    So I tried the basics, signing out of iTunes and restarted the phone. Just restarting and signing out of I tunes account. And I got 2 apps downloaded but it took over night and it's moving super slow. I tried switching to data. My internet is working great.. any ideas?

    Home bar

    When I'm in landscape mode and quickly turn my phone right side up the home bar sometimes stays in landscape mode and I have to put my phone to sleep and log back in to get the home bar back to normal.

    iphone x and Siri and driving

    This is a question for use of an iphone X with 2017 ford f-150 , sync 3; however, I think it applies to any recent iphone and recent cars/trucks.

    I have paired via bluetooth my iphone X. Paired with no issue and now there is a dedicated Siri button that shows in the command screen of my truck (that command screen is called Sync 3}.

    There is also a voice command button on the steering wheel and when pressed and held, Siri activates and listens. Great this works perfectly.

    Here's the scenario with the issue....get in the truck and sit the phone in the slot next to the shifter or in cup holder or leave it in my pocket. It is locked at this point, but even if I unlock it it will lock again within a few seconds if i'm not holding it. Then I start to drive. Press and hold the Voice command on the steering wheel. Siri icon turns blue to show it's active. Also the words siri show above the command module. Everything is perfect. She beeps to let me know she's listening. I say, "Send text message to Joe, mobile."

    Siri says, "I can't do that while the phone is locked. I wouldn't recommend you unlock the phone while driving." [or something to that effect]. If I reach down and pull the phone up to my face, it will unlock with face-id and then if i repeat that command Siri gladly complies. But, of course, the phone locks again when it sees that I'm not looking at the phone.

    This seems to defeat the benefit of the hands free iphone operation if I have to reach down and unlock the phone. I'll need to unlock it again for the next command ....and the next, and the next.
    I have "Do not disturb while driving" turned off {actually, it's set to manual, meaning I have to activate it to get it to work}. I have the settings command for Siri to work while locked enabled.

    Is this the way the iphone is SUPPOSE to work in the car? Doesn't seem right.
    Friend told me that I need to use Carplay, but it's my understanding that that requires I attach the phone to the truck via a usb. Definite hassle if you are getting in and out of the truck.

    It was certainly my understanding that I could get the phone to send text messages without it being connected to the truck via usb cable....that I could get the phone to send text messages wirelessly while in the moving truck. Is that information NOT correct?

    Does the Pitaka Magcase Pro work with full body film protectors?

    Specifically, I'm looking to get a Pitaka Magcase Pro for the iPhone X. However, I'm also thinking of investing in a back protector (like the one from GadgetShieldz) due to the glass back of the iPhone X. Usually film back protectors are around 0.2mm thin. I'm looking for a case that isn't TOO tight so that a film protector can be accommodated.

    Does anyone have enough experience with the Magcase Pro to shed some light on this?

    I don't know if this has been posted before, but most of the time when I try to Direct Message someone on Instagram, the keyboard moves up and covers up the messages, this is extremely annoying as I can't see what I'm typing without having to constantly click on the text I'm typing to retract the keyboard, the only way to fix this is changing the font size, (I use the smallest) and it will work for a few minutes, then it'll happen again.

    Anyone with this issue?

    Apple Leather Case

    I have been using my apple leather case since I got the x in April. I take it off periodically to clean the phone and when I do I try to be gentle to prevent scratches to the silver band. Recently I have notice that I have scratches on the band. I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else or a reason as to why the case is scratching it.

    Push notification problem

    So when I first downloaded apps like Netflix and YouTube, whenever I would cast to my TV, the video player app it self would show on the lock screen of my phone where I could rewind or pause a video. The problem is now my iPhone simply does not display the push notification for these certain apps, and ever time I want to pause a video I have to unlock my phone with face recognition and open up the app and pause it from there which makes it a hassle. Do note on apps like Spotify, the push notification always displayed on the lock screen and I could pause and skip through songs, its just that YouTube and Netflix are not working in comparison to when I first installed them.

    Anyone has experienced this and if so, possible fixes?

    My only minor gripe with this phone.

    I've spent about a week or two using this phone now, and I can look past pretty much every hapless fault this phone has. Such as the headphone jack, the notch isn't really all that bad. But where IOS's complete lack of customization comes in is the gestures. Which is why I've considered jail breaking. I cannot change the gestures to a more convient position on this tall ass phone screen. I'm left handed, so an agonizing stretch has to be made to bring down the control center when using the phone with one hand. Other than that, it's pretty cool.

    Which case should I pick for my iPhone X? (Pitaka, Lander, Moshi)

    Does Pitaka's Magcase line of cases actually work with wireless charging?

    I have a hard time believing that magnets within a close proximity to a wireless charging coil simply "do not affect" wireless charging. Anyone have real world results to back that up? (Full speed wireless charging at 7.5W, iOS 11.2+, no overheating)

    Please also list what model of Magcase you have (Magcase or Magcase Pro) and what wireless charger you're using.
