Posted: 22 Jul 2018 07:44 PM PDT As the title says, when I do a search and get results it says; "Available on Netflix", or "available on iTunes" but I never get the option available on Amazon and I for sure own them. On my other tv I do sometimes get the option. I have the 4k hdr appletv. Anyone know why? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 22 Jul 2018 03:51 PM PDT Hi all, iv recently seen my friends setup on his android box. Running kodi and playing all his hvec265 films and series from his nas.. works cool for him. I decided to copy but android seems so glitchy and the airplay apps are rubbish. Was wondering if I could get the same setup with Apple TV box instead. I know it won't run kodi but Has Apple TV got something similar.. to bring all your series and films together in a library to play from? And can it play hvec265 ? [link] [comments]  |
| Avoiding the remote trackpad altogether Posted: 22 Jul 2018 03:28 PM PDT Hello - I'm attempting to get my wife on board with Apple TV (we have a 4th Gen), but the trackpad is absolutely killing us. She hates it and is threatening to bring back the cable box... For the sake of my sanity, and our marriage, I would just like to find a solution. Here's the kicker... she loves the siri voice command stuff - so I went with a sideclick assuming we could use both. But now that I'm programming it to replace various remotes, I'm realizing that the trackpad (touch pad) motion can't be captured while pairing. I'd like the swipe up to be replaced by ^, down v, left -, righ + and then just press down on the touchpad to select. Does anyone know a good trick for this? In summary, we'd really like to keep all the apple tv remote features except the up/down/left/right in the trackpad. Hoping that the sideclick can do it. [link] [comments]  |

| Not all apps sound playing through Airplay speakers. Posted: 22 Jul 2018 08:22 AM PDT I have two Sonos Ones as Airplay speakers for my appletv 4. The sound works great in apps like Netflix or HBOGo, but it wouldn't play any sound from the NBCSports app, or another app I watch my antenna through. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |

| (Only One) Apple TV 4K keeps randomly waking and turning on the TV Posted: 22 Jul 2018 09:33 AM PDT I have 3 Apple TV 4Ks and 1 of the generation just before the 4K Apple TVs in my house. They're all updated to the latest (non-beta) release. For some reason, in the last 2-3 days, one of my Apple TVs in particular has continuously woken from sleep, turning on my TV in the process. I'm not sure what's triggering it, or if it's just a random hiccup. There are a few other devices around (two home pods, three MacBooks, a few iPhones, and a few iPads). One iPhone/iPad are running the latest iOS 12 Dev Beta. I'm wondering if maybe there's some kind of issue with AirPlay 2 where one of those 12b devices is causing the wake? It's also odd that it isn't happening to any of my other Apple TVs in the house. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Is there a way to fix it without turning off the CEC feature? I use the Apple Remote as the only remote for the TV. [link] [comments]  |
| Is the Funimation app for apple tv premium only? Posted: 22 Jul 2018 08:37 AM PDT I set up a free account on funi's website and it works fine on my smart tv, but the apple tv app gives the message "you must be a premium subscriber to use this app". The faq on funi's site says all apps are compatible with the free sub. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail. I would really like to experience the app on apple tv before I think of going with a paid sub as the smart tv app is okay but not amazing. [link] [comments]  |
