Is there a complication that just shows a "yes" or "no" in text or symbolic form that could tell me if I need to get up this hour? | I messed up, Apple Watch lost in mail. Posted: 23 Jul 2018 08:26 AM PDT So I buy and sell a lot of apple products on eBay and I bought a series 2 Nike edition for super cheap. Well I quick found out the speaker was shot, so I checked to see if it was still covered under the year warranty, and it had Apple care on it. So I chatted with Apple, and they sent me a box to ship it to them. Well I wasn't thinking and just dropped it at the post office. A couple of days later I noticed Apple hadn't received it yet, so I contacted them and I realized it was supposed to go to Fedex. It's been two weeks now and the watch still hasn't shown up. The post office said they don't have it, FedEx says they don't have it. I'm really kicking myself over this. I've pretty much given up. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else here before, maybe someone could give me some insight on what to do next. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Do notifications “delivered quietly” show up on Apple watch? Posted: 22 Jul 2018 09:29 PM PDT For some apps like Instagram and FB messenger, I mute the notifcations. They show up in notification center, but not on my phone lock screen. There are no banners and no sounds. In my apple watch settings, I have notifications for those apps set to mirror iphone. Nothing ever seems to show up in notifications on my watch though. Is there a way to make them show, or so I need lock screen notifications turned on in order to see anything on the watch? Posted: 23 Jul 2018 04:22 AM PDT I'm considering purchasing an extra watch, attaching it to a power bank and burying it in my backpack to use as a location tracker. Would that work? It makes a lot of sense but after some googling I'm surprised no one else has done it. $400 + $10/mo isn't too pricy compared to other high-end trackers, and having your backpack's location show up in Find My Phone instead of a third party app would be way more convenient if the pack is ever lost or stolen. I have just done the 3 rings for 7 days straight....I got the medal show up...parties all round, then I look this morning and the only one that shows is the 7 day move goal from months ago. So it hasn't synched?! Could it be that yesterday I was out with just the watch and no phone?! Confusing. | I would be nice if the Watch tapped you when apps were done loading Posted: 22 Jul 2018 03:57 PM PDT I'm new to the Apple Watch (S3), and I've loved it through my first three weeks. By far my favorite thing about having the watch is the ability to get quick, succinct glances at the things I check most throughout my daily routine. This usually includes Messages, Now Playing, public transit info (MuniWatch), and baseball/sports scores. The last two are what this post is mostly about. I love the idea of being able to quickly check the score of a game while at work or find out when the next bus is coming without needing to dig in my pocket. But this is much less valuable to me because of the time it takes the apps to load. I've become so accustomed to near-instant load times on my iPhone, and the delay on the watch just breaks the "quick glance" experience a little bit too much for my liking. If the Watch tapped you when the app was done loading, though, you could just open the app, keep walking/working/whatever then get your quick glance when the app's ready for you. I don't mean to sound like this ruins the Watch for me. I've loved it so far, even considering this minor annoyance. But it would be amazing if they added this, and would be a cool way to get around any issues with slowness. [link] [comments]  | ||

Whenever I go for a run I usually listen to music and having the "Now Playing" screen on my Watch is great to skip a track, rewind, etc. The problem is sometimes I get alerts from other apps, and when I click to them and then exit I go back to my home screen and I can't get back to Now Playing. | Exploding apple watch (repost from tmobile with return problem) Posted: 22 Jul 2018 08:32 PM PDT So I purchased an apple watch series 3 gps + celluar in space grey from tmobile, I ordered it over the phone ($481.76 total, paid in full with my debit card and was told that i had 20 days to refund the item. Great. Paid for overnight shipping, ordered june 19, 2018 paid in full. Order ship date was june 20, and recieved on june 21. I decided I did not like the watch, and decid to return it. They sent me a shipping Label on 6/24 via email, but that night (I should have packed the watch up and not worn it to work) I had a problem with the watch (that seems to have been experienced by a great number of people, about 8 pages of apple forum posts https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7889589?page=1) what happened to me when the watch malfunctioned was, I got a notification on my watch and lifted up my wrist to check the notification, in that exact moment the watch got hot and burned my wrist (very hot but not burned) and the screen shattered outward into my face. From what I've read on the apple forums is that the battery swells up and pushes on the screen causing it to shatter. So i'm already 4 days into my return. Bring the apple watch to the t-mobile store and they tell me they can't do anything because I ordered it over the phone. They say they can file an insurance claim and pay the deductible which (I thought was insane because the watch broke by itself) or send it to apple and possible get it fixed for free if it was a true manufacturer defect. I decided to send it to apple to try my luck and see if they would fix it for free (which they should have, I had the watch for 4-5 days before this happened out of nowhere. Not a scratch anywhere. They ended up charging me $75 to fix a screen that I did not have any influence with breaking. Apple shipped my watch back to me July 7, 2018, July 10th I shipped the item out back to t-mobile, the apple watch was received by t-mobile on July 13, 2018. They told me since it was shipped on the 10th and since the problems I've had having to get it fixed and get it back to them, they said they'd honor the 20 day return policy, but heres the kicker; IN 2 BILLING CYCLES I WILL RECEIVE A VISA GIFT CARD WITH THE FULL REFUND AMOUNT. thats RIDICULOUS. I paid OUT RIGHT FOR THIS PHONE AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WAIT THAT LONG TO RECEIVE MY REFUND!! I was told they would Put in a request to expedite my refund, but I'm not holding my breath. Very disappointed t-mobile. Please make this right.
