutes or so whereafter the sluggishness returned. Now this "fix" has also stopped working altogether. My Internet connection is around 40mb/s download and 20mb/s upload so the issue isn't with the connection. The sites loaded on my tabs are also mostly just text and photos that are already loaded (like blogposts and news articles) and should be stored in the Mac's RAM. So it absolutely can't be a RAM or Internet speed issue. Typing an URL into the URL address field will also have the URL be invisible until the site has fully loaded. Neither the refresh "wheel" on the right appears nor the website symbol on the left of the URL. Does anyone have an idea for a fix that isn't the "toggle iCloud off" that I keep reading everywhere?
