Audiobook player that syncs between devices? Posted: 23 Jul 2018 03:18 AM PDT Could someone recommend me an app which will sync MP3/M4B audiobooks between devices? Preferably not just the position, but kinda load an audiobook once and have it accessible across all my devices via the cloud or something? Any podcast apps that can do this? I'm using Audible and it would be absolutely perfect if I could load non-amazon books into it. Battery life on iPhone 7 Plus 11.4.1? Posted: 22 Jul 2018 09:06 PM PDT Ever since updating to 11.4, my battery life has been the worst. I never had this experience with the previous update. My battery life beta thing was 98% before updating to 11.4, now it's 96%. iTunes always syncs the same 2 movies to my iPhone-even if they're on the iPhone Posted: 23 Jul 2018 07:38 AM PDT Every time I plug in my iPhone to my mac to sync with iTunes, it always takes forever to sync over two movies: Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange. These movies are on my phone - I'm not sure why it wants to resync the entire movies every time? I just tested this by plugging it in, and letting it fully sync. I then unplugged and waited a minute. iOS 11.4.1 - connection problems with WiFi Posted: 23 Jul 2018 06:29 AM PDT Hi, after having upgraded to iOS 11.4.1 (iPhone 6S) I started experiencing connection problems with the WiFi: while iOS reports to be correctly connected, no network communication seems possible (App Store reports connection errors, email doesn't download, etc.). Restarting the WiFi on device (e.g. switching it off and on) solves temporarily the problem, but after few minutes the connection drops again. Also using the Reset Network Settings option didn't solve. The same trying to switch from 5Ghz WiFi to 2.4 (connecting to an Apple Time Capsule, LOL). For personal stuff it's my email, contact store, calendar, etc. I don't use iCloud to store contacts so I make Outlook.com the default in my phone. Of course no "local" contacts if that is even possible anymore. Somewhere between using the PC, the phone, Outlook for Windows/Mac, Outlook.com my contact photos, nicknames, and custom tones get lost periodically. Some of my contacts seem to get an automatic photo from some social network but it's not consistent. I don't want to move all of this over to iCloud. Anyone else have trouble with keeping wifi off for the day? Posted: 22 Jul 2018 01:07 PM PDT I was under the assumption that turning off wifi in the control panel would turn it off for the remainder of the day. The Wifi network at my work is spotty at best so I tend to turn it off but it's constantly connecting again. Usually when I leave for lunch and come back. It's just getting a tad frustrating. imessage on a unactivate iphone? Posted: 22 Jul 2018 12:28 PM PDT hello everyone and forgive me if this is a common knowledge question as i am not too familiar with iphone and ios. i have a Iphone 5C that i had sitting around with a phone number i have ported to Google Voice. the last time this phone was activated was when Ringplus was getting shut down. I go through the settings and i see the phone number that i had associated with it. its the phone number ihad linked to my Icloud account. i have logged into that account on the iphone. it activates as imessage using the icloud username.. but it wont activate using the phone number that was previously already activated.. will iphone not let me use that phone number for iphone messenger and facetime? the phone number shows up in settings and shows up under imessenger in settings.. but it shows a loading symbol next to the phone number. i would really like to somehow use this phone number for imessenger and use it as a wifi device. submitted by /u/symbiance09 [link] [comments]
